  • Hello there, people Use you and welcome to the Spike Head podcast for it Never moved for a view while we talking about military Wise.

  • Directed by Peter Cattano and star in Kherson, Scott Thomas, Sharon Horgan and Jason Flemyng I was looking up to see this ice in the World Unlimited screening last Tuesday.

  • I believe it Waas on is about time that I brought in my revue up This I didn't come out for a couple of weeks, so I want to give you my first force off the film.

  • But before I do get into the review, did you like what I do on this channel?

  • Please feel free to drop like in the video and consider hit in that describe.

  • It would really help a lot.

  • And without further ado, let's get right into the review.

  • So this film is based off the first ever military choir set up by K and Lisa, who are too poor opposite characters as a way to help the wives cope with the fact that their husbands and wives are out fighting in Afghanistan.

  • This happened around 10 9020 11.

  • Something around that time I do remember vividly views obvious weren't breaking out on their single break in the UK Top 100 a figure made number one I can't quite remember.

  • But I do remember growing up in that time period, way of gas.

  • There was a big thing.

  • So it was really I see this little wholesome little story being brought to life.

  • Kay and Lisa, by far other things that hold this film together much like a choir.

  • You have Lisa, who was one of the girls whose lives hang out with them and get snow on the personal level.

  • Yeah, Kate was more of your uptight upper class woman whose husband is the corporal or general water, too, and she liked to do things by the book and be quiet, perfectionist On this, the choir starts purely because they're trying their brainstorm, some ideas on what they can do to pass the time until the husband's return.

  • Someone's just singing.

  • They start making the quiet.

  • Someone just happens to have some really good pipes on them.

  • On Boom, we have a choir.

  • There is yet another real story we go to play.

  • The Royal Albert Hall on the film is all about lead up to that big performance that became a game changer that did lead to well over 100 women's choir has now been set up for the military.

  • As I've already said, can lease have a great dynamic?

  • They're constantly Ossa me, Trevor.

  • They also respected.

  • Sure, there's a lot of passive aggressive infers that comes with Kate towards Leah a lot of the time, and they're both going for their own struggles.

  • Lisa has a husband.

  • The way has to look after her Teenies daughter, who's going on a bit of a wild child path, whereas Kate, her husband's away on her surname, foresee tragically, did die in Afghanistan.

  • So how long her art is dealing with that loss?

  • It's very difficult to describe into words.

  • It's a very wholesome thing.

  • To watch is a highly enjoyable experience.

  • The Syrian scenes are really good to see them going from this ragtag bunch of girls that the first thing about quite performances to just being the absolute aims at Royal Albert Hall.

  • It's such good transition, tow watch, and I enjoyed every second off it.

  • There are contacts, of course, and there are some things that happened that caused something to be called into question, but overall, it's a nice little journey from start to finish.

  • The cinematography in this is done quite well on the characterizations off these girls.

  • While you're not remember every single name of every single member, the all of the unique niches, I think my personal favorite is the one.

  • It's a massive Kewpie are fat, and she's always talking about the football.

  • She's the kind that first, that you just want to go to have a pint with.

  • And there's that one.

  • Cars.

  • This really enjoys knitting, and there's just the shy one.

  • It just so happens to be the one of the strongest pipes, as is expected with a lot of the source of film is very school Iraq, where the quiet one happens to be the best thing in the entire lot, and you have the loud, rambunctious one that's this full of enthusiasm but isn't actually that great of a singer.

  • But the effort is there.

  • Would you enjoy it?

  • There are a lot of extra scenes in this couple of key powerful ones that won't go into customers not out yet.

  • I don't know, spoil everything but boys were the cast do act really well in this.

  • There was no real estate, a performance that I had to pick.

  • I would say it's Kirstin Scott Thomas, just cause I feel like a as the more emotional arc to go through in the film.

  • But overall, what I can really say about film, it's just something for everybody.

  • It's a whole similar story.

  • It's based on true events, but it's not like a big political driver or a war film like a lot of true films are these days.

  • It's perfect for family is maybe not for little kids belie four kids our age nine and above.

  • Take them to send it, wash it.

  • You have a good time with it.

  • Take your date and Surma tow.

  • Watch this hacky be.

  • If you just enjoy host of films of German, we just go watch it.

  • Go watch it With Friends is a nice little capsule of a film.

  • It's nothing groundbreaking.

  • It's not bad film, either.

  • Every cast member does a good job is a great love story, and it has a very optimistic message.

  • So my overall force there's a solid performances.

  • Cinematography is good.

  • The sound mixing is really good on DDE.

  • It's just a heartwarming tale.

  • It's wholesome.

  • It's heartwarming on where it just come out.

  • I feel like people should go watch this film purely because I can't see anyone.

  • Not at least like in this film.

  • It's where those nice, heartwarming tales that we don't get a whole lot of it.

  • Some of these days, I thought people will enjoy it for me personally.

  • My overall rating of this is that military wives is on Okay, committee.

  • Oh, so military wives have your scene.

  • And what is your favorite hopes and movie dies based on real events.
