  • it is a pilot.

  • And today, on high, like a game we're talking about taco salad, everybody's favorite.

  • So I'm gonna show you how to make some baked flour tortilla shells and then give you some ideas for how to repurpose anything in your fridge, literally, almost anything into a dinner that everyone will just rave about.

  • It's amazing.

  • It's like a magical magic trick.

  • So for are the shells, which is the basis of this thing you can do is either either kind of tortilla that you like.

  • I'm gonna show you how to do the burrito style first, so you'll need a big baking sheet and a couple of I'm using this little Pyrex Ram Akins Oven safe bowls of most like dishware is oven safe, so it's kind of smallish, bowl shaped like that.

  • I'm gonna put him upside down, you know, spritz a little oil and then you just wanna mash your tortilla and it'll kind of naturally make a few folds.

  • So just go with that wherever it naturally wants to fold.

  • Just let it being an molded around your bowl bold mold.

  • Oh, that sounded not appetizing.

  • Sorry.

  • Just keep squishing in a little my friend Emily loves Tuggle salad so much the firm burst the one year I made up a name rap for her.

  • And the first line was Eat is for eating lots of taco salad.

  • So that's how much she loves it.

  • And I love you, Emily.

  • Okay, then we're gonna get a little spritz a route to the outside, and then put these in a 375 degree oven for eight minutes.

  • Now, if you want to use smaller 20 is if that's what you have on hand and you don't want to go out and buy burrito size, the bull method doesn't quite work.

  • But this one does.

  • So in this case, look the store tears or kind of stale.

  • Anyway, you could really use anything.

  • Just gonna do a little come on both sides.

  • And if you're right, he is our like mine and actually, like super duper stale.

  • Then you should microwave them first to soften him up for the old was break.

  • So now there we go.

  • And if you were using corn tortillas, you could totally do this too.

  • But also, you'd wanna kind of get them softened up beforehand too.

  • so there and then again, 375 degree oven for about eight minutes.

  • So while those cook you can get your toppings ready, basically, anything you might put on a taco is what I called your cold top ins.

  • And then, of course, some refried beans are the best, but you could use regular beans, and then I prepared several different fillings.

  • So if you have some leftover chicken, you can saute it in a pan with some onions, some oregano, maybe sometime.

  • Mateos.

  • If you have those, maybe just some chopped up diced fresh tomatoes.

  • If you have those, it's really any kind of vegetables that you have that might add a little bit of juice.

  • It's, um, salt and pepper Once teed it up.

  • Then you're ready to serve that If you have some vegetarians, you could make a quick little vegetable saute.

  • I did one here with onions, poblanos, carrots, garlic, fried up some cumin seeds in the oil, and that's really great.

  • You could add corn.

  • You could have bikini, any kind of vegetables that you have laying around and afraid to taking up space and getting soggy.

  • Stick him in there and then finally, of course, beef taco filling.

  • I just basically did the same recipe that I do for crispy tacos or Mexican pizza.

  • I mean, I've done several different versions of beef taco filling on the show already, so you can find one that you like.

  • I'll put several down below, but this is just yeah, onion, garlic, chili powder, beef, little oregano, salt, pepper.

  • He's busy now.

  • Once your shells have baked for eight minutes, we're gonna take him out carefully, kind of flipped them off of the Ram Akins.

  • Stick him back in the oven for two minutes just to make sure the inside gets nice and crispy, and then we'll be ready to assemble.

  • Two minutes later, we have these gorgeous crispy shells and take this one.

  • So what your deal is, you layer Cem beans in the bottom, whatever kind of meat filling you want or a vegetable and then taco tap ins.

  • So let's do a little less little jalape o tomato.

  • It's been a non tro in case so all right.

  • Easiest type of cell in the world, because look, you can put whatever you want inside it.

  • All you need to do is know how to make these cute little shells, and people will be wowed.
