  • We're going to do a basic girls trim on Daisy

  • it's been a long time.

  • I just washed and conditioned it. I still condition my girls hair

  • I don't like to just use

  • the shampoo conditioner combos because it's harder to comb it out.

  • At least put a leave in conditioner if you're going to do that

  • We condition huh Daisy. Uh huh

  • and I also use a leave in conditioner for her. The less painful

  • you can make this for little kids the better. you don' want to hurt them. they won't ever want to get their hair done. Ha Daisy?

  • I'm just going to brush it out with a paddle brush. So i'm going to grab

  • a comb and some scissors

  • pump it up all the way

  • so I don't have to bend over as much. If you don't have a chair.

  • you can use a tall barstool or if you need to sit down

  • in a chair you can do that too. But it's easiest to work if you don't have to bend over

  • Ok. So i'm going to comb all of her hair

  • straight back. And then i'm going to part is straight down the middle.

  • And I think it's easier just to run the comb straight back through

  • the hair and then push up. It doesn't have to be perfect. I don't really

  • part her hair in the middle a lot. But since we're doing a really basic trim.

  • it's not really going to matter

  • and then go through and comb everything nice and straight.

  • if you have snarls and

  • bunchy spots when you trim the hair

  • especially take a lot of care and make sure you don't have anything stuck behind

  • the ear. If you have those snarls

  • up in here when you cut it then you're going to have long pieces sticking out.

  • make sure you comb it really straight.

  • all the way around

  • so i'm going to start in the middle back/ Daisy look down!

  • then i'll take

  • take a small section right here and pull it straight down

  • then i'm going to cut half of an inch off now this is my guide

  • What I just cut right here. and i did small little point cuts

  • Because I don't really want hers to be super blunt. If you want it really blunt you can

  • do that.

  • there's my guide. and just cut. here hair was in an a-line and that's why we're getting

  • more length

  • down here than we had in the middle. I'm trying to even it out

  • So i want it to be more straight across with a soft line

  • so... I'm goint to pull all that hair

  • I'm still pulling from

  • from her ear i'm going to pull back

  • pretty much straight. which will still give it a little bit of a curve

  • longer towards the face but I like that I don't like it when it comes

  • this way for her anyway. Because I like to stick her hair up

  • I wanna have a little bit more length in the front

  • on the side here i'm going to have her look straight. And i'll take that guide piece

  • and i'll match the sides right up to that

  • cutting.....

  • if it's this

  • length i usually have them tilt away so i don't have to deal with the shoulders as much.

  • there we go. We still have our guide.

  • Okay so this side is done. We're going to go over on the other side now

  • there's my guide and go over from there.

  • Okay look straight

  • when you come around the shoulder you need to make sure that they're not looking down. Or you're going to have

  • uneven hair. So always tell them to look straight. and then follow your guide around.

  • Okay

  • You'll get the same length on both sides by pulling this down straight

  • in front. We have a little long piece right here. I'm going to snip that off

  • Okay look at mommy

  • we're getting close. this one may be a little longer right here. there we go. so just check it

  • and then. that's it. that's all we're going to do for the haircut.
