  • - We shootin', we ready?

  • Telling somebody to set the deadlifts down softer

  • is the most ignorant thing you could say.

  • When you deadlift, it's impossible

  • not to bang the weights.

  • Just like it's impossible for me

  • not to bang your mom.

  • I'm gonna bang something,

  • it's either the weights or your mom.

  • - [Man in black and white tee-shirt] This is a very

  • technical question, with much debate.

  • - This is a very technical question, with much debate.

  • And as a scientist, only I am qualified to answer it.

  • - Cool.

  • (new age ambient music)

  • - My name is Mike Tornabene, I'm part of a two-men

  • writing team slash business called Mike And Gian.

  • - My name is Gian Hunjan.

  • I'm the co-creator of Mike And Gian comedy.

  • We make the Dom Mazetti videos.

  • And currently the Bro Science videos.

  • - Gian and I have been doing this for close to four years.

  • You put in the work, you put out a video,

  • you get people to follow, you repeat.

  • - [Mike] I've played Dom Mazetti.

  • Playing this character

  • and people just think that that's me.

  • You've ever win two gold medals

  • in the same category, uh-huh uh-huh!

  • They think sometimes just the, a douche bag.

  • You know, being an animal on camera.

  • For the record, I apologize to any

  • super hardcore fans, if I break your heart,

  • but I'm actually not Dom Mazetti.

  • I'm doing a way?

  • I got this?

  • - What goes into a Bro Science video

  • is Mike and I usually just start of

  • and we'll just start outlining it.

  • The toughest part is the writing.

  • - You know, we'll think about things like

  • what's topical, what do we have to talk about,

  • what do we find funny?

  • Should I be taking pre-workout?

  • I'm addicted to pre-workout.

  • We did have a joke in one of the Ask the Professors,

  • it was how do you choose your pre-workout?

  • And we said we based it on a couple of factors,

  • (mumbling) if the ingredients sound like

  • they could be light saver fuel.

  • Well I don't say, I don't think we

  • can be very informative as far as

  • actually finding out how to work out properly.

  • But we're informative in the sense of

  • getting it in on gym culture.

  • But at the end of the day,

  • it's just always got to be funny.

  • - The -- - Break --

  • (Mike and Gian laughing)

  • - What was that from John Kiefer? - Yeah.

  • (Gian laughing) - Dude was big on it.

  • - [Mike] Alright, what do we got left on this bullet point?

  • - [Gian] We got a amphetamine possibility.

  • Potential for the FDA pulling it.

  • Flavors, turn-up factor, influence.

  • Promise of results.

  • - [Mike] So we got a good amount.

  • - So lunch?

  • - Yeah.

  • - [Gian] Right.

  • (funky instrumental music)

  • - [Mike] What do you get going on street guy?

  • - Trying to line up some dates but ...

  • - How's that going?

  • - [Gian] It's gone, I try to not do online dating

  • as much as I have been.

  • - [Gian] So Mike and I grew up together in New Jersey,

  • we've been good friends since we're in second grade.

  • - And we started Mike and Gian,

  • I believe senior year of college.

  • We never thought of YouTube or the Internet

  • as like a place we could actually

  • have a living, a career.

  • - Schedule wise, let's do a standalone pre-workout video.

  • then an Ask the Professor.

  • - And then are we going to jump right in into

  • like a Day in the Life?

  • - Yeah

  • - [Mike] Okay, we're just gonna jump right into it.

  • - [Gian] Let's do it.

  • That's why I like working with you,

  • because always on the same page, you know?

  • - Vibe, dude.

  • - [Gian] Yeah.

  • - (mumbling), cheap.

  • - [Gian] Done deal.

  • - I've been in Cali too long.

  • - Yeah dude.

  • - [Mike] Why are we doing this?

  • - Talking about vibes and cheap.

  • (ambient note)

  • - [Mike] You know I moved out here with Gian.

  • My girlfriend's out here too.

  • Basically, once our day's over,

  • it's just like sit down and be glad

  • that we're the spending time with each other.

  • My friend Ken, one of my best friends from childhood

  • and his girlfriend came out to visit for the week and --

  • We used to be, (Ken chuckling)

  • Oh it was me, I used to be crazier in high school.

  • I was like more extroverted and just like.

  • Yeah, now it's like, I just --

  • - [Ken] Extroversion,

  • - really, don't see a need

  • to be loud Dom Mazetti, yeah.

  • - It's a good character. - It sounds fitting.

  • (Mike laughing)

  • - [Ken's girlfriend] You were worried.

  • You were worried that he was actually

  • going to be like that.

  • - [Mike's girlfriend] I wouldn't talk to him

  • if he was actually like that.

  • - [Mike] So I've got that element of surprise.

  • Now I'm like such a douche bag and so obnoxious,

  • it's like, anything I am other than that,

  • is like "Wow, okay!", so --

  • - [Ken] What a total relief. - Yeah!

  • - The guys meet me and like,

  • "Dude, you're just boring as hell."

  • (Ken laughing) - Sorry to disappoint, bro.

  • (everyone laughs)

  • - I think I just enjoy hanging out and

  • just telling jokes with my friends.

  • That's what I like to do, having a drink,

  • sit down outside and just talk about stories and laugh.

  • - Future of Bro Science, what we want to do

  • is just pump out quality content consistently

  • for the foreseeable future.

  • - YouTube never existed?

  • Geez, I'd like to think I'd find a way.

  • But without it, it'd be a lot different.

  • - [Voiceover] Where would you be if YouTube never existed?

  • - Probably on Vimeo.

  • (everybody laughs)

  • - Nah (laughs).

  • (new age ambient music note)

- We shootin', we ready?
