  • this past week, Bethesda at E 3 2020 leaked.

  • You would think that not even a year after the essay, the company that oversees E three has a major leak of many of the attendees details that there would be a little bit more concerned with maintaining security.

  • But lo and behold, to get another fairly, largely, just a few months later, this leak is it major or groundbreaking in any way?

  • But basically what it was was from E.

  • Three's official website.

  • We were able to see who was already signed up to attend E 3 2020 and although but as the attending E 3 2020 wouldn't typically be big news as we see increasingly large amounts of people ditching E three Jeff Gilly being one of the biggest ones, you had that very famous Todd Howard interview right after the reveal of Fallout 76.

  • So the fact that they are one attending in her lock for attending even this early is quite significant, especially when you see what other major names or not yet on this list.

  • So with that being said, I think it's an interesting point in time to actually speculate or look at What could this mean for Bethesda?

  • Addie three.

  • And what exactly can we expect from them this year?

  • And I would argue, depending on how things pan out, this E three has the potential to either be massive or immensely disappointing.

  • Similar to Bethesda 2017 E three, which many regard is the worst they've had thus far.

  • 2019 also isn't too well regarded, but we lease Got Waste Landers and the announcement of a battery.

  • Alpher Fallout 76 which, even if you don't like those two things.

  • Human n peces dialogue choices and Battery Al or things that were fairly large news.

  • So one of the interesting things to look at around this is is it notable that Bethesda is registered this early for E three is one of those pieces of information we basically don't have a look at.

  • We know that, but that Z three invites tend to go out around mid April, and that's also when their posts like hey, we're actually only three this year is live now.

  • Of course, this leak came several months before then, so it could be that they actually are registered earlier than they typically do But there's not much to really suggest that and if anything, a point to the contrary and interview from a while ago that for some reason I cannot locate Todd Howard actually mentioned that at Bethesda towards the end of the year before the New Year, they actually do a bit of an internal presentation, a look at some of the projects the teams are working on.

  • In some ways, he described how that acted as a pre e e three.

  • So considering that would have just happened months ago, it isn't shocking that they were a lock for E three even this early.

  • Now, the most interesting points around E 3 2020 and Bethesda for me at least come for Bethesda game studios as we don't really know what exactly is coming from this company, and it's actually been very quiet as of late, and you might be like, Oh, that's fairly normal.

  • That's typically how things But no, it's really not in particular with this case.

  • This is the most in the dark.

  • We've been about the future of Bethesda in a long time.

  • We've horse, no star field is next, and there's been a lot of back and forth as two star field 2020 or 2021 being the second most likely outcome.

  • If it turns out being 2020 wolf, that means let fall out 5 2040 And although the debate rages on word around Star Field 2020 or not, I feel like the evidence points in a couple of different directions.

  • One of the points four Star Field coming this year is the fact that Bethesda actually started work on this right after fallout.

  • Four.

  • Even though their next game was fallout 76 it seems like they kind of co produce Star Field and fault 76 in tandem.

  • And, of course, from the time from fallout for his release to fall 76 is released.

  • They quadrupled in size and now have four studios within Bethesda game studios.

  • Although something interesting an interview to look back on.

  • One of the most revealing that we saw from Todd Howard actually came just before the announcement of Fallout 76.

  • Unless he actually said a few very interesting things.

  • Firstly, is a counter to my previous point.

  • How Bethesda never really does things in parallel were never we're never doing them completely in parallel.

  • Yeah, so there's always one project that's in preproduction, maybe for years, and another one we have in full production, where the bulk of the team is on it.

  • And then some people might be focusing on preproduction on something else.

  • And those air different skill sets, whether it's concept artists or this or certain types of programmer.

  • So it could have been the cases.

  • They didn't actually work on the two games in parallel, but more of committing everything to Star Field than committing almost everything to fall 76th and back on to Star Fields.

  • But then, just shortly after that quote, he says, This which I think could be one of the most revealing and so usually what's happening, you know, taken animation, system change, Um, that we're doing.

  • Ah, right now we're finishing for one of our projects, though that's a project that's in preproduction.

  • Getting a new animation system.

  • Where is the one that's in full production?

  • Is using the old one this interviews from March of 2018.

  • And although we didn't realize it at the time, the project that's in full production here is Fallout 76 on the project that's in preproduction.

  • Getting that totally new animation system is likely to be Star Field.

  • Maybe it's the eldest roll six, but that seems weird to start.

  • Preproduction and animation system so far had on back Game, which seemed to suggest that in 2018 specifically March of 2018 Star Field was still in pre production, which does make me quite a bit more wary about a potential 2020 release date.

  • We're used to this 3 to 4 year gap from Bethesda, and even though they have expanded, maybe now the fact that they are actually working on a totally new I p in a totally new environment does come with some additional challenges in getting some of that working space.

  • Space travel and space mechanics are definitely foreign for this company, so I don't know Star Field 2020 is the definite maybe, but one thing I will leave you with its star field is coming in 2020.

  • I think the day will know about it is June 3rd 2020 which is 102 days from now on.

  • Hey, set a little countdown so I could tell you I told you so.

  • Where does the state come from well, with their past two games, 76 fallout for.

  • But as there has been very formulaic in the reveal, actually, having the teaser go up the Wednesday one week preceding their E three conference is a way to build hype for that conference and get youto watch.

  • And to build off that point, Bethesda again is very, very formulate.

  • When it comes to these things, I keep seeing people hoping that we'll see a star field teaser or trailer or an elder Scrolls six teaser or trailer at either Pax East or maybe even at the C three, even if they're not coming out this year.

  • But I would say that's very unlikely.

  • They'd found a formula that's worked quite well.

  • They followed it quite closely with Fallout four Fault 76 even somewhat scam.

  • Special Edition.

  • They don't tend to tease things or reveal things years ahead of time, so I wouldn't expect anything around the eldest girl six this year, except some or interview questions getting shut down by Todd and Pete.

  • Although I know for one, I'd love to be proven wrong.

  • That's a discussion on the Big One with Star Field.

  • But even outside of that, there's a lot of other interesting stuff with Bethesda game studios.

  • Even with Fallout 76 we know that fall 76 is apparently lasting forever, according to Peter Heins, although that was said before the release of the game.

  • So although right now we're oddly more in the dark about the future of that game than we ever have been before.

  • A year ago at the start of 2019 we got that fully fledged road map as to what's to come with that game.

  • But, of course, with the delay of waste Landers, that definitely does change things, and it does make me curious about what we see.

  • Next way signers effectively now has Ms to release dates originally the fall of 2019.

  • But then also, Kyu won 2020.

  • It's technically missing by a week or so, which is interesting that suggests to me that they really are working on waste lenders likely told the final minute or otherwise.

  • I couldn't think of another good reason to not release it in Cuba on 2020 like they originally mentioned with that in mind from the release of waste Landers to e three.

  • There's not a ton of time to actually work on something totally new to have a new trailer on it.

  • Ready so that what?

  • E.

  • Three I say It's definitely likely we'll see more around fault 76 in whatever year two on the next big deal.

  • See Wavell Intel.

  • The literally only have two months from the release of the past.

  • You'll see to the time that trailer would have to be finished.

  • It would be cutting it pretty close.

  • So if anything, I bet we hear more about their plans or concept art or a new P p p mode.

  • I mentioned that because something else that is interesting is we haven't heard much about Fattori Al as of late.

  • We know that with Battery Al, it's actually worked on by one of these separate studios at Bethesda, Maryland is working on Star Field, Austin on 76 Dallas was working on the Battery al mode for 76 as well.

  • It's kind of helps with some of the other projects, So maybe as of late, Dallas is just working on waste lenders.

  • Otherwise, we haven't seen a major release for the battery AL mode since September with that second map.

  • So I wouldn't be shocked if we see some big announcement from them in some form, whether it be a major new update for the Battery AL, another big push to try and get it active, especially with the release of Waste Landers or maybe even a new mode at this year's E three, like a TDM or reintroduction of the survival mode with some new mechanics to try and get some of those new players interested again.

  • Although fortunately for this one, we actually don't have long at all to wait until we have a better idea of what's coming next.

  • As the lead, Unfollowed, 76 just recently mentioned that during his panel it Pax East, we may get some insight into what's to come after waste Landers, which otherwise we know basically nothing about.

  • I would imagine whatever is mentioned.

  • There could be something we hear a lot more about at e three, although that, of course, only actually covers three of Bethesda's for studios.

  • Which is interesting because outside of that, we also do have Bethesda Game studios Montreal, which again is one that's helped on various projects but seems to have more of a mobile focus.

  • Todd Howard in the past has mentioned how he basically always wants to have some mobile Dean in production with Bethesda.

  • In large part, that is, probably that studio is.

  • Therefore, as of lately, of course, I'll fallout shelter.

  • We saw Fault shelter online this past year in China and then the eldest Rolls Blades, which missed its original release date but ended up coming early last year.

  • Blade seems to be somewhat stagnant, so perhaps we see something new around that at this year's E three, or perhaps even something new.

  • The star Field really is coming out in 2020.

  • I wouldn't be shocked to see Bethesda do something similar to what they did with Fallout four and Fallout Shelter right on the night of the three release a mobile game that will start to introduce us into the world and atmosphere of Star Field.

  • And I think regardless of whether or not Star Field is 2020 or 2021 that is likely cause it was really successful.

  • Fallout Shelter is the most downloaded game for Bethesda, literally out of any game they have granted, it's free But that also is a very interesting statistic, and, you know, it's one they're paying attention to.

  • As far as the elder scrolls content a little bit sooner, we know that the eldest Rules Online is getting its dark heart of skyrim deal.

  • Sea Wave here will be able to actually return to several notable locations in Skyrim and that set to release all over 2020 with confirmed releases in June and August.

  • And those are things were definitely going to hear more about Addy three.

  • Likely with playable demos.

  • Do Maternal is another one.

  • That's pretty interesting, as it was originally set to come out late last year.

  • I got Delayed, told March of this year.

  • So to get posted a few months before E three, and it's a it's another one.

  • That's probably a lot for some kind of deal.

  • See or expansion announcement June 2016 had its own set of deal see and will likely see a similar style with this one, especially if it ends up delivering as far as the other studios.

  • We don't know a ton.

  • There's several projects in development like death loot ghost wire Tokyo those are two things might hear details or trailers about at this year's E three this wire Tokyo in particular, there was a three year gap in between the evil within one and two and 2020 would mark another three year gap.

  • Although there's seemingly been some firings of potential internal troubles with that studio, so who knows how that affects things?

  • There's also the breakout hit from last year's E three with Commander Keen Thea.

  • Part about this is Commander Keen was announced.

  • It obviously got quite a bit of backlash, especially among legacy fans.

  • Pretend since then, we've literally herd like nothing.

  • No release date is no.

  • No additional details seem to have been revealed following that E three announcement and gameplay trailer.

  • So maybe we hear more about that.

  • Maybe it quietly got put down, but I think with all that laid out, you could really see how if, But as the Game Studios doesn't have something up their sleeve this year, it could be another slower e three.

  • Which, of course, isn't necessarily the worst thing in the world but obviously isn't the best thing in the world either.

  • We may see another surprise announcement from 1/3 party studio working with Bethesda.

  • I think we would all love to see something like a fallout through re master, although I still think that's very, very unlikely.

  • Or maybe even the announcement of things like Mott support for Fallout 76.

  • That would be pretty special.

  • Otherwise, that's a look at what you could expect from Bethesda at E 3 2020 Based off what we know thus far.

  • Of course, it's still relatively early in These things Will change, will be able to fill in some of these blanks, in particular, as you see what things get announced before e three, and I'll give you some insight if they actually have some big announcements for during the three until next time.

  • As always again, I thank you all for watching.

  • I hope you enjoyed this video, and I hope to see you all later.
