  • - Men and women can totally be friends.

  • Unless you're an asshole, and then, it's your fault.

  • (perky music)

  • I guess we're talking about straight men and straight women.

  • - Yeah, yeah - [Striped shirt] I should say

  • because men and women, - [Solid shirt] And not

  • brother and sister.

  • 'Cause I brought that up, and people were like,

  • that's just like, I mean, that's the same concept.

  • It's the same concept.

  • You can be friends with your brother without...

  • - It's different, it's so different.

  • - I do think that you, you know,

  • at least one of the people in the friendship

  • will question it at some time,

  • like if, you know, they are, even if, I mean

  • they're attracted to each other,

  • they're not attracted to each other.

  • But I don't think that doesn't necessarily

  • ruin the friendship.

  • Sometimes that is the best relationship,

  • is like, transitioning from that.

  • - Yeah, you could get close as friends,

  • and then, you know, fall in,

  • like just test it out,

  • and then maybe it will become a great relationship,

  • because you started as friends,

  • you have so much in common,

  • you know his backstory,

  • then you write a movie about it.

  • I think you can be friends with a guy

  • if you're not attracted to him.

  • - Yeah.

  • - If you're attracted to him,

  • then it's like you're gonna be fighting that.

  • Or, if he's attracted to you,

  • he's gonna sort of, like, you know,

  • the friendship intentions might not be true or honest,

  • and that makes it complicated.

  • A lot of the times, I think the guy would sleep with you

  • if he wanted to.

  • It might not even be that he likes you.

  • He just would sleep with you.

  • I don't know, what do you guys think?

  • - Yeah, I agree.

  • I mean, it's like I think if opportunity presented itself,

  • it would definitely be a why not, you know,

  • on his side.

  • - But, I would advocate making out with any of your friends.

  • Because you, as Alex said, if you make out,

  • you realize there's nothing there,

  • then you're friends and there's no tension, it's gone.

  • - I think it's so case-by-case basis.

  • Like, I have male friendships where I don't think

  • there's any tension.

  • We talk about dating, and like, our sex lives,

  • and whatever, but sometimes there is that tension,

  • and making out can be good for it, sometimes.

  • It isn't like all guys wanna like hook up

  • with every girl they see, obviously.

  • - But some do.

  • Some are like, whatever.

  • - The thing is, sometimes you do have a crush on your friend

  • or your best friend.

  • And if you do, you should be honest about it

  • and pursue it and tell them,

  • because you're not being honest

  • about what the relationship is.

  • - And you're not being honest with yourself.

  • - Exactly.

  • - And it's like, you don't wanna,

  • why are you torturing yourself,

  • like listening to them talk about people they like,

  • all the people they're dating,

  • when you're like, "It should be me."

  • - Yeah, don't do it, don't do it to yourself.

  • This is classic high school TV show drama.

  • - But it happens to everybody.

  • Tell us in the comments if you think

  • dudes and dolls can be friends.

  • Bye!

- Men and women can totally be friends.
