  • Why does New Hampshire matter?

  • It's because its primary results are likely to affect the rest of the Democratic caucuses

  • and primaries going forward.

  • New Hampshire is the only second state to vote following the Iowa caucuses,... so it's

  • the first Democratic primary in the U.S.

  • So, for Democratic candidates, this race matters a lot,... especially when there's no real

  • front-runner in the party,... whereas President Trump is likely to sweep almost all the votes

  • from the Republican side again.

  • In New Hampshire, registered Democrats and independents can take part in the primary.

  • Former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg won a surprise victory in Iowa.

  • All eyes are on whether Buttigieg can follow that with another win in New Hampshire,...

  • or others in the hat like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden or Amy Klobuchar

  • can grab the win.

  • In the meantime, a survey in the New York Times showed virtually all the Democratic

  • candidates were against the idea of pulling American troops out of the Korean peninsula.
