  • Hi, guys.

  • Welcome back to my channel today.

  • We are doing a video that been very, very, very much requested, and I was a little hesitant on doing it, but I decided to do it.

  • And it's gonna be my designer handbag collection.

  • This is very materialistic video, but a girl likes nice things.

  • What can I do?

  • So I decided to show you some of my favorite bags.

  • All of them have, like, little stories behind them, which I love.

  • I'll show you some of my pride and joy that I purchased for myself, by myself for myself.

  • I'll give you tips throughout if you are on the market to buy yourself now or in the future.

  • Designer bag, what you should look for and what you should avoid and which were some regrets.

  • So the 1st 1 that I wanted to show you is definitely the most like, prestigious handbag in my collection.

  • This is the Hermes Birkin bag.

  • It looks so big on camera.

  • This is 35 centimeters.

  • This was actually a push present from Gary to me when I was pregnant with her first child.

  • Jakey, this is something that was so so hard to get.

  • I don't know why they're making it so difficult.

  • It's obviously all about the marketing.

  • Her mess is an amazing company, very high end.

  • But like, come on, why do people need to go on waiting lists to pay you money anyway?

  • So Gary was looking to surprise me with the Birkin for a very long time.

  • There's all these, like politics and all the stuff you need to do, like purchase a certain amount off items in store, and then when they see that you spend a lot, then they'll like, give you the option to put yourself on a waiting list.

  • You usually can choose which Burke and exactly you want.

  • Whatever is one comes into the store, they'll call you, and they'll be like, Hey, we have this one.

  • And like green crocodile, do you want it or not?

  • It's like it's so weird.

  • But, um, we got a little lucky we didn't buy anything from the store, really didn't put myself on a waiting list.

  • We were in Miami traveling, and Gary just decided to be extra annoying, which in general I find that really helps you in life.

  • He kept going back, and they're like.

  • No, we don't serve No, we don't.

  • We don't have any Birkins.

  • We don't keep any Birkins the minute they get in, like customers waiting for them for months or years.

  • So they're out.

  • But Gary kept going back.

  • And then this one guy got so annoyed with him that he's just like, just let me go in the back and see what I can do.

  • And then he brought this one, which was really pretty.

  • It's really out there.

  • It's red.

  • It has gold hardware.

  • But you know what?

  • For a bag like that, if you already buying one, you definitely kind of one to get something fun that you love.

  • So we got this one and, well, I ever get a Birkin again.

  • Hell to the No, just because I find that it's not so usable, I feel like it's for a little like older women.

  • I know now, obviously you see young girls carrying Birkins.

  • But I don't know, like this is probably something aware when I'm older, I'm not going to get rid of it.

  • But for now, being a mom off almost three, this is not comfortable.

  • You, like, can put a lot of heavy stuff in it because then it's gonna ruin the shape of it.

  • And then you're like, spend all this money and now it looks like a sack of potatoes.

  • It's an interesting, but I travel with it sometimes when I go to Gary and I own, like, you know, a nice vacation.

  • This is definitely something that brings me memories.

  • It was a really fun, funny experience, and I love Gary for being that annoying guy that just kept on, like asking if they have Birkins.

  • But I would definitely not purchase another working again.

  • The only bag I would purchase for myself in the future would be a Cali, which is kind of similar, but it actually has a long straps, so you can either wear it with, like, handles or use this trap, which is, I think, a little more manageable for me.

  • So this is it.

  • This is the first.

  • Back when I started getting into designer bags, that didn't happen until I met Gary.

  • I didn't even know much.

  • The hostages didn't imagine actually, purchasing one had, like, other things I had to pay for, like food and apartment and stuff.

  • But when I met Gary.

  • He's such a generous, amazing guy, and he introduced me to designer bags in general, in Israel, growing up, I didn't even think young girls could own Chanels or Louis Vuitton or whatever.

  • It wasn't the culture back then.

  • Now it's definitely much more happening there, but I think it's also because of social media.

  • So I wasn't even aware that this is something people strive for.

  • Only when I moved to North America about nine years ago I started seeing that, like 18 year olds rock Chanels here like it's nobody's business.

  • So when Gary surprised me with my first Chanel, which was this one, I was very like, Oh my God, can I wear it out?

  • Or like people gonna rob me like, How does it work?

  • I obviously I got really excited like I'm a girl and such a pretty bag.

  • And it was It was really wonderful was a very like pretty woman moment.

  • Maybe not pretty woman, because she was a prostitute.

  • It was really beautiful home.

  • I was living in New York at a time, and he came to visit me and we went to an event, and I think he was so embarrassed for my little pleather bag that I had with me that he's like, Can I take you tomorrow somewhere?

  • And I was like, Sure, So he took me to a Chanel boutique and he's like, choose whatever you want and after fighting for about 40 minutes, because I was like, I don't want anything.

  • Don't buy me anything.

  • I don't want it.

  • I don't want it.

  • You can buy my love.

  • You can buy my love, My love don't cost a thing And then I just I came then because he tried to do something so nice and I was just being annoying.

  • You convinced me to get this first bag that I absolutely adore.

  • I love it so much, which is a classic medium Chanel in lamb skin.

  • So mistake number one never buy lambskin because if you're someone like me who actually like, uses their bags and is not necessarily like want to spend their evenings putting blankets under the bag, you wanted something that smart, much more durable and resistant to things.

  • Lambskin is not, and this is also a light color.

  • So the sub discoloration There's some darkness here.

  • Also, it scratches really easily.

  • I usually wear it for, like summer events because the colors just matches most of my wardrobe.

  • The next class action now that I got it was like still absolutely my favorite purchase ever is this one.

  • This is also medium.

  • I always buy the same sizes for my Chanel bags.

  • This is the perfect size to me where it's not too small and not so big, so you can wear it during the day and you can wear it at night.

  • And this is caviar with silver hardware.

  • I wanted to do a silver hardware because I think gold with red as you seen on a Birkin is very like Ha so wanted something a little more toned down, and I purchased this one in Miami and still still my favorite.

  • It's literally upgrades.

  • Every outfit that I ever wear required that such a bride, awesome color, so beautiful and its care of your skin.

  • So it's so like I can work with kids and nothing happens.

  • The next one in this collection of the classic Chanel's is a classic black one.

  • This is a staple bag and has gold hardware the double flap.

  • There's not much to say about this bag just like it's perfect.

  • And that said, these air like kind of my three colors that I purchased that I think are such a good kind of staple to have they go with literally everything in my wardrobe.

  • So this is something that I've obviously built throughout the years.

  • This is not.

  • I bought it at one time.

  • The thing with me and Chanel is very simple.

  • When I started kind of getting into designer handbags, I really wanted to find, you know, what is my style like, how do I like to dress?

  • Obviously, you're gonna evolve through the years and your style is going to change.

  • But for me was always kind of like feminine classic.

  • I wanted to find shapes and colors that will kind of stand the test of time.

  • And there are so many companies out there, so many great brands that are more trendier, more edgy, like Balenciaga and Selene.

  • That's not my personality.

  • It's not the way I like to dress.

  • That's why I'm kind of sticking two bags that sometimes maybe feel like a very safe choice.

  • But I want to be safe because they're freaking expensive.

  • I don't wantto go and just buy something that's super trendy.

  • And I do have one bag that's like it, and it's the Chloe they backpack.

  • This is the Mini, and I bought this one for myself a few months ago in New York.

  • Chloe is a company that kind of resonates with my style.

  • It's very feminine, very flowy, but it has a little like many edge to it.

  • In a way, I really like what this bag is about.

  • First of all, it's a backpack, which is really suits my lifestyle with the kids.

  • And I wanted something that just a little bit different and a little more trendier.

  • The additional classics that I have, I love it.

  • I wear it literally, almost every single day.

  • The only thing is that this is suede, and because you have to open the bag and put like your finger on this way it desk and 30 I don't know how it's gonna look in a couple of years, but it still looks pretty.

  • If it's far enough, you don't see the stains, so we're good to go.

  • I was thinking, like why didn't I get a darker color?

  • But honestly, I see people that have thes in darker colors and you can see against way they're scratches.

  • There's X spots, so it's kind of inevitable.

  • But this has definitely been like a really cute purchase that I decided to step out of my comfort zone and by and I love it make so much noise.

  • My kids know where I am at all times because of this excess.

  • I'm a mom of two boys.

  • I got really into backpacks lately.

  • A backpack that we purchased the 1st 1 of kind of additional backpacks was this one, and we got this in Moscow, Russia.

  • I haven't seen the shape anywhere before then when we traveled last year, so I got really excited.

  • And it has a really interesting like color to it, really like that.

  • It's not necessarily black.

  • It has kind of an excellent color, but it depends on what you wear.

  • And like on the weather outside, it goes from egg plan to kind of like brownish kind of black, so very versatile color and again, it's very, very convenient for me because it has the straps and it's quite roomy, like you can put a lot of stuff in there, so I will travel with that as well.

  • It iss lambskin.

  • So you have to be a little more careful.

  • But so far it's been pretty good.

  • When we purchased that, I was wearing it all the time all the time And then I think like six months after I was in Toronto and I saw the same backpack but in gray and I'm a sucker for gray s o.

  • I decided to spoil myself and get this one again.

  • This is something that I wear all your around.

  • It looks beautiful in the winter.

  • It looks beautiful in the summer, the same concept, just the light of color.

  • And I love it.

  • I love the gold on it, just like a really convenient and awesome back to have.

  • So I've been really happy with this and then the last but not least is my most recent bag purchase that I bought myself for Mother's Day.

  • I was really looking for something kind of in the blue tones because their third baby is a boy.

  • So I wanted kind of a little splash of blue, and I decided to go with Chanel, obviously, because that's where I prefer to invest my money, and I decided to be a little more adventurous with shape instead of going for, like a classic one, I decided to take kind of this vintage e.

  • I think this is a shade that they used to have that kind of brought it back and put a spin on it.

  • And it looks like this super cute like a lady bag.

  • But it has a strap, which is very convenient for me, and it's small, but you can kind of wear it during the day, and you can wear it at events at night.

  • So I really like the versatility, and I like the fact that the color is like a pop of color.

  • So when I wear beige wides, grazes is such a beautiful accent to it, and that's it.

  • And I got my blue.

  • And this is also caviar because I stopped buying a lambskin after the few lambskin that I have fun Fact.

  • My first ever designer bag, Woz.

  • I don't even know if it's considered designer, but it was Tommy Hilfiger and I got it for myself and friends, and I was so proud of myself.

  • I thought that like I felt like I was literally wearing up like a Louis Vuitton.

  • It was just so you know, But I travel with head back home and it got stolen out of my suitcase.

  • So that was a very short lived designer bag moment.

  • It was also super ugly.

  • Now that I remember.

  • So I'm happy that they stole it.

  • So this is really it.

  • Just remember that before you go and buy your first designer back, think about how you're gonna look at that bag in a couple of years.

  • You don't want to spend all that money and buy something that's so, so trendy and then it's just gonna go away.

  • And you're like, Oh, what I'm supposed to do with this now?

  • Because I have some of those and I'm like, trying to sell them.

  • It's not easy.

  • And then think about the colors, especially if it's like your first bag.

  • Think about a color that will go with your wardrobe, but they usually wear.

  • Think about the material to make sure they will stand the test of time, and that you don't have to constantly worry about where you put it down.

  • Super annoying.

  • So this is it you guys.

  • If you have any questions about sizes?

  • About colors?

  • I would love to help you out.

  • What was your first designer bag?

  • Or what is on your wish list for your first designer bag?

  • I would love to hear.

  • That's it.

  • Thank you so much for watching.

  • And I'll see you guys next then.

Hi, guys.
