  • It's cooking and crap thing.

  • Hey, kid, I'm here today with Bain, and Scott is going to be joining us this time, right?

  • We're gonna be making some double drizzled in chocolate shortbread cookies.

  • First thing I want to do is I want to start with one entire pound or that's four sticks of challenge brand butter.

  • I'm getting this little his little stool so that he'll be able to help me add in some of these ingredients.

  • I'm just gonna add the butter and then you can help after the butter.

  • Okay, so four sticks.

  • Then we're gonna put in one and 1/3 cup of sugar so you can go ahead and add the sugar.

  • And now, being I have this in burning here and then we're gonna add in a teaspoon of likes vanilla, vanilla extract.

  • I can't.

  • It's your turn.

  • You hold this.

  • Never mind my turn.

  • Andi, I like to Oops.

  • This is thicker because I'm using a being cased, which includes the actual vanilla beans in there.

  • And we are going to turn this on a mix it until it is well incorporated.

  • So we have four egg yolks and we're going to add them one at a time.

  • And if you just if you just bend it, it'll it should hopefully let go one.

  • And then after each addition, we are going to beat this.

  • Well, go ahead and add in all four of your guilt as waning goes the last one.

  • And this is well incorporated.

  • We are going to you could put them in this thing.

  • Weaken slowly.

  • Add in a total of four cups of all purpose flour on dhe, 1/2 of a cup of amusing couple powder.

  • You can use that or you can use, um, Hershey's special dark cocoa.

  • Okay, so go ahead and put in a little bit.

  • Just a little bit of that.

  • You want to use this thing phone a little bit with this, we're gonna gradually at because we're making our short break right.

  • And then l broken out in just a little bit of the cocoa powder that's incorporated where we'll have been adding more that flower make sure to scrape down the sides of your bull.

  • All right.

  • The last of the cocoa went in.

  • We're gonna add in a teaspoon assaults on and we're gonna add in the last of that flower.

  • Now, you go ahead and get a cup of pecans chopped.

  • If you want to go ahead and them ahead of time, that would be nice, too.

  • Don't forget to strip down your ball.

  • Like I said, we're gonna divide this, go into two rolls on, make lobs out of them.

  • All right, So we, um, divided this in half, kind of sort off, and I'm gonna roll them into a 12 inch log on hoping that it's very warm here today.

  • You probably will not have this issue where you are, but living here in oi way still have some very warm weather.

  • Now, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna roll this in the cup off.

  • What 1/2 a cup of these cons.

  • Because we just want the pecans to be on the outside of this, um, or log.

  • And then each one is going to be Each log is gonna be ruled separately in cling wrap here and put into the refrigerator for 6 to 8 hours.

  • I do want to make sure that you push on the cons so that they are in there.

  • So I'm gonna wrap these on, get them into the house.

  • You can see I obviously did not divide this into two equal parts, but it doesn't matter because we're gonna cut them on Dhe.

  • Once they're hard enough, we're gonna just like them on them.

  • So these might take a little bit longer.

  • Since they're a little bit on the chubby side, we'll be back in 68 hour, right?

  • It has a day and 1/2 later, and these are really hard.

  • Now, coming is my bamboo cutting board from Vita Verse.

  • He was very sharp knife and cut these at about 3/8 of a ninja.

  • I'm chopping them a little bit too thick about quarter of an inch where?

  • I mean, I'm sorry.

  • Almost half an inch on.

  • We're gonna put these into a 350 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes while it's cooking.

  • We're going to prepare our drizzles.

  • You can choose, um, whatever type of chocolate you want to use to drizzle.

  • I have the special dark and I have butterscotch.

  • So to each one of these, you want to add a tablespoon of shortening, you're gonna put them into the microwave.

  • And, um, every 15 seconds or so you want to make sure that you check, um, so that they're not burning.

  • Just go ahead and zap that in your microwave.

  • These cookies themselves are absolutely delicious.

  • That's it.

  • Struggle, Chocolate.

  • We'll go crazy, That one.

  • And then I'm gonna come back with with what a touch about.

  • I decided to just leave it with the chocolate, because what?

  • After I tested it with the chocolate, I think that before it it better just as the regular shortbread, without the chocolate on it.

  • And by adding another chocolate on it would have made it just, you know, more chocolatey chocolate than I really wanted.

  • So there you go.

  • A single drizzled chocolate shortbread cookies Enjoy.
