Critics say the appointment to family members

raises questions about conflicts of interest.

Snap, the company behind Snapchat, has based its international headquarters in Britain.

All sales made outside the US will be booked in the UK,

setting it apart from other US tech companies,

which have made their European base in countries with lower tax regimes.

The messaging startup which plans to go public this year,

cited the strengths of UK creative industries as a reason for the move.

And the British Pound has continued to slide in value against the Dollar and the Euro,

a day after it dropped to its lowest level in two months.

The drop came after the prime minister Theresa May made comments that appear to signal the UK could be heading for a so-called "hard Brexit",

which would see it leave Europe Single Market.
