Today is the sun dipped behind some clouds.

But Oscar and his dog, Krypto, had made this trip many times before.

Soon they came to a bridge and gingerly stepped into his freaking massive would.

As was his custom, Oscar stopped halfway across to stare at the shallow creek that flowed maybe 10 feet below.

It was at this point that Oscar realized that they were not alone.

Coming from the other end of the bridge between them and their tuna fish sandwiches was Dickie Larry Teeter.

He was with three of his cronies that Ostrov vaguely recognized, and they were approaching quickly.

Oscar considered his options, but there was really nothing compared to do but hold her ground and hope for the best before them faster and stronger than any 12 year old.
