  • On the market.

  • Ford Bronco was Ford's first competitors to the Jeep CJ five.

  • I believe it is a dedicated sport utility vehicle or SUV, and this was way back in 1965 when there wasn't really any other competition.

  • Besides that.

  • So the Ford Bronco is a body on frame.

  • Four by four S, u V men for having, and they made it up until 1996.

  • It was Ford's last full size, two door SUV. 00:00:50.800 --> 00:01:2.100 There was an Explorer with two doors in the late nineties, and I think they made it until about 2002 and there were other two door SUV like vehicles that they made. 00:01:2.110 --> 00:01:9.190 But this was the last full size SUV, two doors, all Ford Broncos had. 00:01:9.280 --> 00:01:14.840 We'll drive and we're equipped basically to go off road from the factory.

  • 1990.

  • Toronto was the last Bronco generation with a removable top later generation that would be 1992 till 1996.

  • Top was attached to the frame of the vehicle with semi permanent screws in an effort to make the vehicle more crash worthy.

  • So this was the last model that you could actually take this top off fairly easily.

  • It's about as easy as a Jeep hardtop to remove, which is to say, it's gonna take you probably 15 minutes and you will need two people to help lift this off, because this is not very likely. 00:01:54.330 --> 00:02:2.750 That said, once it is off, this was designed so that you could have passengers ride with that open top experience. 00:02:6.040 --> 00:02:9.110 The door weighs about £120. 00:02:9.120 --> 00:02:12.610 It's extremely heavy as a power window assembly in it.

  • Really, really.

  • But let me climb in here so you could also hold this rear seat down and pulled it forward for increased cargo capacity.

  • Granted, it's only a couple more feet, but you could then do some hauling.

  • And if you wanted to curl up fetal style, you could sleep.

  • This rear seat will notice.

  • Has these seatbelt reels or retention rials right here?

  • And that's because it is Top comes off. 00:02:53.530 --> 00:03:1.500 There wouldn't be any way to attach a seat belt, but you could take this top off and have passengers riding around the back for a really cool, open air experience. 00:03:1.510 --> 00:03:11.920 Just like a Ford, Toronto is basically an F 1 50 taxi from 1980 until 1996.

  • It shared the full size 100 then became 1 50 chassis.

  • So it is full size only difference.

  • Being course comes standard with Well, Dr.

  • In this case, it has solid front axle's, the real solid front and rear axle.

  • More articulation.

  • This is the XL version, so it has Elektronik locking front.

  • Well, Dr the Interior is just like a standard that 1 50 You've got some badging that says It's a Bronco and of course, you don't have a bench seat in the front.

  • Although it was an option.

  • Some of the models this one has a center console bucket seats to make it feel a little more unique, more like an SUV. 00:04:3.240 --> 00:04:19.050 This X lt version has Elektronik four wheel drive there push buttons right here but the base model, where the custom would have had a A CZ, they say four on the floor lever right here to manually engage the four wheel drive system.

  • But this has Elektronik four wheel drive and low range engagement through a push button.

  • You got your rear window control right here.

  • Cruise control.

  • No airbag.

  • So good luck in a crash, and then your car window controls air down here on the left hand side, everything is actually fairly self explain.

  • It's very easy to use, but not necessarily logically laid out.

  • This'll Bronco has the five leader he ate similar to the Mustang GT and four Thunderbird of the same time period. 00:04:57.840 --> 00:05:8.000 This motor, when it was first, I should say, ambush by federal commissions regulations made as little as 140 horsepower. 00:05:9.480 --> 00:05:39.260 This version through some developments that board created later on to overcome those emissions restrictions, makes 180 horsepower and 270 foot pounds of torque so very different than the Mustangs tuning and generally not similar enough to entertain driving.

  • The 19 feels like driving a really old truck that, as solid front rear axles said it accelerates with adequate power and ships fairly smoothly. 00:05:55.440 --> 00:06:1.600 The steering has very little feel and has a lot of slop, probably again because of the age. 00:06:2.140 --> 00:06:11.250 The lack of suspension maintenance in 30 years, driving down the road because of the suspension design.

  • There are a lot of strange feelings, and most of them are spooky and that there's a lot happening underneath your feet.

  • But it's not being translated very well through the steering, so the truck itself feels a little bit unsettled.

  • In general.

  • The motor itself does feel fairly Tourky, though, although it doesn't really come on tow about 3000 rpm. 00:06:43.670 --> 00:07:1.180 The actual steering response once there is what seems like some engagement after the initial play, it actually turns pretty quickly, and I'm attributing that to the shorter wheelbase and fairly stiff suspension from the factory. 00:07:2.460 --> 00:07:9.900 Overall pleasant driving experience considering the age of this vehicle and the design.

  • Very nice truck.

  • So this is 1994 Bronco Ford Bronco in this body style is slowly creeping up in value, so if you do have one that's in good shape, I would be reticent to just sell it to anybody.

  • One reason that folks really like the Ford Bronco is that there are thousands of upgrade parts, everything from Donna axles to lift kits, lights, bodywork, interior pieces, everything.

On the market.
