  • - I need (choking)

  • - [Operator] Hello?

  • (glass breaking) What's your location?

  • Hello, are you in danger? (dramatic music)

  • Hello, god damnit, if this is another.

  • (dramatic music)

  • - Miles, Burke, any leads?

  • - Looks like it was an accident.

  • He stood up from his desk, slipped

  • and broke his neck on the file cabinet.

  • - I think he was dead before he hit the cabinet.

  • This wasn't an accident at all.

  • (crying)

  • - I'm so sorry Mrs. Smalls, we'll get to the bottom of this.

  • - Thank you so much.

  • - You two have 24 hours before it's ruled an accident.

  • Got it?

  • - What am I missing here Miles?

  • - Why didn't he tuck his head?

  • Instincts tell you to protect your head when falling.

  • - Sometimes instincts fail.

  • - This is a lot of artificial sweetener.

  • So he likes things sweet but without sugar.

  • - There's definitely a lot of sugar in these.

  • What are those?

  • What?

  • - [Miles] Why are these so loose?

  • - The man just liked wide and comfortable shoes.

  • But look, barely any grip.

  • - Where'd you find those candies?

  • - Bottom drawer.

  • (dramatic music)

  • Gross.

  • - [Miles] There's water down here.

  • - Okay so it was an accident.

  • The water settles it, I'm gonna go let the captain know.

  • - It doesn't settle anything Burke.

  • Where did it come from?

  • There's no leak, there's no cup.

  • - Who cares, it's a lead.

  • (dramatic music)

  • - So he likes things sweet without sugar.

  • Ripped box of unopened candy bars, loose loafers.

  • Needle bottle containing water.

  • (dramatic music)

  • Smalls was murdered and I can prove it.

  • - How's that?

  • - He was a diabetic.

  • - The man was hiding a box of chocolates.

  • - Yeah for emergencies.

  • Most diabetics have some form of sugar just in case

  • their blood sugar gets too low.

  • I think this was one of those emergencies.

  • - Where'd you find it?

  • - Ripped open in his bottom drawer.

  • He was rushing.

  • This leads me to believe something

  • was going on with his medication.

  • - There was also the water he slipped on

  • with his gripless shoes.

  • - Yeah those are just old shoes he had

  • for good circulation.

  • Very important to maintain a healthy blood pressure.

  • Plus, the water appeared after he fell.

  • Which is why this.

  • - A needle bottle.

  • - Was near it on the floor.

  • When that was intact it held the water underneath his desk.

  • - Ah, and taking water instead of insulin

  • for a few days is fatal.

  • Someone must have been switching his medication.

  • - One second, alright toxicology will clear up

  • any suspicions and I'll notify Mrs. Smalls

  • of our new findings.

  • - What was she doing here exactly?

  • - Oh she just mentioned she was dropping off

  • (dramatic music)

  • his medication.

  • (dramatic music)

  • - Yeah we'll go bring her in for questioning.

  • - Great job Detective Burke.

  • And you too Miles.

  • - Thanks Cap, appreciate it.

  • - Wait what do you mean you too?

  • - You can look forward to us solving every case now.

  • - Wait Cap, yo.

  • - Come on, hey I love that guy, he's so funny.

  • - You're a terrible person.

  • You're so bad,

  • you're a bad guy. - Don't hate.

  • (upbeat music)
