Aloha, It's Jason Poole and today I am singing in beautiful Halawa Valley on the island of Molokai, Hawaii.
This is a song that I wrote for the graduating class CZT#17 and this is the Zentangle Hula.
It goes something like this.
[Ukulele Playing ] It's been a rough day, I'm grumpy and I'm tired,
and my to do list is at least 3 pages long
But, I know of a way To help me feel inspired
And I remind myself by singing this little song.
Zentangle Hula, Zentangle Hula
It's all the rage
folks can do it at any age, oh
Zentangle Hula, Here's the golden rule-ah
Let your pen dance
and tangle your troubles away.
Grab a tile and a pencil
and take a deep breath in, so you'll be grounded in the here and now
Draw a dot in each corner,
and lightly sketch your borders and get ready to WOW
Cause it's time to draw your string
to make your tile swing
and that's how your piece will grow
Now trade your pencil for a pen
Breathe out and in again
cause it's time to start the show
Zentangle Hula, Zentangle Hula,
It's all the rage, folks can do it at any age, oh
Zentangle Hula, here's the golden rule-ah
Let your pen dance
and tangle your troubles away
With lots of warm affection
It's time to fill each section with the tangles that rock your socks
Like Hollibaugh and Crescent Moon
Flux, Tortuca and Festune
and don't forget Rick's paradox.
With one stroke at a time, you draw each line
and turn your tile this way and that.
Add some shading bits of gray
be grateful for the day
and don't forget to sign the back
Oh, Zentangle Hula, Zentangle Hula
It's all the rage, folks can do it any age, Oh
Zentangle Hula, here's the golden Rule-ah
Let your pen dance
And tangle your troubles away
Oh, let your pen dance
And tangle your troubles away
YEE-HA
