  • Hi.

  • Welcome to show me the curry dot com.

  • I'm hip, I'm a ninja.

  • And today we're gonna show you how to make Musalo.

  • It's at home, so I know.

  • Ah, lot of us like the both of us.

  • We don't like super sweet things early in the morning.

  • And it's effective life, most breakfast items, doughnuts and pastries.

  • Everything is really, really sweet.

  • But if you don't want that super sweet, you know, kick start in the morning And you really want something savory, Perfect.

  • Perfect.

  • I think no here has a super healthy and quick can be made.

  • Really, really simple.

  • Now you get those back.

  • It'd versions, at least in India.

  • You get those packed masala woods packages, but this is number one.

  • Be using much healthier roads were using steel cut oats and number two You know, you get everything at home, you could make it at home.

  • So why bother with the packets, Right?

  • Know what stuff?

  • Know what goes in your body?

  • Let's just get started.

  • So, in a heavy bottomed pan, I have but one teaspoon off oil, and I'm just reading point to heat up.

  • So this recipe makes good for two so nice romantic breakfast for Heather.

  • And I, uh I'm gonna add half a teaspoon off mustard seeds and lowered into pop T to this.

  • I'm gonna add just a few leaves off great 18 teaspoon off burrito.

  • And I would have had half a cup off steel cut oats and just finally cut green chilies to taste.

  • So I want to reduce the heat a little bit, and I'm just gonna toast the boats.

  • So if you can't find steel, cut oats or you haven't have another variety of votes like the quick cooking ones, they also will work steel, cut oats or just a little bit healthier after toasting them just for a little bit.

  • I'm gonna also add in some vegetables.

  • Now, this is absolutely optional, but I just absolutely loved them.

  • There's a, you know, makes your breakfast a little healthier.

  • So just a little bit off finely chopped onions and about two tablespoons of green peas that have just soaked in hot water for a bit.

  • And I've got a little bit of carrots, so just diced now this is to taste.

  • You could put more or less, and you can even change up the veggies you like.

  • Green means you can have some green beans again.

  • I want to let it cook for another 23 minutes and keep stirring so that the old stone burn it's been about 23 minutes.

  • I'm gonna now add one and 1/2 cups of water.

  • Also add in a little bit of salt to taste and just a little bit of crushed red chili flakes.

  • Just give it a color in a little extra spice, and we're gonna increase the flame just a little bit and allow the mixture to come to a boil.

  • And once it comes to a boil, we'll turn it down and we'll let it simmer for about five minutes.

  • So once it comes to a boil, we're gonna reduce the flame again and make sure he keeps during in between.

  • You don't know what's to stick to the bottom, so it's been five minutes, and you can actually taste the odds and make sure they're cooked.

  • But unlike instant oats, they have a lot more.

  • You know, they have a bite and they never pick a texture or they're more chewy.

  • So just keep that in mind and this is done, I'm gonna turn off the stove.

  • So the final step for this recipe is we have some yogurt right here.

  • It's about two tablespoons.

  • And what I'm gonna do is just beat it little bit like this and at just a couple of tablespoons of water so you can use Charles so but a miracle.

  • So basically, it's messy, and you're trying to remove the lumps before you mix it in, and we're gonna pour this in and give it a quick mix.

  • So you're good provides a little tartness and a little freshness to the muscle oats.

  • It gives it a very interesting flavor, and this is ready to serve.

  • So the masala.

  • What's already?

  • I'm gonna also add in some fresh cut cilantro leaves in it or on your leaves on DDE.

  • Give it a mix.

  • This is a really hearty breakfast.

  • It looks so good.

  • It just just looking at it looks so satisfying.

  • That's true.

  • I'm sure it's very filling Good some time for the day's test.

  • Delicious.

  • Now, as you notice, if you keep it sitting for a little while, voters tend to thicken up, so even when you're cooking, it looks a little liquidy, but it does that cannot been comes really hardy.

  • I love the nutty texture.

  • Absolutely.

  • Oh, I see.

  • That's delicious, Really, really good.

  • And I love the fact that it's quick to make.

  • You can make it even simpler without the veggies.

  • Or you can add in whatever bridges you like extra veggies and again, the the thickness off the dish actually depends on you.

  • I like it more liquidy, so I tend to put a little bit more yogurt sometimes and just quickly have it while it's still hard, right?

  • So perfect.

  • So enjoy your delicious and hardy Marcello.
