  • -Can we guess where these nuggets came from using only our nugget hole?

  • -Let's talk about that.

  • ♪ (theme music) ♪

  • -Good mythical morning! -In the 1950's, Robert C. Baker, a food

  • science professor at Cornell University created in his lab a true staple of the

  • American diet: the chicken nugget. Now, little did Robert know, he hadn't just

  • come up with a way to fry chicken goo and sell it, he had created an empire.

  • -And we have tasted the fast food burgers and the fast food fries but today we are

  • going to find out how well we know our nuggets. It's time to play...

  • -As you can see, we can't. -We're gonna be tasting 6 different

  • nuggets. We don't know what order they're gonna come in but they will be:

  • Carl's Jr/Hardee's, Chick-fil-A, McDonald's, Wendy's, KFC, and a Tyson

  • frozen nugget and then a bonus round that is some sort of Frankenugget combination

  • -of multiple nuggets. -Now, the loser of this game has to drink

  • the dreaded Chug-it Nugget, which is a mixture of all the nuggets and sauces. Ew!

  • And these will be presented to us using the patent pended Chicken Stick aka the

  • -Chick aka the Sticken. -Alright let's get started with round 1!

  • -Bring it in. -Bring in the nuggets.

  • -Oh, there it is.

  • -That's crispy -Let go of it!

  • -Oh yeah (laughs) I'm gonna be so good at this

  • -It seems so straightforward at this point -I'm all over it.

  • -But I've thought this before- -I'm like sauce on a nugget right now. I'm

  • all over it. Well, I'm half on it but then if I dip it all the way, then I gotta

  • put my fingers down in there and you're not gonna wanna share it. I have my guess.

  • -I have my guess. (Stevie) Okay, 3, 2, 1

  • (Both) MAC-Donald's! -We even said it the same!

  • -Yeah we did, we said MAC-Donald's. Hold on but we're so sure about it.

  • -Yes of course we're sure about it 'cause that's what it is. That one was easy.

  • -Okay, bring in the next nugget. -I love a nugget.

  • -(Robotic) I feel like I should talk like a robot. I don't know why.

  • -This one's got some sort of- Oh giving me the whole thing?

  • -Let go of it!

  • -That one's got some sort of Shake-n-Bake on it. That's a Shake-n-Bake nugget!

  • -I'm feeling it with my lips as I eat it. -You donkey-lipping?

  • -Half of the nugget is still on the outside of my mouth.

  • -That's a good idea. -I'm just feeling it with my lips.

  • You're not touching with your hands are you?

  • -(giggles) No. (crew laughs)

  • -(giggles) I don't know why I giggled like a little girl.

  • -I don't wanna give you any hints at this point. The first thing I wanted to say was

  • Wendy's and then the second thing I wanted to say was, that ain't Wendy's.

  • -That ain't Wendy's man. That's probably what it says on the package: "That Ain't

  • -Wendy's" -Just in case you were wondering.

  • -Alright let's guess. -This ain't Wendy's.

  • (Stevie) Okay here we go, 3, 2, 1

  • (Rhett) Tyson frozen. (Link) Frozen Tyson.

  • -You said frozen Tyson, that's incorrect. -Yeah we're all over this man.

  • -Are you fiving? -Yeah I'm fiving.

  • -I'm just happy to have nuggets shoved into my mouth. Like this is like heaven

  • -for me. If I die and this is what I- -Oh come on, you gotta warn me!

  • -I'm gonna donkey-lip this one. -Are you doing my technique?

  • -Uh huh -Half the nugget is still on the outside

  • -of my mouth. -Half the nugget is on the outside of MY

  • mouth. This is how everyone should eat nuggets in public.

  • It's shaped like the United States of America.

  • -How did you get all that? Is there a special promo going on somewhere? You know

  • what, they should do that. One of these restaurants should have a nugget for every

  • -state. -Yeah that has- Shaped like each state.

  • -Hawaii would be like four little nuggets. -(laughs) And you can put 'em all-

  • -Oh gosh that's a great idea! -Put 'em all together. Collect 'em all.

  • -Texas will be a big ol' nugget -I love it, then you get up into Rhode

  • Island. I don't even know what that is. Is that just crumbs? No offense Rhode Island.

  • -It's like a popcorn chicken. Oh man!

  • -Like the first one you got is like going real nasty and gnarly.

  • -State 'nuckies' (laughter)

  • -State 'nuckies' -They're gonna call them state nuckies

  • (laughing) Don't call them state nuggets, call them state nuckies

  • -I feel like at this point I have to say, there's nothing that's been added to these

  • -Ooh -Think you're wrong, my friend.

  • -I didn't taste 11 herbs and spices but I don't think they put those in their

  • -It had no form. -Yeah you're right.

  • -It was formless. -It had no form at all. There was no shape

  • -to it. -No shape at all.

  • -Nope, none at all. -They didn't put that in any fun little

  • -shape. -Then next year we could do all the

  • -countries. -Yeah.

  • -There's like 260 countries. -Geogra-nuggets.

  • -geogra-nuggets. -They're gonna sell 'em in the cafeteria

  • -man. School lunch. Geogra-nuggets. (Rhett) We gotta tell Michelle Obama.

  • -I'm ready to guess. (Stevie) Okay, 3, 2, 1

  • (Rhett) Hardee's! (Link) Carl's Jr!

  • -Oh we guessed different but it was the same thing.

  • -Yes. I went East Coast on y'all. -Dude, it was star-shaped. You couldn't

  • -feel that? -Yeah, like a starfish. They have the new

  • starfish nuggets at Carl's Jr.

  • (Rhett) Okay, bring the nuggets in. (Link) Still hungry for some nuggets.

  • (Link) Never turn down a nugget.

  • I'm trying to talk but there's a nugget there.

  • (Lizzie) Open your mouth wider. (crew laughing)

  • -That nugget's like piece of coral. -You gave me a Hawaii nugget. You

  • literally gave me state nuckies. Hawaii. (Lizzie laughing)

  • -I almost choked. That is an undulating nugget, man.

  • -It was good though. It was a good nugget. -But if I had to describe the shape of it,

  • -it would be like a sea creature. -It was like you threw a rock at a chicken

  • and just (explosion sound). All the pieces that happened and they just fried 'em.

  • -Is that how they make nuggets these days? -This place, they do. Bring out the

  • -chicken rock! -They stone chickens into nuggets?

  • -Yeah they do at this place. -Dang man.

  • -'Cause it was a weird nugget.

  • -I think I prefer the molds.

  • -I think what they did was they went to some restaurant and said, alright give me

  • your reject-weirdest looking-you're- never-gonna-sell-this-shaped nugget but it

  • still needs to taste good. And then that's what they just shoved into our nugget

  • -holes. -(laughs) Okay.

  • (Stevie) Okay guys, are you ready? 3, 2, 1

  • (Rhett) KFC. (Link) Carl's Jr.

  • -You think that's- There's no 11 herbs on that.

  • -You don't know that. You don't know how many herbs there are.

  • -I think that was a Carl's Jr. They're always switching up and doing something

  • interesting. (Stevie) Okay guys, ready for your scores?

  • -Yeah -Oh yeah, where do we stand?

  • (Stevie) Rhett, you have 6 points. -I didn't miss! I'm the nugget king!

  • (Stevie) Link, you have 3 points. (laughter)

  • -Man, my nugget hole's working so well today!

  • -Man you are lucky. -You can't win now, man.

  • -You know what, I'm never gonna turn down an opportunity to taste a Frankenugget

  • so let's go for it.

  • -Okay moving into the Frankenugget round, Link, I think it's only fair, even though

  • -I haven't missed any (laughs) -Dang you lucky nugget dog!

  • -to make each one of these nuggets in the Frankenugget, there's 2 of them, 1.5

  • points. So if I miss both and you get both right, we can tie and I'll be your Chug-it

  • -buddy. -Okay, all right. Bring it in.

  • I feel like I'mma have to go wide.

  • (crew laughing)

  • -I'm trying to pull it apart. -I'm definitely enjoying it.

  • -The overall breading is a contribution from our crew. I'm trying to get rid of

  • -that. -The breading was a little overwhelming.

  • But I like the eating with the back of my hand. I can employ that technique again.

  • -I'm getting a little information from 1/2 -You guys did something tricky on this one

  • You did something tricky, didn't ya? You tried to trick us.

  • -I know what one of them is definitely. -I've completely missed the first one. The

  • first one was just completely covered in batter and just went straight past me.

  • -I got this nailed. Based on your correct answers from earlier, I am 100% confident

  • in my answers at this point. I am ready to redeem myself.

  • -Okay. (Stevie) Okay, 3, 2, 1

  • (Rhett) Chick-fil-A and Hardee's. (Link) KFC- Oh I meant to say Chick- I

  • said KFC again but I mean to say Chick-fil-A. So Chick-fil-A and Tyson.

  • -It was the Chick-fil-A fried though. It wasn't the grilled.

  • -No, it was the grilled. -But I said Chick-fil-A, that's my answer.

  • -But you said fried and it's definitely grilled so it's the grilled Chick-fil-A

  • -and it's the fried Tyson. -I said Chick-fil-A and what'd I say?

  • -Hardee's? (Stevie) You said Chick-fil-A & Carl's Jr

  • (Stevie) and Rhett, you're 100% correct

  • -What?! -Down to it, it was the fried one?

  • (Stevie) It was a Chick-fil-A and a Carl's Jr, yeah

  • -But you thought it was fried (Stevie) I mean it was grilled.

  • -Oh but I got both of 'em right though! -But you didn't-

  • -But I still win! -You still win. Alright, congratulations

  • -I thought y'all did something tricky and you put the fried in there.

  • -I'll chug the Chug-it Nugget because you know what, it's still a nugget, it's gonna
