That's the message going on two parents in Rockland County in New York suburb, where state of emergency is now in effect as of first thing this morning over a major measles outbreak.

Now the county is taking aggressive steps to contain the outbreak by banning unvaccinated kids from public places like schools, stores and restaurants.

Anyone who was under 18 years of age and is unvaccinated against amazes we bought from public places until the declaration expires in 30 days, or and so they receive at least their first shot of MMR.

Theo Break in Rockland began when a traveler visited Israel and returned to a predominantly Orthodox Jewish neighborhood where some have religious objections to the vaccine.

County officials say they're taking action to protect the health of those who can not be vaccinated for medical reasons and that of Children too young to be vaccinated, adding, We will not sit idly by while Children in our community are at risk.

This is a public health crisis, and it is time to sound the alarm.

As for that ban on those under 18 from public places in Rocklin, how will it be enforced?

Well, no police officers will be a patrolling asking for vaccination records.

But if the during an investigation into how someone got measles, it turns out that someone was unvaccinated in a public place, well, there could be a flying of up to $500 and up to six months in jail.
