Mexico has closed its museums, libraries and state run theaters in the capital as the country tries to get a handle on a swine flu outbreak that may have killed dozens of people.

And it's frightening the nation particulary maintenance.

The country's health secretary says the outbreak constitutes a respiratory epidemic, and his warn people of a number of symptoms.

At the heart of the matter is a new strain of swine flu that combines genetic material from pigs, birds and humans in a way researchers have not seen before.

Officials there say that so far at least 900 people have fallen ill and 60 may have died from this and others wearing masks lined up at hospitals to be tested.

 There are fears that this could unleash a global flu epidemic, and the World Health Organization is following the matter closely, and officials say they are very, very concerned.
