  • in this video, I'm gonna show you guys my top 10 street food in Kyoto.

  • So I've been going around count over a few days now and there's just so much street food that I want to introduce you guys right now in the ski market.

  • But there's just so much more So we're gonna do this place and the surrounding area.

  • I can't wait to show you guys all of this.

  • All right, let's get her food on.

  • What better place to start this food tour than where we are right now?

  • Seiki Market.

  • The seeking market is known as Killed does Kitchen, and it's been around for 400 years.

  • And one of the main reasons why Nishiki Market opened up here in Kyoto is because this very spot runs clean and cold ground water, which was used as a refrigeration system by shop owners back in the day.

  • Now they're got 100 and 29 sores crammed in this narrow 400 meter market, and it's equally crotches with locals and tourists alike.

  • Number one.

  • Taco Tamargo at Chi so you can find this octopus an egg combo everywhere in the market.

  • But I'm throwing down this popular, pretty cocky and and specialty.

  • Signed the shop inside of this head.

  • They've stopped a quail egg in there.

  • I think there's something right there.

  • Just looks so creepy.

  • A little bit like smells a little bit sweet.

  • Definitely have, like the octopus smell.

  • Let me think about it.

  • It's slightly sweet.

  • I would have imagined it to be sweeter the way like it's colored.

  • But what's nice is that the Octopus it's tender, I thought was gonna be a lot more chewy.

  • Usually don't see this in Tokyo.

  • Families.

  • I haven't seen it in Tokyo.

  • I just love how they put the quail egg in there.

  • Whoever thought a quail egg and an octopus.

  • What a brilliant idea.

  • Right?

  • Number two.

  • Tomoko Yucky at Tanaka Kid on this shop is known for its old rough, lovely and elegant tasting Dashi Maki made only with their high end till go eggs market.

  • Tamargo is a type of tomato yucky, but it uses a special dashi soup and is usually not sweet.

  • Their baby all murder is also quite popular.

  • But today I'm gonna show you their signature.

  • Dashi Maki Tomoko look.

  • It's so thin this acute special called Ko Dashi Maki exert from Kyoto itself, and it just made it fresh just now.

  • It's just so soft and you can see it just like bouncing.

  • Right now.

  • Let's take a bite.

  • That's amazing.

  • It's seasoned perfectly like a hint of salt, sometimes that I'm ugly, that he is like a little too sweet for my liking.

  • This is perfectly seasoned, and it's so light like you could eat this all by yourself.

  • No problem.

  • But it's always better to show someone.

  • It's like seizing is perfect.

  • I mean, that one's as good as this, but this is super soft and nice.

  • Okay, at Kona Manga, the shop specializes in, and they have just so many different, like tofu rendition.

  • They have signed on doughnuts you because she and they even have soy milk.

  • But as you guys know, fried food and I have to go with their soy milk cream.

  • Okay, usually, but is just fried.

  • Mashed potatoes is what they just read.

  • You look really closely, but just have a dream in there like a nice bride show.

  • Oh, that is a days of heaven, nice and crispy outside Shell.

  • They have actually have some reading these mushrooms in there, which is nice.

  • It gives it kind of like a mushroom soup kind of days, and it's delicious so soft I can barely hold it like smashing it.

  • Oh, I like that three means, but it's so creamy knowing that it's healthy.

  • Number four oysters.

  • At what time?

  • What on is one of the few shops where you could eat giant fresh oysters and other sashimi?

  • It's always full, so when you find an open seat, just grab it with bigger, bigger.

  • You sure look how big these oysters are.

  • It's bigger than my head because I get bigger than my head.

  • We've been walking up and down and trying to find the place has the biggest oysters in this place does.

  • And there's actually a nice seat here, which is pretty cool as well, so I can feed just right in front of the store.

  • Why, that is that is insanely creamy as one of the creamiest oysters.

  • I've had a look at the juices in there.

  • Look at that.

  • It's amazing you don't get regular just like I've been in the States and about oysters, but never this big.

  • Oh, huge was like a meal in itself.

  • What I love about this place is that you can just order all this actually just right here.

  • Number five fish get Madison is known for their amazing handmade fried fish cakes.

  • I just get so Marge Simpson crunk just looking at the items on their menu.

  • It's still hot.

  • This'd be a human skin, which is made out of tofu but also supposed to have a unit, which is shrimp.

  • They just served it right now, so it's still hot, burning my hand.

  • Supposed unity in it, which is supposed to be a route open that up.

  • Oh, there you go.

  • There you go.

  • Look at that.

  • Basically, it's a fish cake, and it has all these different ingredients.

  • That's good.

  • You can see how oily it is.

  • My hands you see my fingers or just straight up oil.

  • But it's delicious, though our outer skin is a little bit like hard and crispy, but not so much on the inside is chewy, like a normal fish cake should be.

  • I like it because it's sweeter and fluffier than a lot of fish cakes that I've tried.

  • You can definitely attains the mommy in here.

  • There's a lot of flavor.

  • It's like it's It's amazing how much flavor that they've packed into this.

  • Number six grilled fish at No deal no deal is a river fish specialty store dating back to 1912.

  • Payoff for seasonal fish like this.

  • Sweet fish original.

  • Be prepared.

  • It may not be forever.

  • I know that was governing.

  • Check out this Are you?

  • So the lady says you can eat everything.

  • You can see how assaulted that tail is.

  • So if you're not in the bones that maybe avoid this one, it's worth trying.

  • Just don't eat that.

  • Now let me take you outside of the market.

  • Number seven, Chief, start at Big located in dramatic kill Boca.

  • Be honest.

  • I wasn't planning on doing this because they have a shop in Tokyo.

  • But it's just so good that I had to recommend it.

  • They have the regular cheese harbor right now.

  • They have again, which means limited time only, and they're doing a blueberry version of it.

  • Let me just show you what it looks inside.

  • Oh, stay more cheesesteak.

  • Look at that creamy filling, and it has a blueberry in there and has a cheesecake in this nice, crusty shell.

  • All right, so let's take the first bite.

  • Uh huh.

  • So delicious.

  • Perfect creaminess shell itself.

  • So Rusty has like a hard cookie, kind of crushed the soft portion here, almost like a pudding inside of that creamy, and the blueberry tart is it goes well together.

  • Hard, crunchy cookie shell.

  • It is a winning combination.

  • Plus, it's my 2nd 1 today already.

  • Number eight Katsuragi from Mission.

  • Yeah, but Mission is an award winning Kadaga joint with several shops located on Lian Killed.

  • Um, so this shop behind me has a fried chicken, and you guys know I love fried chicken.

  • One thing that's nice about this place that has all different toppings for the fried chicken, and I have all about the toppings as teriyaki mayonnaise as mayonnaise.

  • It even has a macho flavor.

  • But if you're familiar with my videos, you know I love spicy food, so I had to go with a golden cayenne pepper.

  • Let's see how spicy this is like that.

  • You can see all of the spices that are wrapping it.

  • Someone like that.

  • McDonald's Shaka Shaka Chicken.

  • This just makes me so happy that spice kicks you right away.

  • It is spicy.

  • It is spicy, It's salty, it's a fried, and it's good.

  • Meat is tender, hard, crispy, crispy outside.

  • Maybe it's because when he ordered, it was freshly fried.

  • That's probably one of the nice things about this place is when you order it, fry it right away.

  • It might be over seasoned or some people I'm actually okay with the salt.

  • I like salty foods, but people that don't like salty foods and maybe a little bit too much.

  • So I suggest asking them to just, like go easy on the toppings.

  • Number nine Black Rahman et Go Gil.

  • Situated on a side street next to Nishiki Market, you'll find this unique ramen shop.

  • It's not your typical Roman shop, as it's been designed, more like an easy Kaya.

  • Take a drink offering various side dishes and hot pot items, and this shop is owned by the same company who created a brutal Roman famous Tonkotsu Ramen shop.

  • So I just got the burnt me sell Roman.

  • It's cool because it has some noodles.

  • Just shoot.

  • Look at that, No, T.

  • Of course.

  • Even a cabin in there is a special one.

  • It's a little bigger than the average normal one in this space suit.

  • It's actually not as thick as I thought it was gonna be pretty soupy noodles are thin, the news, or like a little bit harder than normal.

  • It has his own unique flavor on the Bronx, but you don't get any of the bitterness that you would think from burning it.

  • It's quite delicious.

  • Taste is Joshua.

  • And Number 10 melon paan at Kofu Kudo had to finish off this newly opened number on bread shop.

  • Tucked away on the sidewalk of the main street.

  • She Jodie just walking by, your instantly hit by the sweet smells of freshly baked goods.

  • All right, look, you got madame bonding Kyoto.

  • They just gave it to us, and it's still warm.

  • It's nothing.

  • The soft cream that much on vanilla said with vanilla, because it's the one that sold the most.

  • Here in here, it's still hard to the touch and see that they still have sugar crystals the top.

  • Not a lot like some millet palm that I've had before, but it still looks like they have some nothing about this.

  • But my recommendation is to get the vanilla ice cream with it.

  • Again, I can't stop eating this nice.

  • This part is like almost like a biscuit or something.

  • It's like you cookie ice cream with a little bit of fluffy.

  • A quick Internet way just had Roman, but I gained a whole then, All right, so that concludes my top 10 street food in Kyoto.
