  • EA has revealed that 11 new games are headed to consoles and PC during its 2014 fiscal

  • year which began on April 1 this year and will run through March 31, next year.

  • EA Labels president Frank Gibeau says that in addition to announced games like Battlefield

  • 4, Madden 25, FIFA 14, NCAA Football 2014, NHL 14, and The Sims 4, other upcoming games

  • include new entries in the NBA Live and Need for Speed franchises.

  • He says: "We're very focused on getting into the NBA business in a significant way this

  • year."

  • We can expect more details at E3 next month.

  • Last year's NBA Live 13 ended up being cancelled. The last NBA Live, NBA Live 10, was released

  • in 2009.

  • A next-gen Need for Speed, meanwhile, was outed by job listings last October

  • Gibeau did imply that these new games could be for PlayStation 4 or the next Xbox, noting

  • that "regarding next generation consoles, we are under a non-disclosure agreement with

  • our platform partners. However, we're planning a full reveal at E3 including more next-generation

  • titles in development for fiscal year 2014. This will include breakthroughs in graphics

  • and gameplay for some of our biggest franchises including Battlefield, FIFA, Madden, NBA Live,

  • and Need for Speed."

  • In addition to the 11 console and PC games, EA will also release 15 new mobile games during

  • the fiscal year, including Plants vs Zombies 2 and "a new game from the Bejeweled team."

  • Gibeau clarified that we shouldn't expect any new Star Wars games in this fiscal year.

  • So not before March 31, 2014.

  • As far as what else EA has planned, we do know Respawn Entertainment's first game will

  • be shown at E3. You can expect any other announcements to come at EA's E3 press conference, which

  • will take place on Monday, June 10th.
