  • Hello, everyone, and welcome to a world culture.

  • I'm just joined today by Zoe Misskelley, because the final trailer for models black Widow has dropped in time for its mayor.

  • First released it on did, in my opinion, is the best one so far and reveals a lot more about the plot than I first expected.

  • Zoe, before we jump into details what your thoughts on simultaneously very excited, unconcerned that this trailer has allowed just like the weirdest conspiracy theories to come out not just on the Internet, but between us.

  • Or we have some absolute mad theories about what the hell black widow is going to be.

  • Because this drop the major piece of information that taskmaster the the movie's villain is running the Red Room, which is where now, as black widow was essentially Bond.

  • That was the program, the Soviet program that essentially turned it into the monster that she thought she was and has affected so many other senses like a and turn them into these sort of unfeeling, cold blooded killing machines that Israel bad stuff, good stuff, good stuff, and I don't know whether he's always been running the Red Room.

  • Wonder whether that's the implication, always taken over it.

  • And this is more of a personal mission from that and kind of, you know, surrogate family made up of like red guardian in ritual vices character whose name I've already for gotten in Florence Pugh to take them down.

  • So that's essentially that's the biggest little bit of detail, Essentially, who taskmaster is.

  • I'm also more than just, you know, this combat aficionado on dhe.

  • Why, you know this story needs to be told Why not?

  • Is black Widow is really involved.

  • So you know more about the comics than me.

  • How does this fit in with those?

  • Well, it's much more interesting because for a time I held a pet theory that it would be before Civil War.

  • But this very clearly says that it must.

  • It must be after because not only does he do the sweet Black Panther Cole, he doesn't despise him on flip.

  • Hey, watches, we think Iron Man two.

  • Yeah, just hanging out.

  • There's a boat where you just sort of sits back, and he looks at the projected wall of Iron Man, to which everyone's got charts sometime.

  • And I like that taskmaster.

  • Just kind of has the entire M see you on DVD somewhere because he can't afford blew right?

  • He's just a shell for the full thing.

  • He's gonna watch the one DVD and copy everyone's moves because that's that's the cool thing.

  • I don't know most much about the villain from the comics, but I love the gimmick off this villain, copying all of the heroes moves and essentially been able to predict every single thing they do.

  • So like he said in this trailer, we see him watching and that in a man to copy her movies, we see him doing the Hawkeye signature Hawkeye bore thing.

  • We've got a Black Panther which closes into it, definitely being after Civil War.

  • I think that was already confirmed.

  • But this is now proof because the timelines time like, all over the place way.

  • No, it's being officially stating that it is post civil war and all the details add to that.

  • But just believe isn't really going to be.

  • Is there gonna be some kind of band switches?

  • Is there gonna be something set after, perhaps and gave?

  • You know, obviously, you know, spoilers not dying there is quite difficult to bring her back, But I feel like there's going to be some kind of s the sleeves, some out.

  • My my thing is is that this is the exact point in which the emcee you decides if they want to go sort of franchise that has rules, say, like when a character dies, generally the not brought back unless there tomorrow or whether they want to go full comic book wildness and be like Now I know you thought she was dead, but here she'd be because obviously an important part of the comics, as many people will know who were dogs like me is that not dies in comics.

  • But she comes back because she's been cloned by the Red Room.

  • And this is my personal wild ferry, which I'm mixed on it because I think it would be incredibly great if they took inspiration from the comics.

  • Brought her back in that way.

  • Should even be taskmaster if you get really, really weird with it.

  • But also it does worry me in the sense of I do think I am to you who's currently doing really well with making death permanent.

  • I think if you get rid of that you like?

  • Well, who is dead?

  • Who isn't now?

  • Well, the way I do when I get really, really weed with it.

  • I do want to talk about the potential of, you know, not being the actual test.

  • Must've.

  • We don't know who's been cast as the character we've only ever seen them with, You know, the masculine and that he's referred to as him in the actual trail of this time.

  • But that doesn't really, you know, rule out the idea that someone else could be under the mask.

  • After all, it's all about, you know, deception, especially the kind of fields this is based on.

  • You go back to your point for a second.

  • I do agree that I don't want that to come back just because for the longest time when it came to the emcee you movies, I was always one of those detractors who was always frustrated about the lack of consequences.

  • And I want I don't stop that.

  • I want death.

  • I just want things no matter what those deaths, to stay at least semi permanent for a little bit.

  • We've already had little rumors that you know, 20 stocks human was going to be in this movie.

  • Obviously, it's set before the offensive end game, so that would make sense.

  • But I don't want anything to really dilute the impact off endgame and the characters that we missed, the people we lost in that because for me, you know, watching Black wouldn't die was a surprisingly very emotional moment.

  • I think it was really well done.

  • And yes, it is very in keeping with the comments comics to bring her back by a cloning or whatever.

  • And I don't think I would be averse to that further down the line.

  • But coming a year after endgame is a little bit to cheapen it.

  • But will is, that is, that likely was not just some kind of crazy for you.

  • There you go.

  • What's Firstly, it's a crazy theory, and I will.

  • I will openly admit it's a crazy theory, but it's a crazy theory based on the comics, which means it's not incredibly.

  • While my other theory is, the one interesting thing about taskmaster is because he could memorize things so quickly in the comics, he would often forget other things interest.

  • So he forgot he was working for several times, having well forgot His loved ones have a well, He's very focused on work.

  • Basically, it's Tony Masters.

  • I think it very interesting they could make it.

  • I know everyone said all the right guarding to be two of us.

  • I think it very, very clever if they played it as though it, you know, couldn't possibly be the Red Guardian and then either clone shenanigans or it turns out everyone who was in the red Room was briefly taskmaster.

  • And that is an alias.

  • Because if we want to say taskmaster has been the boss the whole time, that means it wouldn't have to be one single entity.

  • It's cool.

  • I like that someone just salt takes over the task.

  • It could be because they could all forget.

  • That's the ultimate promotion you need.

  • Yes, I like the idea because yeah, like you said, we don't know who is.

  • Actually you know what character, indeed, the mask.

  • But everyone is kind of assuming that it's going to be someone in black widows family, whether it's going to be Florence people.

  • Rachel Vice all David Hobbs, right, guardian, like you said.

  • And for me, I think any of them could have a great villain, 10 in them.

  • All of all of this trailer really focuses on their bonds as a family.

  • So does make sense in classic superhero storytelling devices to smash that into oblivion by the end of it and said no true family was the Avengers along because he ventured the whole time.

  • The truth.

  • Finally, with the Avengers you met along the way, and I think that could be cool.

  • But I don't think that's what everyone's kind of predicting so far as mad as it would be for not to, you know, take off the taskmaster mask and see herself.

  • I kind of dig it because it's kind of mad.

  • It kind of doesn't make any sense.

  • No one likes Mabel.

  • Nobody would expect that except everyone watching this and even you probably don't even believe.

  • I don't believe a thing.

  • You know.

  • The thing is the thing that gets more convincing.

  • The more we talked about it, the more I say it out loud.

  • Dwell on it is because the superhero fiction in general is so obsessed in a good way with having the heroes battle, you know, alternate versions of themselves, you know, they're the other half of the coin as it were, and we're kind of seeing that here that, you know, in a lot of the footage from the trailer so far.

  • Nice fighting, other black widow.

  • Essentially, she's got two black widows headed in a team, so she's already kind of doing that.

  • But why not just take that one step further and happen, literally fighting herself like in Logan?

  • Just a cosmic about is that I'm doing well.

  • That would break anything.

  • Please let me know the moment.

  • That would be too far, but I don't know.

  • But it's a weird one because I think they could still do that.

  • They could have a total twist where say, it's someone you think it's either later and she could be the next black widow or it's not everything's wild or, you know it's someone you expect.

  • I almost then this is very dark.

  • I always want them to die.

  • You have this moment, you see all this is the next black widow.

  • I see what they're going to do here, and it's like, No, the thing you thought is incorrect.

  • The much more logical step is the letter is the next black widow we continue with that line, and I think it's very interesting because one thing the comics can be incredibly difficult.

  • Getting right is successes.

  • Yes, I think you see the emcee you do.

  • That would be incredible and cool, but also the concept of wild, cloned shenanigans.

  • It's always too tempting.

  • This is what got me in Star Wars.

  • I think it would make sense with this.

  • Story is well, because, obviously, it's kind of its soul spy thriller base.

  • And if you throw a little sprinkling off stupid hero fantasy on top, you get some of these these wacky clones and these kind of, you know, rock pools and last minute twists and this movie, at least from the trailer.

  • So far in the other two trailers, it's been a thing that style, the way it shot, the way it's skulled where the action looks.

  • It's doing that kind of, you know, almost like paranoia Resc, thriller fiction and have something as mad as that as an undercurrent would make so much sense.

  • And I'm kind of here for you mentioned that Aggie Alana is in the comics not around anymore issue both Natasha annual enter in the comics die in a clothes.

  • Okay.

  • Also, crucially, uh, Elena does briefly become the think she's literally called the Iron Maiden.

  • She turns into a villain for a while.

  • It would also make sense if they wanted Thio combine those story lines.

  • They could literally lift wholesale from the comics and have the Iron Maiden storyline.

  • Makes her taskmaster thing.

  • Obviously, Yeah, there are a lot of issues with it there, a lot of issues with whoever it could be.

  • I just hope it's not some random.

  • It's actually Tony Masters.

  • I'm gonna be vaguely annoyed, I think.

  • Yeah, I can see that happening even though it would be, you know, obviously more in line with the comics.

  • I like the little comment, that little comment that was very, very pasteurizing, that I like your very great and very well put comment about success.

  • Is that because that's what we're seeing with the Winter Soldier of Falcon Show that's coming up the idea of passing on the legacy of these these heroes and obviously there's a there's a major black widow, Schiphol in the M.

  • See you at the moment.

  • I mean, just to see what they do with that because There are two ways this movie complaint I think there is.

  • There was one where it's exactly what it looks like on the tin.

  • There is this kind of into cool thing that's filling in a gap there a lot people think might not have needed filling.

  • Or there is a way to make it more substantial.

  • And essentially, in my opinion, like the Rogue one of the M C U universe, something that we thought was a side story might not necessarily being necessary but expands the world in an interesting way and makes him more connected and makes the future more exciting.

  • Hopefully, that's my ticket anywhere so you can fire any final.

  • My Final Four, I think today three crooks.

  • The thing is, I think it would be very interesting to try and see how wild that could get, because I do think in summer God's BMC you've played very safe.

  • One thing we've seen from films like The Joker films like but to pray is that taking a risk can have both.

  • A critical review reward had a monetary reward.

  • On a practical level.

  • Yes, I think it could be very interesting.

  • Also, you know she's dead.

  • So if you want to get wild, there's no we're gonna end it all.

  • You guys think doubt in the commons below.

  • What do you think about this final trailer?

  • Are you convinced on a black widow movie?

  • And are you looking forward to it?

  • Hopefully it doesn't get no time to died and pushed back until November.

  • Hope it's it's released.

  • Every yes either.

  • Well, you don't like to give us a lecture.

  • Subscribe head overto welcome.
