  • Hey, guys.

  • Hey, what are some of my favorite songs?

  • Britain and released by women?

  • I would have trouble thinking of a favorite song that isn't written by a woman.

  • One of my all time favorite empowering records by a woman was I will survive and that was my go to karaoke song.

  • It also reminds me of my mom.

  • I feel really empowered by songs like Bo Derek Yellow Break Up with Your Girlfriend on board.

  • I feel inspired by Selina's looking her now That's been my January's in the and probably, uh, bitch better have my money.

  • What could be more empowering than that?

  • I would say, like almost all of my favorite songs are written released by women.

  • I mean, one of my favorite artists of all times, Lana del Rey.

  • I think Carole King is a songwriter is like a just one of the greatest of all time.

  • I'm constantly inspired toe right because of my sister and all the music that she makes Tau have my music played on the radio is is such a big deal for me.

  • My dream has always been to have my music be heard all over the world and have that support is is really incredible.

  • And, um, you know, I grew up kind school and listening to the radio and being inspired by some of my favorite like female pop artists that have allowed me to dream this big and have allowed me to feel that guy to maybe one day concealed on the radio, I would say the women who inspired me the most are, of course, my mom.

  • Mm Malala.

  • Sometimes when I feel uninspired, I just watch interviews with Malala and feel like I need to do more for the world.

  • My mom inspires me a lot about my mother's capacity, with kindness that's far beyond me and this capacity to just I don't know.

  • Sometimes it's difficult for me to do something nice and the knocking.

  • Thank you.

  • Like if I hold the door open for somebody and they walked through and they don't say nothing, I'm like, That's me with my mom's, the type to just hold it a 1,000,000 times.

  • Never expect anything, and I just respect that so much and I work.

  • Thio achieved that level of growth where it's just good for the sacred good and not expecting anything in return.

  • I wish I could say I'm like that now, but I'm not what I'm working towards being that way.

  • Women that inspire me the most are a lot of, um, armed.

  • Be so artists such as Kei Lani and her and Johnny I go on so many more scissor They they all really express their riel real human emotions through their music and that that is what I take into my own music.

  • And it's it inspires me to create.

  • We've overcome so much, I think women in the music industry, I think in itself the we've managed Thio Step it up.

  • We've managed to be heard.

  • We, uh, taking no prisoners on dhe.

  • It's it's just amazing to see so much a female power in the music industry.

  • I think women have overcome a lot, especially in the music industry.

  • Um, being a woman, you know, I feel a certain a certain kind of, uh, like discouragement sometimes.

  • And it doesn't always come from outside, sometimes comes from myself.

  • And, uh, I just trying my best to kind of be as positive and be mindful of the privilege that I have for other women because, you know, there are a lot of things that I feel like we can definitely do to support other women in the industry and to make sure that the future is as diverse as possible.

  • I would like to see the music industry woman just be appreciated as much as they can, because I feel like they say, play such an important role and there's so many things that they provide.

  • I mean, especially being in writing sessions or being in recording sessions.

  • Having a woman beside me is so motivating to be ableto put my best self out there and put my best lyrics out there.

  • And I know that having so many inspirations definitely encourages me to be the best one that I could be.

  • We're not in that place anymore.

  • 2020 I think, is an amazing time to be a woman, and we're never going backwards on Lee going forwards on Lee, owning more and it's not only about owning our bodies in the way that we represent ourselves, but it's owning our our work and our creativity and having a seat at the table.

  • I think it's just equality, equal pay, equal treatment.

  • But for women not only in this industry, but in every industry in the world, I think it's about time.

  • Happy International Woman's Day, Mother.
