for grabs.

Polls will close at 8 PM Eastern Time,... and we'll get the results soon after that.

Why does New Hampshire matter?

It's because its primary results are likely to affect the rest of the Democratic caucuses

and primaries going forward.

New Hampshire is the only second state to vote following the Iowa caucuses,... so it's

the first Democratic primary in the U.S.

So, for Democratic candidates, this race matters a lot,... especially when there's no real

front-runner in the party,... whereas President Trump is likely to sweep almost all the votes

from the Republican side again.

In New Hampshire, registered Democrats and independents can take part in the primary.

Former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg won a surprise victory in Iowa.

All eyes are on whether Buttigieg can follow that with another win in New Hampshire,...

or others in the hat like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden or Amy Klobuchar

can grab the win.

In the meantime, a survey in the New York Times showed virtually all the Democratic

candidates were against the idea of pulling American troops out of the Korean peninsula.
