  • - (heavy sigh)

  • - I generally felt bad that I didn't know their music,

  • like that music video.

  • - (Mike) The guy in the Punisher hat is being really rude.

  • - (laughs) He thought Daniel was rude.

  • - (Mike) ...seems like he listens to music passionately

  • and he's very invested...

  • - Daniel does really listen to music passionately.

  • - (Mike) I have a love-hate relationship with him,

  • and they just kept quoting it to me. And I'm like, "Believe me,

  • - (Mike) It's not depressing. It's uplifting.

  • - (snickering)

  • I just didn't like that song, honestly.

  • - Poor Mike had to put up with all of us.

  • - (Daniel) This is what I expect from Linkin Park,

  • Wow! There's a really interesting feeling

  • when one of your favorite artists is just kinda like listening

  • and you just see them take in your criticism.

  • - (Tori) ...with the cheap graphics that wouldn't pass now.

  • - (Mike) Oh, don't worry. Those cheap graphics didn't pass

  • when we put the video out either.

  • - Good to know, Mike.

  • - I actually like those graphics. Is that just me?

  • - Tori ripped this band to shreds in this video.

  • you could hear the difference in the change in their style.

  • she does know that her friends hate our band.

  • - I was so confused, because there's literally

  • 3 million jokes about Linkin Park

  • on every social media known to man.

  • - (FBE) So that was the band Linkin Park. - (Brooklin) No way!

  • - (amused) She never got it.

  • - (Mike) She never figured it out. - I didn't until the end.

  • Even though one of the music videos that you guys showed us,

  • it had "LP" on the drum set.

  • - (Tori) Their newest song is sort of like a sellout in a sense,

  • just 'cause it's like... - I was so harsh!

  • - (Tori) "Oh, let's do what's trendy now

  • and let's bring in a female pop singer.

  • And then we'll make everything more mellow now...

  • - I mean, Tori's right.

  • - I still agree with that notion,

  • that their song was kind of a sellout.

  • - (Mike) ...our albums take 12 to 18 months to make.

  • - Hoo! - (Mike) Either we've come up

  • before the trend, like we've anticipated it,

  • or we make something that was cool 18 months ago.

  • - Oh. That does make sense.

  • - That makes sense to me.

  • It just so happened that the Chainsmokers came out with that song

  • with Halsey that was just kind of like that sort of,

  • "Oh, male singer, but let's throw in a female pop artist."

  • So it's not their fault.

  • - (FBE) What do you want to say to the teens who reacted to you?

  • - (Mike) I really enjoyed watching the video

  • of everybody listening to music.

  • I mean, I don't ever get a chance to see people

  • reacting to our music that way.

  • It was really fun and special for me to watch people

  • listen to it. - Okay, cool.

  • - (Mike) I mean, I feel like just them

  • rocking out to the songs...

  • That on its own was just amazing.

  • - I still occasionally rock out to those songs.

  • - Aww. That is so nice. Ah.

  • - I was sweet. It was-- ugh.

  • I'm melting right now.

  • - (FBE) So when you see someone like Mike

  • reacting to your opinions, what does it make you think

  • about the impact of this show and how you just never know

  • who's listening to what you have to say?

  • - It's interesting actually,

  • 'cause I never really took that into account.

  • There's been instances where I've realized,

  • "Oh, I probably should've paid more attention to what I said."

  • - I did feel empowered, because it's like they listened.

  • And they heard what we said as teens.

  • - I for sure forget that the people

  • that we do React episodes about will sometimes watch 'em.

  • - This is a great lesson on making comments on the internet.

  • There's how you can make sort of comments

  • without having to deal with the person face to face, right?

  • The only difference is that he gets to see my face,

  • and then I have to deal with the repercussions of it.

  • - (FBE) Finally, if Mike or the rest of the band

  • is watching this episode,
