  • I didn't think he was very good.

  • Last six Shots on goal, all geared towards one target.

  • Success from this point forward.

  • Come on.

  • The decisions have been rendered.

  • What are these few days probably mean leading up to this.

  • What they really mean for me that I get to see my family and friends.

  • What?

  • I mean for me and the team that way are here to grab two points.

  • I just wanna make sure we begin and, uh, you know, show check.

  • Find someone people before being a tour guide for these guys.

  • I'm not touring anyone.

  • Anybody they can find a way, you still have to make roster decisions.

  • What's the status?

  • Chuck and I are in the process of doing that right now.

  • So we're gonna get together here as soon as I'm done with you, and we're gonna make the decisions that need to make your moving forward.

  • Well, now we, uh we're at that stage.

  • We have toe get down from a roster perspective, toe play Chicago, but also a cap perspective.

  • Very B.

  • I love the kids skill.

  • I love this park battles, but I think it's confidence right now, as far as being able to finish might be a little bit low, so it's probably good for him to go down.

  • He's a good player here sooner rather than later, I think.

  • But to see him go down and play isn't bad thing, either.

  • First, long term development.

  • So it Stewie, um, it's difficult.

  • Oh, add another contract right now.

  • And speaking with his agent was Steely.

  • I think they're fine with continuing on the pro tryout path here.

  • And does that make sense?

  • Keep him.

  • I mean, we used a CZ long as no, he's OK with staying around.

  • Things might change for Stewie.

  • We might decide that that type of player we needed a You know, I line up on a more regular basis, so we'll see how it pans out right now.

  • We have Torrance key on our opening night roster torn skater in the right to play that first game.

  • At least it's kind of the way you like things to go.

  • You have kids progress, your system and kind of earned that right.

  • A strong training camp has earned 21 year old right winger Carson Torrance Key a roster spot.

  • A lifelong dream realised for the Flyers 2016 3rd round pick.

  • It's sweet to pay off like the nut, but now the real work begins is well, it's just her door open, and I got to stay up.

  • E.

  • I know all my family incest.

  • It'd be watching their.

  • I know they have some friends in Calgary and some family there, so I'm not quite sure what they're gonna do yet.

  • But, uh, I guess I'll find out it's exciting, but also just found out that Joel got sent down, so it's always a little tough tube.

  • Yeah.

  • I thought I'd give myself the best chance I could have to make the team, but I think they just don't think that 19 year old kids ready to play definitely stock stuff.

  • A tough Phyllis Wall.

  • Onda?

  • Um, yeah.

  • I just remember this feeling.

  • And, you know, hopefully next year, when this camp rolls around, I'll be ready to go.

  • You look really loose today on that.

  • If you go down there and you work hard, you'll be back up here.

  • Oh, quick.

  • Like you look so relaxed today.

  • I don't know if your mind was clear, whatever, but you made some good shots to put the puck in the back of the net.

  • So don't get down here and go down there.

  • Right?

  • Attitude, right.

  • Mindset working.

  • I'm gonna see you back up here real soon.

  • Okay?

  • So when the flyers return from Europe, 19 year old Joel Farabee will be sent to the American Hockey League to join the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

  • As for 31 year old Chris Stewart, he'll stay in limbo.

  • Is tryout with the Flyers, technically still continuing his hope, still alive of eventually securing a roster spot this season and returning to the NHL?

  • You know, there's a lot of things are going on there out of my control right now, so I'm kind of just focusing on one day at a time and I say I'm not playing tonight, so there's gonna be a little bit of disappointment, But, you know, I'm still here and I'm gonna do it everything.

  • If you need me to cheer on the boys tonight, uh, to get the victory, you know what?

  • I'm gonna do my part.

  • Everyone here in Prague would play a role on opening night against the Blackhawks, but maybe no one will be under more pressure than Carter.

  • Heart.

  • 21 year old gave up four goals and was pulled from the net in the preseason finale in Switzerland.

  • Everybody has those.

  • It happens sometimes a game of hockey isn't gonna go your way, but it's nothing that I'm worried about.

  • feel my overall preseason has been has been strong.

  • I feel confident with more mind games at and all the guys we're looking forward to get.

  • Things started playing a game that's worth two points.

  • So I mean, we're gonna do everything we can to prepare the right way.

  • We're all looking forward again.

  • Things going yesterday morning got up at about 5 a.m. Caligari hopped on a plane when Toronto transferred over to a plane in Prague.

  • Yeah.

  • No, Very proud.

  • It's a good way.

  • Probably.

  • Breakfast is startled about half hours.

  • Okay, We're just in time.

  • I tracked him down here and see if I get scared.

  • That Yeah, that's Hey, Carson.

  • Yeah, it's Ah, it's Chuck Fletcher calling.

  • If you're free.

  • I just want to chat with you for a couple minutes here.

  • Okay, great.

  • Just just down the lobby.

  • Yeah, thanks.

  • How long it will take him to come downstairs?

  • Jam calls.

  • He should be down.

  • Like looking split.

  • Like don't take too long.

  • Really good, impressionable.

  • There's no pressure.

  • Just go out there and you have fun and you work hard.

  • And just like you've been doing right.

  • And what do you do on your very first shift on the ice for your coach told you.
