Southern Cross University is closing its Lismore campus in northern New South Wales and one on the Gold Coast after a staff member visiting from the Philippines contracted Covert 19.

The man attended workshops at both campuses last week before returning home on Saturday.

A university spokesman says 45 people who came into close proximity with him will be contacted.

Three additional Corona virus cases have been confirmed in Queensland.

The 42 year old female partner of a 38 year old woman with Covert 19 has tested positive.

She remains in isolation on the Sunshine Coast.

Ah, 46 year old Brisbane woman has also been quarantined.

The University of Queensland is on high alert after a 22 year old male student contracted the virus.
