They can start taking the old floor up, which is this orangey toned would through there and they're going to lay the same floor that we have downstairs.

I don't know how much of that I'm gonna be able to show you, because, you know, the guys might not want to be filmed, but I am very, very excited to finally be happening.
It's gonna get a bright in this space up so much is definitely gonna look better with the doors because the doors downstairs look so much nicer with floor down there.
But I've just trained with my PT on Dhe is actually really good sessions.
I'm feeling good.
My husband has cooked me breakfast, some scrambled eggs on toast.
So I'm gonna have some fuel for the day, and then we're gonna get cracking.
Moving out the dining room as much as we can I don't.

So starting off with cupboard under the stairs and then dining room, the floor is all coming up around here.

I am just quickly updating you on the hallway situation because the guys from Re Give Yankee finished yesterday, and I thought that this was the perfect opportunity to show you the not finished away.
But where we are at the next stage is painting and just finishing, getting lights up, electricity and moving all that all of the little bits.
But I wanted to show you how it's turned out.
Now it's a very in terms of the flooring.
It's definitely a subtle change tomb or kind of cool down the colors of the floor instead of having such like orangy toned word.
So for us, it's made a huge difference.
But now we know exactly what we want to do with staircase.

We're really, really happy with it.
So let's take a look inside on dhe.
Show you what it looks like, Cy.
It's quite a miserable day today, so you might not be able to say to see the full color of the floor actually looks a little bit warmer because we've got all of the lights on because it's actually miserable outside.
I'm gonna take my slippers off as well.
I say my slippers, They are definitely Ali slippers.
But if I can and I can get some shots on another day, I will show you how everything looks in better light so that you can see.
But I think he kind of get a feel for the difference in tone of the wood.
Now that would absolutely, perfectly matches the oak off the staircase.
We went for country oak from Con Dean, and we did see a couple of questions from people being like, Why you putting the the line?
Oh, word down on Dhe.
That's what we had before we had car Dean before.
I think a lot of people thought it was really wood floor.
Which is exactly why we've gone for this floor just to kind of interrupt this and Hans Mint.
But yeah, a lot of people thought that old floor was riel would on dhe.
It wasn't.
And that's the whole point of Con Dean Now.
We had a lot off floor to cover.
So if you think about that, this is just This little run here is just kind of half of the whole way up here, and then it goes into the downstairs toilet also goes into the dining room.
It goes into the utility room, goes into cupboards, so we had a lot of floor space to cover on.
It was expensive on.
We couldn't have put down real word even if we wanted to, because we just couldn't have afforded it.
But we also wanted the floor downstairs and brought up here too much on.
That's what we've achieved because I actually really, really like this for I like the color, the color of their I like the tone on I love it.
It's no gray word because I find it quite cold.
If something is to gray, it's got the warmth running through it, but then also has cooler tones as well.
So I feel like it balances and looks really natural as well, Which is precisely why people thought that our old floor was real word when hit wasn't it was just a different color floor to this one, but I think that this has.
It made it easy for us to decide on what to do with the staircase, and we are absolutely going to be painting the treads off the staircase on dhe.
The new posts on the handrails, the same color in ebony is the doors.
I get lots of people asking about the colors of these doors on.
I know that they look black, but it's actually ebony, so it's like a really dark, dark brown.
So when the light hits it, it's really quite lovely.
Obviously, on a miserable day today it's not should probably show you this this side as well, because it's looking really nice over here as well.
Obviously, the carpet runners aren't down yet because they need to be painted on.
The electricity hasn't been done.
This is all going to be done in the next few weeks, which is exciting stuff.
Obviously, down there still isn't finished, unfortunately, and he still has to finish that half of the staircase.
But I wanted to bring you up to speed in terms of furnishing.
These lanterns are going to be moving elsewhere on.
I'm going to have a really beautiful either oak or black wine table here with a lamp on it and some picture frames and stuff like that just to kind of illuminate this area underneath the stairs.

The mirror here that's gonna be going in our bathroom on.

I think it would tie everything together with the iron lights with the black or ebony wood.

But the main thing is that I'm just really looking forward to getting the new lights on DDE in the new kind of bits for this hallway.

So I just wanted to mention the obviously we have been working with Ricky Banky on the flooring in our house.
This video is not part of that partnership.
I chose to do this because I document the renovations and the remodeling in my house, and I love doing it on dhe.
They have been so lovely to work with so easy.
And it's just been an absolute breeze, like, seriously, if you ever go into the flooring section in Ricky Bianchi.
Please say hi to level for me because he is such a legend on Dhe.
All of the guys that would have worked on this hallway have been so great.
Such nice guys, Andi, you could just see that.
It's just a lovely place for them to work.
So they're happy when they're here.
Is well, so we had a great time with them in such great lads on.
They have done an absolutely insane job.
It has made us realize how, in the beginning we really, really didn't have, like, great people working on this house.
And I would definitely say that mine and alleys, floors upstairs in our dressing rooms are nowhere near done to the standard that it has been done out in this hallway just in how much they ruined my skirting boards when they put my floor in.
Oh, my goodness, it was a mess on Ali's floor doesn't have MDF under it, so it's really, like, noisy on.
It's just not great feeling how incredible this for it literally feels like word when I walk on it with my heels, which I know a recent deep, but, you know, it just sounds like wood flooring.
And I love it.
I literally could not be happier on, I think, in this room, even though the bathroom isn't it, I feel like this flooring looks so much better in here than the orangey would.
So it's still nice and warm, but with cool tones running through it.
And I love it.
But yeah, there's just no toilet in here at the moment, so it's just ticking off this.
So in the next home vlog, I should be showing you this area, at least decorated and finished fingers crossed.
Everything goes to plan, might not have all of the furniture in, but at least we'll be well on our way to finishing.

I know a lot of people had some ideas to go up here in our little area of unused nous in on the landing lots, people saying I'll make it into a little kind of library area and put some seating and some bookshelves, but you've got to remember I've got bookshelves in my office and I've got a really lovely little reading corner down there.
So it would be a bit redundant up here.
So rather than try and make a small space into something that it just isn't ever gonna be, we're just gonna keep it nice and simple up here, Not by any furniture that is unnecessary and won't be used.
And just put some nice sell trinkets on dhe.
Some pitch frames on the radiator cover on dhe.
Leave it as it is.
I think the car up here, we'll do all of the talking I hate that has answered any of the questions that were on the last video because I know that people were confusing.

I really did find, like, some of the messages that people said about, like, why Anna, would you rip up solid wood flooring?
And I was like, Hey, it's not solid wood, but we're really, really happy with it.

It just feels a lot more of a serene space because I actually really like warm wood on dhe.
I love the title of this more beige tones It's really kind of growing on me.
But the last floor it was just too warm for me, way too warm to out of my comfort zone, basically, But my colleagues are going in terms off planning these spare bedrooms.
I believe we have began the process of ordering our linen sofas for the living room, which means that someday soon, I'm a going to have to show you my dream of doom on.
Do they start selling stuff?

I found a method to safely do it, so I'm able to.
Because obviously as much as I would love to have you all coming over on picking up your furniture, I need to sell it in a way that's obviously safe on dhe.

And I think that I found a really good method.
