  • joining us now to break down the first day of the trial is our will car.

  • Who was there?

  • Well, how much do we expect this Siri's to play a role in the trial?

  • A lot.

  • Lindsey, The prosecution has already been using Robert Durst own words against him as they're making their case to the jury.

  • And you may remember the big bombshell with the jinx.

  • That was in the last episode when you could hear Durst admit to what a lot of people thought was a potential confession.

  • Well, it turns out that that bombshell was heavily edited by HBO.

  • We're gonna play for you.

  • What aired on the jinx, and then I'm going to read to you What?

  • Durst actually said Mmm.

  • Killed more course.

  • But what he said in full was, actually, I don't know what you expected to get.

  • I don't know what's in the house.

  • Oh, I want this.

  • Killed them all.

  • Off course I want to do something new.

  • There's nothing new about that.

  • He was right.

  • I was wrong.

  • The burping.

  • I'm having difficulty with the question.

  • What the hell did I do now?

  • The judge has said that if the jury actually does hear this.

  • They have to hear the statement in full, not what aired on HBO and Lindsay.

  • You can see that the two are completely different.

  • And well, after hearing opening arguments, what do we expect from the trial ahead?

  • Well, we're expecting a lot more bombshells.

  • The prosecution is painting a picture that involves three murders theologian murder of Durst first wife.

  • Back in the eighties, her body has never been found.

  • Another murder in Texas that Durst has already been acquitted.

  • For then, of course, the murder of Susan Berman.

  • This also involves allegations of, um, revenge and one victim who's actually linked to the Mafia.

  • If you add it all up, this trial's expected to last for months.

  • They're planning on hearing for more than 100 witnesses, so there's gonna be, ah, lot of explosive testimony in the days and weeks to come.

  • Explosive, I could imagine.
