  • Hello, Lenny.

  • I know you just finished your tour.

  • Good to be here.

  • I mean, I don't need to come here to see you.

  • Because your picture's all over my house.

  • Yeah.

  • But it's good to see you in person.

  • I know.

  • I thought maybe you'd pick up a few more.

  • You know, I get so much art that arrives here from fans.

  • And I'll just send them to you.

  • Thank you.

  • Yeah.

  • Thanks for surprising our little drummer boy.

  • Oh, he's amazing.

  • Isn't he?

  • And I love supporting young musicians.

  • I've been watching him for a long time now.

  • And I'm sure he'll end up on the road with me at some point.

  • Yeah, you have people come on stage with you.

  • Absolutely.

  • Yeah, it's very cool for them.

  • Yeah, yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • And it's beautiful for me.

  • Yeah, I'm sure.

  • So your daughter Zoë just got married.

  • Yes, she did.

  • How was that for you?

  • Surreal.

  • It was the most beautiful wedding I've ever been to.

  • I love her husband, Karl Glusman.

  • He's a wonderful man.

  • We have an amazing relationship outside of my daughter.

  • Yeah.

  • And it was it was beautiful.

  • We had it at our house in Paris.

  • That's great.

  • It looked beautiful.

  • I saw it some pictures.

  • She's really, really beautiful.

  • Aw, thank you.

  • And a good person.

  • And you're good-- and she must, like--

  • imagine having him as a dad.

  • That's your dad.

  • Lenny Kravitz is your dad.

  • Very cool.

  • So let's talk about the Bahamas.

  • I know you have a home there.

  • And it is devastating what's happened there.

  • And I want to hear your thoughts on what we can do,

  • what you're doing.

  • Well, as you know, two islands that got severely hit

  • were Abaco and Freeport.

  • It's devastating.

  • I have a lot of people on the ground there.

  • Look at that.

  • Yeah, I mean, it's like a nuclear bomb went off.

  • And what I'm really concerned with are the locals.

  • The heart and the soul of these islands

  • are the locals, the people of the Bahamas.

  • I feel bad for the rich folks that lost their places.

  • But they'll be able to rebuild.

  • But it's about these people that don't

  • have the means to rebuild.

  • So we're all in meetings and figuring out

  • what to do to get these homes back to these people.

  • And it's going to be a long process.

  • Stage one is right now.

  • It was about rescue, cleanup, feeding people.

  • There's still two great organizations that you can

  • donate to José Andrés' World Central Kitchen is still

  • feeding--

  • He's amazing.

  • He is.

  • He goes wherever--

  • [APPLAUSE]

  • He's incredible.

  • Yeah.

  • He gets in-- what's amazing about him

  • is he goes in with no plan.

  • When we talked about Puerto Rico, he's like, I just went.

  • I just go.

  • And we figure it out when we get there.

  • And he's so talented.

  • So he's still feeding displaced people, tens of thousands

  • of people.

  • And there's an organization, Core,

  • who have gone in to clean up, have to demolish things,

  • and clean up, and move things around, and also build shelter.

  • So those are two good places to start.

  • But more will be following.

  • This is going to be a several-year project.

  • Yeah.

  • And also, I have to say, I donated to the SPCA.

  • They went in.

  • There's so many animals that needed home.

  • And there were people that went in there and rescued animals.

  • And thank you for that.

  • We spoke during that time.

  • And I really appreciate your concern.

  • Well, because these people have lost their homes.

  • So did everything that's that they had.

  • Absolutely.

  • But the viewers can go to our website

  • to find about these two organizations to donate to.

  • And then you are setting up a dental clinic there that is--

  • I mean, this is crazy that there was no dental clinic there.

  • It's something that just happened.

  • I'm very good friends with my dentist.

  • He came down to visit.

  • [SCATTERED LAUGHTER]

  • I am.

  • [LAUGHTER]

  • Well, you have beautiful teeth.

  • Well, thank you.

  • He's taking good care of you.

  • Thank you, Dr. Levine, in New York City.

  • And so he came down to visit.

  • I was talking about my friends that

  • were having all of these problems

  • in their mouths, and infections, and pain, and so forth.

  • And we went through the towns.

  • I wanted to prove to him that this was going on

  • at this severe level.

  • We took my Jeep through the town.

  • We started to examine people on the hood of my Jeep.

  • Next thing you know, we're down there

  • with 40 of the best dentists from New York

  • City from Dr. Levine's office.

  • And this will be our fifth year now.

  • We've also created a toothpaste.

  • Myself and his two sons have created

  • a toothpaste called Twice, which is about brushing twice a day.

  • It's a healthy toothpaste that works.

  • And it's the best toothpaste there is right now, absolutely.

  • Fantastic.

  • [APPLAUSE]

  • And starting now, for this month, 25% of sales

  • will be going to the Bahamas.

  • And we're going to do our fifth mission in December.

  • Good for you.

  • All right, well, I love what you're doing.

  • Shutterfly loves what you're doing.

  • And they want to help support building communities like this.

  • So we're going to give you a check for $100,000--

  • Oh.

  • [APPLAUSE]

  • Yeah, because--

  • Oh, my god.

  • Wow.

  • Wow.

  • We'll be right back.

Hello, Lenny.
