  • Welcome back to the Ask Vishwas series. I'm really excited about this episode. In

  • the previous episode we answered quite a few questions and I really enjoyed answering

  • some of your personal questions. Some were career related and there were some

  • really good takeaways from it. So I would like to take a few more questions

  • this time and get as candid as possible. So let's get rolling on this one.

  • And the next question for this episode is from a youngster who is just out of

  • college and here the question: I want to do a lot of things but I'm unable to get

  • anything done! What should I do? Please advise! This is an amazing

  • question and something that I can totally correlate with myself because

  • when I was just in early 20s this is how I was. I wanted to do everything under

  • the Sun and I was so fickle minded that you know I wanted to be everything at

  • once and I wanted to do everything at once.

  • But I didn't realize that

  • back in the day what is important is that if you want to do something

  • substantial you need to give it that time. You need to give it the focus. That

  • is something that I realized much later. But I started feeling you know and I

  • started feeling in everything I'm doing that's because I was not giving it

  • enough time. So I'm trying to look at one problem I mean or one idea that I want

  • to do and something cool comes out there and I quit that and then I move on to

  • something else so in this process what happens is

  • you're really not giving the due justice to this particular thing that you are

  • passionate about. So I'm not saying this is a bad thing because you are in the

  • early 20s. This is exactly the time that you need to experiment. So you

  • want to do a lot of things so go ahead and do all of those things. If you

  • fail it's no problem at all because you have age on your side and

  • there's no pressure as well if you fail. it's no big deal you move on to the next

  • one but after some time if you feel that you

  • have to go back to something for example - if it is art or if it is music or if

  • it is engineering or to start up or it could be anything for that matter if it

  • be theater or any of the occasions out there. but if you feel that your heart

  • is into something and you want to go back there, I think that

  • is where your true passion lies and you need to go back to that and then use

  • that to build your entire career. That is what I believe it's very critical. And

  • the second thing that I believe is there's a concept of detachment which I

  • always practice in my life. It's a great concept because what really happens is

  • it helps you to multitask. So the concept of detachment comes with another concept

  • called concentration. So what you need to do is that you need to take these two

  • concepts like detachment and concentration and then you need to roll with your

  • life. it's very simple so when you're doing

  • something for example right now I myself I'm running a couple of companies and

  • I'm trying to expand into a lot of these different areas but when I'm

  • focusing on one thing and one idea I'm completely detached. I'm detached

  • totally because I don't know I don't care about what anything else that is

  • happening out there. when I'm thinking about one idea I don't care about any

  • other idea that's going on whether it is going down or up you know it doesn't affect

  • me so this gives me that focus and the concentration to focus on one thing. Get

  • it done like you know like nail it you know that's where it's important then I

  • go to the next one I'm going to do the same thing there so that is what is the

  • concept of detachment so I it's it works like beautifully all the time and I

  • think that you should do that. So the bottom line is you're in your early 20s.

  • I think you need to go and experiment the heck out of it and this is no

  • pressure at all no problem at all in my opinion. But come

  • back, find your true love and you know pursue that for the rest of your life.

  • That's where the key is so all the best. That's all folks so

  • that's a wrap for today I had a great time answering these questions and I

  • hope that you can reach out to me anytime with anything that is troubling

  • you or you want an advice on anything I'm always there for you guys. Reach out

  • to me on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or Quora and see you around next time.

  • Take care and stay motivated

  • you
