Now here we are, and you can clearly see that I've got within touching distance.

This one appears to be about 10 years old.

Because of this, she's quite slowly, even in basic everyday tasks.

But that is not why these things are dangerous streets, a self defense mechanism whereby they might catch fire or explosive under stressful situations.

The G 6000 here included due to risk posed by the battery.

For example, this document states the lithium ion batteries used in these systems can overheat, posing fire and burn hazard to consumers.

Since the May 2009 recall, HB has received 38 reports of batteries overheated and ruptured, resulting in 11 instances of minor personal injury on dhe 31 off minor property damage.

Now the reason I purchased this one for £45 here in the UK was because, firstly, I wanted to see if this one had ever had a battery replacement on dhe.

I was also interested in how it performs because it features an AMG 64 Athlon x two t k 53 process, sir.

So, firstly, I like the back story, the whole recall thing.

I found that quite interesting on dhe.

Secondly, I just wanted to check out how a laptop this street would perform in everyday tasks on dhe, of course.

Um, gaming, too.

So let's get into it.

First, check out whether or no, this laptop has one of the batteries affected in the recall according to the serial numbers on this site, right?

So batteries in these are pretty easy to check.

Just flip the machine over back.

So on and we've got to do is pull the switch on dhe check If this serial number on the bottom here matches any of those that were among the re called HP products now, immediately, I can see that this one starts with C T 630 which, according to the summit, is not few among the danger opposing battery.

So that is a good start.

So firing up this laptop and it seems the on off button isn't just home to the laptops power, but also a wide range off strange noises, including what sounds like a bill in firing range when we did boot into Window seven.

No, I really have to say that the colors of this screen absolutely pop.

It's a 12 80 by 800 screen, but it's got some really nice deep colors to it.

And I have to say that the quality of this display is a lot better than you'd find on some modern laptops, color and sharpness wise.

So, despite being nearly 10 years old, Wow, it really does give a good first impression now that I know it's safe to you as well, I can relax a little bit, so let's take a quick look at the specs.

Well, it really isn't going to be that fantastic are on a quick cinema jar.

You could probably compare it to some older, single court intel chips into desktop chips.

That is, in terms of performance, like the cell on G for 60 for example.

So you're not gonna be getting magnificent processing power out off this thing.

Graphics wise, we've got the G Force 7000 m serious from in video as well as on board in 46 10 M graphics to which I believe support up to direct X nine and nothing more.

So finding any modern games that run might be a little bit easier said than done Now, I already explained that general usage is well okay, at best five Fox will probably take about 10 hours to load up when you first click it.

But after that, everything seems to run.

Okay, though I'd recommend certainly staying on Windows seven as Windows 10 will slow this thing right down.

Also, like the old school clunkiness of this machine when compared toe modern systems, it's just big and got tons of ports and connectors built in that really are quite handy.

Even today, there's also a certain level of sturdiness about it, which you won't find with modern machines, either.

I feel like I could drop this off a cliff, and it would be fine when it came to games.

The laptop actually handled a lot off classics quite well, and it did so quite silently.

Usually when you pick up a laptop of this age, it runs quite loud due to all the dust it may have gathered over the years.

But here it remained pretty quiet.

Battlefield to the game we played at the end of this gameplay demonstration made the fans spin up the loudest, but it really it wasn't allowed machine under any circumstance, which may indicate that it's had a little bit of internal clean, perhaps within the last couple of years.

I mean, it handles classics like Simpson's hit and run just fine.

Far crack to actually had to record a bit of gameplay from another system because the frame rate was so low her that I couldn't record it directly from the laptop.

As you can see, we were actually getting about five frames per second by the figures which wasn't reflected by the game play at all.

I mean, for 30 f b s in a lot of older games.

Well, it can probably handle that, but not my gels.

While this isn't really an explosive deal, so to speak, the initial risk Waas there when I first picked this up, but it didn't really do that bad.

The H P G 6000 is still in okay machine.
