Ashton, you've been following all of this very closely.

First, I know you've also been speaking with officials at the National Institutes of Health, and I understand you're learning more about the numbers being reported here.

And it's really important when we hear these numbers.

We have to pay attention to the numbers in China and then distinguish that from the numbers here in the U.

The concern about the numbers in China is that not all people who may be infected or even sick with this novel Corona virus may be able to be tested. 00:02:59.590 --> 00:03:1.220  So we hear that number go up. 00:03:1.220 --> 00:03:3.350  30,000, 32,000. 00:03:3.440 --> 00:03:13.900  Remember there there are 11 million people in Wuhan, and obviously the Chinese do not have the ability right now to test everyone in that area.

So we have to interpret those numbers with caution because they may or may not be accurate.

And aside from the uncertainty about the numbers, what are the other challenging aspects of this global health emergency and specifically the ability of countries to work together on this.

The biggest thing right now it is that the CDC has not been allowed inside China and on the ground to evaluate the data and assess the clinical response.

We're hoping that will happen any day now.

But again, in terms of the response, especially here, the ability to identify and then isolate with quarantine and travel restrictions while it may not be convenient is key to containing this outbreak.
