  • see people putting up Christmas trees.

  • So that means let's go drifting.

  • I guess I don't need a reason.

  • First up today is a goodwill haven't been to in a while, and that is the Goodwill Outlet center in the case.

  • You don't know.

  • It is a place where they just sort of dump a whole bunch of crap into big blue bins, stuff that has been rejected and unsold and whatnot from other goodwill stores in the region.

  • All sorts of things in here, mostly crap.

  • But sometimes you find a real diamond in the rough like this back half of a Scrabble box or somebody's collection of self recorded mix tapes.

  • Yes, sometimes I like looking through these just to see what whoever's this was, put whatever they put on here, Does that make sense?

  • I don't know, but has a B 50 two's The Cure?

  • Bush 3 11 Beastie Boys and not bad.

  • I got some loose CDs over here.

  • CD ROM's are CG laser lens cleaner.

  • Who cares?

  • Used to be a copy of Missed three, and here somewhere we have some sort of cad cheapo program from soft key and a wig.

  • This is kind of fascinating, though.

  • Check out this argyle calculator, some kind of seventies looking dealio, quite chunky.

  • I kind of like the design.

  • You know, It's not in great shape, though, and no power cord is just it feels gross.

  • I'm not gonna get this, but, you know, just not in great shape, however, is in fantastic shape.

  • Compared to this unfortunate beast, this is a Web core region for or at least it used to be.

  • This poor tape recorder has seen much, much better days.

  • Good grief.

  • Somebody took a dump on it or something.

  • A man that's not solid state anymore.

  • That is just a sad state.

  • All right, well, really nothing in here.

  • Spend a good 25 minutes just hanging around.

  • But everything had been picked clean.

  • It's a very busy day.

  • It's gonna get for stopping by on Saturday, moving on over to the other side of the store, though in the retail section of checking out the glass case here full of games and whatnot.

  • And there are games and what not?

  • Not really Anything that I'm interested in, either, because already have it, or the price is just not right now, like what the heck, man.

  • Five bucks for that crappy copy.

  • A Dodge.

  • Um, really?

  • Over in the glass case.

  • Next to it, though, is one of these magic touches.

  • I actually have one of these by a key tech.

  • It's a little different model, but yeah, you put this on the front of your monitor and it turns it into a touch screen.

  • I'll cover it eventually.

  • All those stickers got my attention first and foremost, but yeah, check out this little stereo here.

  • So, you know, I've got a record player and radio and whatnot, but then the tape player, I was like, Where the heck does the tape go into look at the way that it goes in there.

  • So you lift this little plastic door up and the tape goes in there at an angle to sort of sits behind there.

  • It's a bizarre little thing.

  • I don't see that very often.

  • I kind of like that design.

  • Who?

  • Here we go get an IBM PC Hardware.

  • Here.

  • There's a Selectric two typewriter covered in.

  • I'm not even really sure like metal shavings.

  • It's kind of nasty, but yeah, it's things were all right now is like seeing IBM stuff, even if it's not computer related, really.

  • Onto another goodwill in this fall morning.

  • And checking out the glass case in front of the store.

  • And there's one darn creepy Gerber baby.

  • Good grief.

  • What in the world?

  • Yeah, moving right along quickly, please.

  • A bunch of knives here on the top shelf inside of there.

  • I'll have them from the same brand.

  • Kind of makes me wonder like why we're dead come from And some frozen germ ex can't say I've ever won in my hand sanitizer to be frozen But whatever the cold never bothered me anyway, Jake, now the furniture section and check out this piece of furniture and heavy quotes That is that the dolphin candleholder sitting on top of this delightful machine here.

  • This Xena's Allegra stereo system.

  • It's still got the little thing that goes on top of the turntable there, that specs and whatnot.

  • Yeah, I got a radio in here, Cubby Hole down here and check out that eight track player just sitting right off to the side there.

  • I like that.

  • I also really like the fact that it comes with pricing and manufacturer paperwork, and this is just cool.

  • Look at that delightful color scheme.

  • Man also has the documentation here, which is these console stereo systems.

  • Man, I I'm always halfway tempted by them, but I just I don't know, I'm fine.

  • Just looking at them at Goodwill's.

  • This one, though.

  • I mean, I just kept finding more things about it that I like that Look at that two plus two matrix control.

  • Insert Morpheus quote here over in the media and they've moved it into this little bookshelf.

  • Not much of interests, but I did run across this thing right here because it said adhesive family.

  • What?

  • Yeah, fellows, adhesive CD holders actually looking for this exact type of thing.

  • I sometimes like to stick a CD sleeve with the driver's inside of old computers.

  • Anyway, I could just keep the software and computer together in case anything goes wrong and, yeah, this will be great.

  • I could just stick the CD inside of the case, checking out another goodwill because, of course, we are pretty much nothing in their glass case this time.

  • But they had some computers hanging out here on this front door bookshelf.

  • This the same stupid Dell's without always have, though for 150 bucks, so who cares?

  • But oh, my goodness.

  • Look at that.

  • That pattern.

  • Oh, it gives worse or better, depending on what your definition might be at the moment.

  • That is one loud couch.

  • Holy crap.

  • Who is this four?

  • Carmen Miranda got a piano over here.

  • Very white, glossy looking piano CDs too often.

  • And goodwill.

  • This one in particular was being sold for $600 1 of more expensive items I've seen at a good one in a long time.

  • But, I mean, it seems to be a pretty decent piano for an upright.

  • Anyway, it's a cooler.

  • And Campbell sounded good over in electronics.

  • And this little VCR here caught my eye mainly because the brand it is a tiac brand.

  • Now that is interesting.

  • I've never seen a T act VCR and also never seen one that said Cirio.

  • Okay, maybe that stereo the tea just looks weird.

  • It's a stereo.

  • TIAC VCR.

  • Check out this hulking beast on the bottom shelf, though.

  • Mmm.

  • All that wood Green's a rhapsody.

  • Something or other combo units got, like, eight track cassette radio.

  • This thing doesn't really open, but yeah, I mean, it's all these, all these knobs, big, giant, chunky dials.

  • And this is just wonderful.

  • Like this far is the way it feels and looks, uh, why does it have a handle here?

  • I don't know, but, dude, now I have something I'd ever own.

  • But I just like this all in one ridiculous design.

  • Another all in one design down here on the floor behind that.

  • This is a Sony reel to reel tape recorder.

  • Thankfully, much better shape than the one we saw earlier.

  • Includes E S P auto Reverse.

  • What a nifty design.

  • Not very convenient because of the way that the speaker's fold, I guess they're supposed to fold on top.

  • That's kind of different.

  • I've never seen that before, and it was only 15 bucks.

  • I was darn close to buying this one, but I decided against it because I'm holding out for a very specific type of reel to reel checking out the media.

  • And I see Bowie in particular This sound vision three CD box set still sealed, Not something I would pick up.

  • I don't collect CDs like at all, but yeah, Bowie, I approve.

  • Also approve of this little typewriter in the toy section.

  • What is this?

  • The young students typewriter?

  • A very, very plasticky, Super cheap light.

  • Look at the way that the keys rattle around when you're typing.

  • But I mean, it's fully functional.

  • It looks to be is like a little thing.

  • And about that, I gotta check out the puzzles of more games because we always do.

  • And this got my eye immediately.

  • Omar Sharif's bridge.

  • Yes, indeed.

  • The man himself, the actor, that bridge player and also put his name to a lot of different bridge software back in the day is a little bit newer than most I have seen with his smiling face on the front.

  • But yeah, I can't say no.

  • All right, we gotta check out another goodwill because, of course we do.

  • And the lucky rock is looking mighty cold this cold morning.

  • Here you go.

  • Have a jacket.

  • I'm sure it feels much better in the side is full of Christmas terrors in the form of emoji ornaments.

  • Anyone can make emoji stuff.

  • There's no one's stopping anyone so whatever, but the fact that they're all a goodwill is kind of like giving me a little bit of hope that nobody actually wants these jagged, out some computer peripherals here, and we have a logic Tech G 11 keyboard.

  • That's an interesting find.

  • Not something that I need or want.

  • But, yeah, that's a little more complex than is normal for goodwill keyboards most of the time, and also some interesting mice strewn around in here, such as this one from Logitech 1987.

  • It's like the way this looks.

  • I'm definitely grabbing this little guy.

  • This caught my eye as well, Still sealed in the box and enhanced I D e Accelerator Board.

  • It's an ice.

  • A card on Lee.

  • Three bucks.

  • Yeah, I'll get it.

  • I can pretty much always use another controller card behind there, There with the games and software and whatnot.

  • Copy of Miss Trilogy.

  • Who cares?

  • Because I already have it.

  • And we got office here, a Carell office.

  • Seven professional.

  • That's interesting.

  • I don't actually see this very often at all, but there it is, still sealed.

  • So that's a thing that I'm not gonna get.

  • Here's something that I've never seen in a box before.

  • This is starry night enthusiast.

  • In fact, I never even realized that the Starry Night programs came in boxes, but I mean, sure, I guess that makes sense.

  • Anyway, it's a planetarium.

  • Sort of space exploration, the software.

  • I'm not going to be getting this because, I mean, I don't need it or anything, but yeah, that was kind of fascinating to see.

  • Oh, my Look at the wood green, huh?

  • It looks like some sort of clock radio answering machine phone combination.

  • Wow, that's a fascinating deal by Magna box.

  • Here, check out the handset and just everything.

  • Really?

  • What a cheap plastic key thing.

  • Now, this got my attention because looking classy suitcase thing, it's in some kind of old projector.

  • I assume this is not my area of expertise at all, but ridiculously heavy.

  • Felt like I was made of iron.

  • Just a cool design like that.

  • It's like a retro futuristic thing going on.

  • Speaking of a little retro futurism, this is a first at least for showing up in a goodwill for me.

  • This is a Sony mega watchman F d 500.

  • Yes, not a Walkman.

  • A watchman who watches the mega watchman.

  • Me, I guess.

  • Pretty awesome design.

  • I got to say I just I just admire the design of this little box, The speaker on top in the little black and white display in front?

  • Yeah, that's just neat.

  • Also just fantastic in terms of old design.

  • Check these out.

  • This Panasonic radio over here.

  • Wow, that just looks great to me.

  • Same with this eight track player in this.

  • Well, another eight track player by Fisher up above that, um, and that old Panasonic logo and just does just look really cool.

  • So did this Zenith TV.

  • I was mighty tempted by this one.

  • I don't need another small color TV of the size, but just look att.

  • Look at that looks, man.

  • Oh, it's so cool.

  • Kind of wish I had gotten it, but I didn't.

  • Wow.

  • What in the world is this?

  • A dryer?

  • It is.

  • It's a tiny dryer.

  • The opening is just a little bigger than my hand.

  • What in the world?

  • I mean, I guess this makes sense if you're, like, in a small apartment or like, a dorm or something.

  • Maybe.

  • But I've never seen a dryer that small.

  • Maybe it's just me.

  • Maybe I just don't look at dryers much.

  • I do look a gigantic speakers, though, Like these, Sir, When Vegas.

  • Holy crap, man.

  • Those look awesome.

  • V s one twenties.

  • Love that particular wood grain pattern cones look rather worn.

  • That's amore audio equipment over here that I really don't know what it is at all.

  • It was a d m one stereo disco mixer.

  • Uh oh.

  • I like the sound of that.

  • Doesn't seem to be too special, but it's just a cool name.

  • Also, this Kenwood's stereo stacks pretty sweet.

  • Wonder if this went with those speakers over there.

  • Over here on this desk, I saw something from Tandy.

  • That's pretty cool.

  • It turns out that was just a bi directional tractor for the D.

  • W.

  • P 2 30 printer at nothing particularly special just to add on for the printer.

  • Basically just a tray.

  • They're still, though Tandy Product and Goodwill I approve also approve of this Magic Chef Oven and Stove.

  • Could you tell him reaching for try to find interesting stuff to show for this episode?

  • But I mean, still, that's a really cool old design.

  • Gotta love that analog clock and timer combination in the wood grain, and that was about to head out.

  • I was greeted by Napoleon Hill specifically the question of what would he do?

  • Uh, I guess a lot of people want to know.

  • Or maybe they don't.

  • Because these air a goodwill and we got one more stop before the end of the episode here because I always gotta check this one.

  • And right inside, I'm seeing some adobe software here.

  • This is a photo deluxe two point.

  • Oh, the education version still sealed.

  • Nothing that I need or really want.

  • But, hey, don't be software sealed.

  • This, on the other hand, is more my style.

  • Ah, yes, we have.

  • Nope.

  • That's not what I thought it would be.

  • That's the better working Ressam.

  • Make it coming.

  • That's her, Dawes.

  • I don't need that at all.

  • What I was talking about was actually this right here the auto desk collection, four m s dos and Windows three, Auto cat, auto vision, autocrat designer and three D studio released to all year big fan of earlier design software like this.

  • I'm totally grabbing it.

  • And a couple of a piece of software down here had Autodesk's autocad as six math cad and uninstaller cleans windows automatically by McAfee nuke and then over in the electronics.

  • Check this out.

  • What the aroma disc player fragrance record diffuser by a Roux Montes.

  • So yet you literally put like a record inside there, and it puts out smells.

  • Apparently not very good ones from what I've read.

  • Mighty tempting.

  • But Noah the same with this Sony thinking Over here I saw the old packaging, and I was intrigued.

  • This is a H e too head de magnetize er for de magnetized tape heads on reel to reel machines and such.

  • Ooh, check out this little Memorex pocket TV.

  • The pocket vision model.

  • 29 I guess.

  • Interesting.

  • I just mentioned these recently in a video I did showing RadioShack catalogs.

  • Teeny tiny color TV.

  • That's pretty need.

  • Actually, he's got a little stand and everything.

  • Got another piece of auto desk software over in this section For some reason.

  • Auto sketch.

  • Eight.

  • Much newer than I need or collect, but yeah, all right, but auto desk stuff just unloaded here.

  • What is this?

  • I'm intrigued by the wood green.

  • Apparently, we have a record player here from Bazaar MacDonald.

  • They're professional.

  • Model 22 60.

  • Be ex turntable.

  • That's a pretty sweet, simple design.

  • It reminds me of some dual turntables I've seen but much cheaper feeling abs.

  • I was about to head out.

  • I thought I found some sealed three and 1/2 inch floppy disks, but no the dimensions the boxer pretty much identical to a three and 1/2 inch floppy disk box.

  • But now these air supplements of some kind.

  • So no thanks.

  • And that is it for Episode 37 of Algae are thrifts.

  • I didn't exactly find a whole lot this time, but hopefully the journey of trying to look out and find things anyway was still fun for you.

  • Certainly was, for me, about a couple cool things here at least.

  • The auto desk collection for Dawson Windows Ah, Marcia Reef Bridge for Windows 95 this E I.

  • D E Controller board for Aisa card slot compatible systems and that funky cool retro to button logic mouse and that adhesive CD holders kit, which I I seriously, I've already used these things up, so it's really useful.

  • I'm glad to pick that up, and I'm glad you guys have picked up all the things that you have to and sent me.

  • Photos of those said things.

  • Sorry, it's taking a little bit of time to get out these videos as usual.

  • 1,000,000,000 Now is just how it goes.

  • Thrift is completely luck based.

  • And if you missed my video explaining that recently, then I highly recommend it.

  • Check it out, look behind the scenes there and see what goes into making a thrift episode anyway, that you enjoyed this stuff and keep sending me your thrift ing finds.

  • So hopefully we'll be able to get Thio.

  • Episode 38 someday has always thank you very much for watching what you just did.
