  • is sold out in Australia because people are buying it.

  • Even the curve in 19 doesn't actually give you diarrhea.

  • Let's talk about this.

  • Why Australia?

  • Why have Nikola?

  • Hi, I'm Hugh, and we're M K h.

  • Okay.

  • This has been unfolding in Australia for like, the past week.

  • Also, did we have something like that happen in Korea?

  • Not toilet paper, because hand sanitizer and mosques.

  • Moscow.

  • Is that a big problem in the booth?

  • Have congressional Yeah, Okay.

  • That makes sense, right?

  • People wearing Marceau, they don't transfer it or to protect themselves.

  • I think the best thing is they're not transferring it if they don't have arms, symptoms off current virus and, of course, hand sanitizer.

  • I mean, that makes a lot of sense, right?

  • Why Toilet paper?

  • In Australia?

  • Maybe they do a lot of pull Australians on average proof movement of the people.

  • We have been watching this happening industry because, of course, we're into culture a couple of times Australian, and you've lived in this tray.

  • We have friends in strange family in Australia, and I asked my friends and family to give us updates on this.

  • So at first it seemed to be more of like a Sydney thing, like in the cities.

  • But in my home town, this is a thing.

  • My mom miss it to me this morning saying that Dad went toe like all the different supermarkets and all the toilet paper and paper towels you wanted.

  • Just paper tell, because I've got 12 paper, but just all sold out.

  • And you see these photos off the empty empty aisles and, like the toilet paper files of the whole ill and is everything is gone way Got some at the moment, is just we're gonna run out for the next couple of weeks.

  • Hang on a minute, lady for the next couple of weeks.

  • Are you kidding me?

  • That's enough of months.

  • All these people have excuses, but they really have way too much toilet paper that might small just stock up, just in case.

  • I bought, like a packet for my girlfriend for myself.

  • I think this guy's saying that he didn't run out of toilet paper.

  • He was using his flat hates toilet paper.

  • This employee's locking about it.

  • But some employees have bean really stressed about it, and it's just crazy.

  • Absolutely crazy People are panicking.

  • It's Not that we just make sure we always got enough work to do us every fortnight.

  • Kids getting runner.

  • This woman is just blaming her kids.

  • She's like all the kids the kids need to toilet paper.

  • I don't need the toilet paper for the keys.

  • That's where this would be quick and they've gone to, like, three or four poles and, well, worst and shelves wiped clean bathroom fixtures anyway, ideas or infection.

  • So people let you into these ideas and then that grows just at the bar.

  • This guy actually seems pretty smart about it.

  • What?

  • How he's talking about it.

  • And he was the one that said he was already using his flatmates.

  • Will a papal fair enough?

  • You're okay.

  • But some of those other people looks like people just trying to find any excuse to justify it.

  • Okay, Do you remember what I said in our covert 19 video?

  • Before that?

  • You told the people to have make sure they told the family.

  • I mean, when I said Make sure your baby blues say people's brains, what I meant was, have enough toilet paper for like, two weeks, right?

  • We go to self isolate is two weeks, but people have been buying like two years worth of toilet paper.

  • I think I can still be okay without potable.

  • I mean, the days, like like if someone's going today, they're like, Yes, So I'd already heard some people on my Facebook talk about that.

  • Cafes didn't have any cause.

  • They run out of people, had bean stealing the toilet paper.

  • Because I guess there's a ll these people that have, like so many rolls of toilet paper.

  • And there's all these people that don't have any toilet paper because half the population has taken it and the other half is like, I don't know what the actual statistics on that.

  • So it was being stolen from cafes and restaurants and also stolen from kindergartens as well.

  • But I heard that 40% toilet paper they import and then 6% they make themselves in Australia.

  • So I didn't know that stat.

  • So now it's like bizarre, these crazy at the moment.

  • But sooner we'll be fine, I guess.

  • Let's have a look at what some of my family and friends talking about one of my friends that works for a charity where they need to have toilet paper for the people.

  • Therefore, the people that is staying there so their supplies running low and they actually don't know what's going to happen.

  • And also people on low or unpredictable incomes can't afford to bolt by elected by a lot, so they're really vulnerable.

  • And then this puts him even in a more vulnerable situation.

  • And all of my friends also we're talking about I actually personally don't nor anybody that boat bide like, you know, 10 packs of, you know, big packs.

  • It will the people.

  • That's why people will see who are the people.

  • What's your justification, like they're not really coming forward and saying And another of my friends said that she's very low income at the moment and she has enough toilet paper.

  • But other things, like the rice and tuna refers and veg in that some of these things are running, running out as well, and other friends that all the shop she went to had no toilet paper as well.

  • There's no tissues, all like kitchen roll, paper towel and missiles of people that you have health problems like M s, that you really need help like that.

  • People trying to get delivery.

  • But even delivery service is saying, you know it's gonna be a little while.

  • There's also this rumor.

  • So my friend said that the checkout ladies have said that as people sending, sending two people in Sydney, several, then bolt buying in the country towns and it's ending to Sydney.

  • And then my brother came and said People in Port Macquarie of blaming Sydney people for driving up and taking the toilet paper.

  • But it's actually local people buying it, holding us.

  • Everyone's blaming Sydney people way.

  • Don't actually know what the truth.

  • The truth is there.

  • My friend also said that Cole's and bullies will worsen in my home count, have security people, is that people don't buy it.

  • So I guess that putting those medicines in place now and Costco in many places, you can buy only one, not one.

  • The one peck under.

  • Yeah, people know more than they're not.

  • More than that, my mom said, was told to go in the morning to coastal Will is this is all the strange of market names of people that don't know as their deliveries come in in the morning, she said.

  • I obviously did not get up early enough as the show's all about.

  • When I got there, So the delivery came in, everything was taken right away, and by the time my mom got there, it was all going and my cousin said that now has a similar situation with toilet paper.

  • But she also has a theory that in that area, like people have had a lot of stress because bush fires and then they had floods.

  • Right?

  • So there could be a psychological issue that that's a little bit more understandable that people holding the toilet paper, they because they've already had so much stress that is suffering from post traumatic alike.

  • Why 20 papers has, like mosques, mosques and sanitizers.

  • And if some food is okay, but my bullet papers, if there is a plug, you can use it.

  • If you could slow it away on the toilet paper, you always raft.

  • No, you cause it would be you would get heavy and let me know.

  • The Comets, actually, can you make a rock that looks like from toilet paper?

  • I know you have something something to cover.

  • It is it isn't really weed being because we haven't had that situation that much in Korea, and part of that is people both by in Korea.

  • Anyway, I made a comic about this about you bulk buying the toilet paper like That's why we're not even considering it, because every Korean home has 30 roll packs anyway, and then it's no more, and that's a little bit.

  • You use a look and it's not sold out in the stores, and nothing is in Korea.

  • We used paper for not one before when you told we use it as tissues, so we use more, maybe into maybe caters more to that as well in Korea also, they have hand sanitizer everywhere publicly, and I post a photo about this on my Facebook as well.

  • And everyone was like, Yeah, that was in Australia that was in America would just be stolen right away.

  • But in Carini, you don't have that type of theft usually.

  • So this hand sanitizer and people are really not happy with the mosque problem in Korea at the moment.

  • But the price isn't really really expensive as other countries, because they're expensive.

  • One is $3 but that's too expensive is three times because, you know people don't wanna buy, but if you pay city Those who kissed by I know in other countries, like astray in America.

  • They telling people not to hold the moss because I need it for the medical profession.

  • Yes, Korea hasn't a lot more under control, so they're rationing Mass.

  • Yesterday, you couldn't send anything at the post office because all male stuff was mass going out to people.

  • And you will hear in Western media and Western medical doctors say you don't need a mosque if you're healthy.

  • Blob lower.

  • I don't do much to stop it.

  • But the reason why in Korea is you have everybody population wearing a mosque, and it stops that transmission from places that don't have symptoms.

  • I don't wear a mosque because I'm going on my own over the Corona virus and where I must.

  • I'm wearing a mosque because I could have it have no symptoms, and then I'm going out into the community with it.

  • So I'm always wearing wearing Amoss, everybody going mosque.

  • One good thing is like Korea has really bad air.

  • So find us was really bad because of the reason why the government tried to make many.

  • The mask comes a lot that you wanna be like you a lot.

  • Yeah, he asks.

  • But at the same time, so many people want the mosque.

  • That's what is you know, it's not, you know?

  • Yeah.

  • I mean, it's a much more logical situation than that, the toilet paper situation.

  • So the name that was from people protected by, like, Mommy's, like a mom, because it is such a bizarre being.

  • And my brother did say that things like the rice and pasta and lentils and that type of thing or old going as well begins.

  • I think the thing is, when you self isolate us for two weeks and you know a strange doesn't have a great delivery system the same way that Caritas I think it's okay in a straight like you could still order things online.

  • I think in a lot of places, which is two weeks of self isolation, you don't need to use with food.

  • So some papers presented earthy already had a bunch of food, every food.

  • So I did see some things where people were interviewing people at the shop saying, Why you buying this much stop like this much toilet paper?

  • And they were like, Oh, my friends did it and then I panicked and I did it as well.

  • So it's like it's like, you know, exactly, Dormitories like normal people.

  • They wanna just wanna buy no more toilet paper, want people to put paper.

  • But everybody bought it, so there is no further.

  • They freak out more and more.

  • I think this cycle, Yeah, but I think the you know, people like my family name is my parents.

  • They're just trying to buy, like, one pack, right?

  • I think a lot of people are just trying to do that at the moment.

  • So I understand that panic.

  • But the people at the beginning, in the first few days of this, that would buy 10 packs of using You're an asshole.

  • Oh, and also, I think Australia, his big country.

  • So the space waas, they have a space that they can put me as a lot of Korea.

  • You know, horror rooms to be war, which people still do it.

  • I mean, we're seeing how much clutter up.

  • Not like we don't have the space, it's wasting.

  • Also, you can talk about that.

  • There is a campaign and career at the moment.

  • We're younger, healthier people that you're not in the risk degree.

  • I'm not buying loss and making sure there's enough supply because people who need Moschella 1,000,000 elderly people thio ticket medical workers yes, yeah, so there is at that sort of campaign.

  • And I think that's another thing you know, you could get into about the difference between Western individualistic society and Korean community orientated society.

  • How selfish can people could be in the new people stealing toilet paper from kindergartens just because they want to make sure there's enough toilet paper and then talking about, like the really nastiness off this people literally fighting over the toilet paper?

  • So there's videos of this.

  • A swell of people literally fighting in the police has to be called.

  • And what we do in create the moment people who by masks from paper and they actually donate to people and they give it to someone who need.

  • And then I saw so many like post on Facebook.

  • They say I got this much, you know, this many masks, people, someone who needs just, um, you know, in a day actually sending for free.

  • When people said thes days, you can't see the humanism or something when there is some this kind of problem, they show the humanism.

  • Yeah, I think these type of situation sure is the worst in the best of people as well.

  • So there's an article on CNN that is about the psychology of, like, why people are buying toilet paper of all things and so that you look about five reason Sita and the 1st 1 is that people resort to extremes when they heat completing messages.

  • So the whole thing, the Corona virus is very new, and people hearing different messages about it.

  • So you're hearing things like, Oh, it's just small, Don't worry.

  • But then you also hear people be like People are dying from this, you know, so many things gonna be affected.

  • That's something that governments could do better off, like giving Maur guidelines people because there are so many fake news.

  • Yeah, reason to.

  • Some people are reacting to the lack of clear directions from officials like we were saying, so they hear that country's already have, like mass quarantines and that people are buying up toilet paper and other stuff like preparing for the same thing.

  • Sorry, this article sign, unless people have seen official promises that they will be taken care off.

  • But they left to the probability all we're gonna need toilet paper.

  • We'll be trapped inside.

  • We're gonna be quarantined like that.

  • Still, that's not really a good enough reason to buy that much toilet paper.

  • I mean, like you can you cue justice above without totally apparatus.

  • I think that the saddest thing is people who have i B s that need a lot of toilet paper.

  • People have medical issues and the people who the other people who need.

  • Yeah, people living like below the poverty line that can't vote by.

  • They have to buy a week to week.

  • You know, the small packs like that because that's the only way they could manage the small amount of money that's coming in.

  • I saw, like a really sad photo of a old guy, a pensioner trying to find toilet paper, and then someone actually gave them the one that they had in the car.

  • You know, when people are bulk buying like that, they're not thinking about the community.

  • And they're not thinking about this decision, your things thinking, but absolutely themselves.

  • Yeah, And then reason three.

  • Is that people panic buying causes more panic buying.

  • So if people are seeing the photos in the videos off there being no toilet paper at all, so then they're freaking out like I need to get toilet paper.

  • There's not gonna be any more toilet paper reason for It's natural to want to over prepare.

  • So because of this as a sort of survival of psychology that we're gonna leave it home as much as possible.

  • So people stocking up on essentials and they're really panicking if they don't have toilets, you like You're saying you can survive without toilet paper, but for a lot of people, they think they can't survive without toilet paper and reason.

  • Five.

  • It allows some sense of control.

  • I I guess that's the sort of anxiety thing.

  • Any And if a lot of Australians are suffering from some post traumatic stress to do with floods and bushfires, and I could understand that as well that they already have anxiety and the only thing they can do is Cohen pilots a lot of toilet paper.

  • So I think maybe in some situations we could have a little bit of compassion, but also I think there's a lot of offcials as well, you know, and a lot of charities are really struggling as well, and I hope that this situation this situation gets better.

  • If you have some questions as well, about what it's like to be in Korea at the moment, people have been asking whether, you know, in a few months they've Scott trips come for coming to Korea.

  • I feel like it might be okay to come, but the problem might be as it gets worse in other countries, you might be having to self isolate once you get to Korea.

  • And then there's no point of having like a last time in Korea, right?

  • I don't know.

  • We've had Thio here.

  • Think about canceling a trip to Australia because the travel restrictions and then just also the whole self isolating for two weeks as well.

  • There's no point going somewhere else when you go to self isolate like that and we're so nothing.

  • A appreciate so many people say you can't make money from this video, but it's okay.

  • You will become a matter.

  • Please don't come in with that because like we know and that's not a priority for us and you know, maybe this of the YouTube Is that really prioritized making?

  • They want to make money off this.

  • Like we know you can't make money from this, but it's okay.

  • So what are you Please don't worry.

  • And then you can you be water about these things.

  • You can watch the other video, other monetize video.

  • You could d'oh way want to share?

  • You know, um, our experience and filling with you and also just the ridiculousness off the toilet paper epidemic, That toilet paper pandemonium.

  • I don't know it was yours.

  • Your toilet paper.

  • OK, please describe just if you haven't already, and you can check out comic on the blood that are as new one every week.

  • And we have social media, social media on instagram.

  • I'm updating on the stories all the time about this and Twitter.

  • I'm retweeting a lot stuff from journalists as well as a fully them.

  • You will probably see Maur stuff about what's actually happening in Korea with this as well.

  • And because of this kind of situation, we want to make more YouTube videos.

  • So you you wanna see something else?

  • What we want to do is let us know.

  • Yeah, The problem is, we can't go outside and film anything.

  • This everything we want to do that we can't do it.

  • Okay, We'll see you later.

  • Bye.

  • Five sisters.

  • Brothers.

  • Was that a James Charles River?

  • Well, James Charles Like bison stuff?

  • Yes.

  • What were you doing?

  • Watching James Charles was on you, too.
