  • hey guys thank you for joining me for another episode in this episode we're

  • gonna tackle plastic guttering do we recommend plastic guttering just to put

  • it right out there we 100% do not recommend plastic guttering and the

  • reason why we don't recommend plastic guttering it's not really a material

  • that's going to last listen guys the only time you'll see plastic guttering

  • on a home is if the homeowner did a DIY didn't really have the right information

  • or maybe he searched through YouTube and found all these videos on how to install

  • plastic guttering and how good the guttering is you will never find a

  • professional gutter installer installing plastic guttering it's either gonna be

  • like I said a DIY er that doesn't really have the right information and like I

  • said if you ever see that plastic guttering on a home it was from a DIY er

  • or just a guy a jack-of-all-trades just doing an installation not really a

  • trained gutter professional a gutter professional will never install plastic

  • guttering it's not really worth it when you can get aluminum great gutter

  • seamless installed on your home if you search through my channel you'll find

  • plenty of videos on installing gutters downspouts and also where to get the

  • material for that act if your going to get a gutter installation it would be

  • best to do it right the first time now these are the samples I have here this

  • is one of the plastic downspouts that you'll receive and as you can see now

  • this was installed this was something we removed from an insulation that was

  • installed you know for about five years now

  • the homeowner said that gutters never really worked properly they kind of drug

  • it out because they did a DIY and they spent a good amount of money on

  • installing it themselves and that's usually what you'll find if you find

  • that plastic gutter installation you know like I said it was the homeowner

  • doing a DIY or a contractor installed it they spent the money they really don't

  • want to remove it because most times you'll find it they don't function right

  • off the bat first second third rain usually within the year you'll see that

  • the gutters really aren't what you're what you were looking for they don't

  • look good visually when they're done and the fact that they don't really function

  • a hundred percent properly within a year you got leaky seams gutters clogging

  • real easy alignment issues waters not draining properly it's really not the

  • way to go and then this is the gutter that you'll get

  • as you can see here now you can see the gutter kind of all stained up on the

  • inside because it was just always holding debris the customer said that it

  • just overflowed twelve months of the year

  • whether it was cleaned or not during a heavy rain it would just overflow so and

  • there's nothing but seams in this type of gutter I mean it's just now even a

  • seamless gutters gonna have seams but the amount of seams in this it's just

  • astronomical and it's almost impossible to keep them sealed so there are some of

  • the reasons why we don't recommend a plastic guttering in general it's just

  • not really a professional grade you know overall if we was to give that a rating

  • and be a one-star guys if you're looking to do a gutter installation you want to

  • do a DIY check out my channel if you're gonna do a DIY you're gonna want it done

  • professionally if you're a homeowner you're looking to hire a contractor

  • you're gonna want to make sure you get at least two to three quotes because the

  • thing is if you're going to get this insulation complete you'd be better off

  • doing it right the first time getting it done professionally no matter where

  • you're located where you're watching this video whether we service your area

  • or not you can contact a local gutter contractor the types of material you're

  • going to want to use I think if you really give this thought I think you can

  • see that the aluminum gutter is gonna be the type of gutter that you're gonna

  • want to get installed it's made to last 20 30 40 years it's going to be there if

  • it's properly maintained you can get the gutter in seamless runs a 20-foot run

  • you can get it in seamless 30 foot run 40 foot we're on 100 foot run you can

  • get a seamless run with no seams in the gutter so the point is guys if you're

  • going to get a gutter installation do we recommend the plastic gutter it not a

  • recommended gutter installation we just went over the main reason why we don't

  • recommend it but the whole point is if you're gonna do that gutter installation
