Now, I remember back in the early seventies, there are not a lot of grocery stores Indian grocery stores around.

And I remember my mom doing this, and I completely forgot about this, so I'm kind of glad, she reminded us.

But when you don't have a grocery stores around and I know a lot of people live in locations that don't have Indian grocery stores and you can't find the ingredients to make a tamarind or Emily Jack me, this is a fabulous quick substitute for that.

And I'm glad you mentioned 19 seventies because I have no idea what you talk.

Um, but here what we're using is apple butter.

It's available that all grocery stores simplest thing you could find apple butter, and it's usually in the peanut butter jellies.

So Just look for it over there and buy any brand any size.

Anything you convey your hands on the open the jar and we're just gonna pour this out somewhere where we can mix other ingredients to it.

It's after you got it into a mixing bowl.

The rest of the ingredients are completely to taste, so keep tasty, keep adding, and you'll come to the right flavor.

Now, this is already sweet, so we're gonna add a little bit of salt.

And when I add a little bit off roasted cumin powder and usually our tamarind chutney has a little kick to it, so is red chili powder, and they're gonna add some lemon juice.
