  • welcome to this additional off script for myself and Jamie Carragher.

  • Jamie.

  • There has been a survey kind of art.

  • You go.

  • They put 1500 people to the sword.

  • Well, shall we say ask them questions with regard to V.

  • A.

  • R.

  • Results are announced late this week.

  • I want to put the questions to you.

  • What's I say?

  • They say it's not what survey says it is.

  • What Cara says won't be your preference on the future use of the hour in football.

  • Would it be?

  • Keep using it as it's used now without any changes.

  • Keep using it.

  • But change the ways which is used.

  • Stop using entirely or don't know.

  • I think I think there's been a lot of good for V.

  • A.

  • R selects one, aren't you?

  • Don't study.

  • Keep it.

  • We'll just tweak it.

  • Basically, Was that one of the answers?

  • You can keep it.

  • Modify it a little bit.

  • If the following changes are made to be our would you support them or oppose them?

  • So would you support a pose a time limit on how long it can take for decisions to be made?

  • No, because I think proposed oppose because I think the most important thing is getting the decision, right?

  • I mean, if you got a decision wrong because you missed it by a couple of seconds, that's just being able to see the video footage.

  • The referees are being shown.

  • You support that or oppose it, that we say we see what the refs is sick.

  • Well, perhaps on the picture, T c.

  • You mean the people in Stockley Park?

  • Don't we see that?

  • Not completely.

  • We do a moment.

  • Woman commentary We see sometimes what?

  • What they're looking at.

  • What about the crowd?

  • Yeah, I think that can't have to be massively more involved.

  • I think we have to in some ways make it almost like theater.

  • It's actually part off.

  • It's almost Scene is a bad thing now via and I totally understand people in the stadium try and flip it on a tablet.

  • It actually becomes almost as you just said before theater on There has been some times where there's that way for the gold in the stadium.

  • Just explode when you know the gold is given on.

  • I think sometimes in a way that that that's a good thing about it.

  • Actually, supporters in the state and being told, maybe the refugees being my door, maybe listen to how that they're speaking to the people in stopping you jumped into the next question.

  • Would you oppose or support being able to hear the conversation the referees are having regarding decision?

  • I think I think you're doing something to support the love.

  • It did know exactly why goals are given or taken away.

  • That's the problem now, the people in the stadium the most intimate, if you like within the game.

  • Rather, people watching sky a home on different things that on the phone, wherever it may be, they know more about that decision.

  • Then what's happened to the paying customers?

  • That can't be right.

  • And I just think yet Mike and referees or so people know exactly why things are being given.

  • Okay, lastly, what's your overview?

  • Off the are the interruption.

  • It hasn't been a success.

  • I wouldn't say it's been a massive success.

  • I think there's always gonna be T than problems on.

  • Probably split on it.

  • I think I was massively for technology at the start of the season.

  • Now I've seen it.

  • I think it was always gonna be problems with it.

  • I think we've almost got it.

  • Tweak it as a set on the fish question.

  • I think the big thing that really frustrates people, one of them is not to do with they are.

  • It's to do with the ham Ballroom, which has got to be changed.

  • And I think that those really tight offsides and I was always of the opinion of offside offside.

  • But now I want to see how tight it is, what actually lose and level so basically before the 1990 whale corporate to be behind the last defender.

  • Then he went level.

  • But what what goals are getting given away for now, that's what level waas because level for the lines.

  • When was it wasn't If you talk you up, it was just a head that was clusters level.

  • You have to be sort of, you know, ahead of the last defender.

  • So what?

  • Actually, in some ways, that change in 1990 was to bring the game for that Seymour goals.

  • What, actually going near the way not fully back to what it was bought will lose that advantage that was given out.

  • That was a great change in the offside rule in 1990 thing after 19.

  • Well, Corp we're level was basically a goal.

  • That's what we'll lose.

  • And that's the end of those questions.

  • But you just just think I mean taking your theme and take a look.

  • At times, it just makes the game a bit joyless of its Solis.

  • Yeah, listen, as I said, I have told me and all but I was massively for technology.

  • I think goal line technology is that one of the brilliant best thing that ever happened to football because it's so buckle.

  • Yeah, exactly.

  • On my initial idea for they are was not fully go via this.

  • This is it because I thought they'll always be problems.

  • I also got gold on technology.

  • Everybody loves it.

  • The next thing for me is I always think that big things that decide games on people's goals, obviously, but whether I found is inside the box or outside the box is a massive difference, and that's about the line again.

  • Factual yes, May for red cards, too often felt games were getting spoiled, but she wanna get sent off in the first half of game.

  • It wasn't a red card on the game and just just died.

  • 10 v 11 the jury for people in the state and people watching a hole on.

  • They were the two things I thought saw like the next step.

  • And then maybe the next step.

  • After that, it just feels like we've gone in fully with everything.

  • It was always gonna be problems, but going back, there's no way they out is now gonna be taken away.

  • And it's okay, me sitting here saying, or you and whoever the pundit side and saying we should get rid of it.

  • That's not happening.

  • You gotta come up with solutions of how it could be improved on.

  • Everyone is part of the game.

  • It's not just make Riley and referees there and weird or people all together.

  • We all love the game.

  • How can we make it better?

  • And I just think I said tweak and I'm not getting rid of humble rule out the set up is just wrong.

  • I just think the offsides of saintly gotta be looking because I think a lot of other stuff is being really good with their okay, Thank you very much indeed, Jimmy, That's your addition.
