  • eye-opener. Okay. Let's take a look at the note. All right. We have two meanings here

  • today. An eye opener is a situation or event that shows you or makes you

  • realize something, especially surprises you. Maybe even shocks you. You know,

  • realize something you did not know before. Okay. That we often say is an

  • eye opener. We have a second meaning here. An alcoholic drink. You take it in the

  • morning to wake up. Yeah. Even though, I don't think most people do this. I think

  • maybe some people that might be a heavy drinker might do this to wake up. Or it

  • looks like maybe some scene from a movie. Some old detective or something taking a

  • shot of whiskey in the morning to wake up. But that would be referred to as an

  • eye-opener as well. All right. So let's look. We got three examples here . Example

  • number one. That documentary about the medical industry was a real eye-opener.

  • Yeah. Maybe it was a documentary where you learned a lot of things about the

  • medical industry that surprised you. You know, it could be both a good or bad . Okay

  • Number two. Learning that Harvey Weinstein was seducing actresses to

  • get parts for over three decades and the fact that this seems to be much more

  • commonplace then most people realized was a real eye-opener. Yeah. And we've said

  • this before remember I did a previous video where we say it was an open secret.

  • A lot of people in Hollywood throughout the years at the Academy once used to

  • kind of joke about this with Harvey Weinstein. So they knew about it for a

  • long time. So but you know, you didn't realize they knew about it and once you

  • should find out about this stuff. You figured it's a real eye-opener that a

  • lot of this goes on. All right. Number three. Our grandfather takes a shot of

  • whiskey as an eye opener each morning. Okay. Well that's for the alcoholic drink meaning.

  • Okay. Anyway, I hope you got it. I hope it's clear. Thank you for your time.
