  • The snare is usually the thing that sounds like a clap. And the snare usually lands on

  • the two or the four, meaning one, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three,

  • four. So, when you're writing your song or you're rapping to the beat, you want to land

  • on the four. One, two, three, four.

  • "My name is Chris / and I'm from Brooklyn / I own the top / It can never be tooken"

  • You notice that I landed on the four, right? So, any time you're rapping to a beat, the

  • key is to focus on the second snare. If you focus on the second snare, you'll always be

  • rapping to the beat. And that's how you do it.
