  • This bet involves a bottle and a pen cap. Place the cap inside the bottle, with the

  • open end pointing towards the end of the bottle and ask your friends to blow the cap further

  • into the bottle. Each time the cap will fly out. Challenge your friends to balance the

  • coin on the edge of a note. When they give up, fold the note into a V shape, balance

  • the coin on it and slowly pull the ends of the note. The coin will balance on the edge.

  • Pour a drink and then balance two coins on the edge of the glass. Tell your friends that

  • they have to lift up the glass but are only allowed to touch the coins. The secret is

  • to quickly move the coins down to the side of the glass and then lift up the whole thing.

  • Have you and a friend hold a pencil between your thumbs. Now challenge your friends to

  • keep holding the pencil between their thumbs but to move the pencil under their hands like

  • this. They will fail every time. The secret is to lift your right thumb, place your left

  • thumb under it, and then slide the pencil under your hand. There are one, two, three,

  • four, coins in this row, and one, two, three, four, five coins in this row. Your friends

  • have to move just one coin and end up with five coins in each row. The secret is simple.

  • Tell your friends that you can take a piece of paper, and cover it in loads of hexagon

  • shapes like this in less than a minute. When they accept the bet, roll the paper into a

  • tube, squeeze one end together, make another squeeze ninety degrees to the first, and work

  • your way down the tube. When you unroll the paper it will be covered in lots of hexagon

  • shapes. Fill one glass with whisky and another with water. Place a plastic card, like a driving

  • license, over the water and then turn it upside down and place it on the whisky. Now tell

  • your friends that you can make the two liquids change places but without turning them upside

  • down. To win the bet, simply move the card to the side, and the water will pour into

  • the bottom glass, forcing the whisky into the top one. This bet involves a paperclip

  • and five cards. Place a queen into the middle of the cards and then turn the cards over

  • and ask your friend to place the clip on the queen. They will place it on the front card

  • and you will win the bet. This involves a note and two paperclips. Zig-zag the note

  • and place the paperclips on it like this. Now tell your friends that you are going to

  • flick the clips off of the note but when they land they will be touching one another. You

  • will win the bet because the two clips will link together. Light a candle and place a

  • bottle behind it. Now move behind the bottle and bet your friends that you can blow out

  • the candle by blowing at it. The air moves around the bottle and so you will win the

  • bet.
