Hi everyone. I'm rincey and i am one of the contributing editors over at book

To-infinitive

riot. I'm back to do a Ready Set Hold. This is a feature where I talk about

Sentences with adverbs of degree

books that are coming out about two months in advance. So that way you guys

can put them on hold at your local library today. I pick out five books that

I think will have relatively long hold lists based on the fact that these

are popular authors. And so you guys can put them on hold at your local library

today so you can be at the top of the hold list rather than the bottom of the

hold list. So in this video I'm going to be talking about books that are coming

out in March of 2020. And this is the time when everything starts to pick up

in terms of books and publishing. Because I, you know, started to go through the

calendar and go through all, some of the books that I know are coming out in

March and I had a lot of them. So narrowing this list down to five was

not easy. But I did it and these are the ones I think you guys should have on

your radar. First up I have Deacon King Kong by James McBride. And James McBride

is probably best well-known for writing the book the Good Lord Bird, which won

the National Book Award. So James McBride hasn't published a

fiction books since the good lord bird came out. So I think that this one is

going to be one that a lot of people are really excited about. This is another

historical fiction book but it's taking place in like the 1960s. So the story

starts off with you following this character named sportcoat who is a

church deacon in the New York City area. And he goes down to this housing project

that's located in like Brooklyn and he shoots point-blank one of the drug

dealers in the housing project. And this shooting basically just sort of sets

everything in motion for the rest of this novel. Following like the victims of

the shooting as well as the local residents who witnessed the shooting

happen, the white neighbors in the area, the local police officers, all these

different characters who are kind of tangentially involved in this event. But

this isn't just like a really heavy book. Like anyone who has read the good Lord

bird knows that James McBride infuses like humor and some light heartedness

into these stories that tackle a kind of difficult topic. So if you are fan of

James McBride, I definitely am and have this one on my list and you should

definitely have it on yours as well. Next coming out on March 3rd

is house of earth and blood by Sarah J Maas. This is the first book in a new

series called the Crescent City series. I don't think I really need to do much of

an introduction for Sarah J Maas but she's a very popular young adult author.

But I believe that this is actually like a fantasy new adult book. In this story

you're following this character named a Bryce whose friend is killed by a demon.

And then the demon gets captured in his book put behind bars but murders still

keep happening. And so Bryce basically takes it upon herself to figure out what

exactly is going on. So yes, if you are a fan of Sarah J Maas, I have a strong

feeling at least one person is, just statistically speaking, watching this

because she's very popular, her new book comes out on March 3rd. I'm sure you're

already aware but in case you weren't. It's out on March 3rd and put it on hold

at your library today because that one is definitely going to have a hold.

Speaking of popular young adult authors, there is a new book by Marie Lu that is

also coming out in March. It is called the kingdom of back and it is also

coming out on March 3rd. This one I believe is a standalone book as well. So

if you are someone who enjoys stand-alones more than series books, then

this is one to keep your eye out for. It's a little bit different from the

things that Marie Lu has put out before. Because in the past I'm pretty sure

she's just put out like science fiction type of young adult books, and this one

is actually a historical fantasy book. And this one is actually playing on the

history and kind of what's known about Wolfgang Mozart. So you are following the

story of these two siblings who are both like musical prodigies. One of them is

Wolfgang Mozart but one of them is his sister named Nannerl Mozart who is also

a musical prodigy and wants to be like a famous musician one day. But she is a

woman and doesn't necessarily get the same opportunities. This book is being

described as perfect for fans of Susanna Clarke and the Hazel Wood,

which are not like books and authors that I would necessarily put in the same

category as Marie Lu. So you can definitely color me intrigued by this

one. So if you are a fan of Marie Lu or enjoy historical fantasy book then

Kingdom of Back is coming out on March 3rd. Alright next I have the

mirror and the light by Hilary Mantel. This one is coming out on March 10th.

This is the third and I believe final book in the Thomas Cromwell series.

This is a very popular historical fiction series. And so I can almost guarantee

that this one is also going to have a very long hold list. So the first book in

the series was Wolf Hall, the second one is bring up the bodies. And they think

that the last book came out in like 2012. So people have been waiting for this

third one for a while. And so like I said, this is a historical fiction series. And

if you couldn't tell like the name of the series, you're basically following

the life of Thomas Cromwell from when he was an advisor for Henry VIII, yes.

Henry VIII and so this is going to be the final book I believe in a series

where you are going to just follow him to his death. Like I said, a lot of people

really, really love this series a whole lot. If you are a fan of this trilogy, the

final book is coming out on March 10. And the final book I have to talk about

today is the city we became by NK Jemisin. This is the first book in a new

series from NK Jemisin. So I don't know too much about this book and the

synopsis is pretty brief in terms of what it includes.

But basically you are following five different characters who come together

to defend and save New York City. It sounds really different from NK Jemisin's

other stuff that she's written because I feel like all of her other fantasy books

have been like very much in like another worldly type of thing. And the fact that

this one is set in New York City already makes it feel like it's going to be a

very different series. But NK Jemison is a really great writer. She's

gotten obviously so much more attention and acclaim since she won all of those

Hugo Awards and whatnot. So I feel like that this is going to be a book that a

lot of people are really excited for. So again, the city we became by NK jemisin

is coming out on March 24th. So those are all of the books I have for you guys
