  • Whatup? So this is Day 5... I can't believe it's already Day5

  • of Odigo47 where I'm going to travel to all 47 prefectures in Japan

  • and vlog everyday that I'm out

  • So you guys will basically see every part of Japan

  • And today I had to wake up a little bit early

  • It's like seven

  • Because we needed to film some more

  • If you guys missed Day 4, we're in Hakodate

  • But it got dark too quickly, we couldn't film some stuff we wanted to film so we had to wake up a lil' bit early

  • Before we leave Hakodate this morning so right now it's seven

  • We're gonna walk around this area a little bit

  • and film a little bit more

  • before we head out to Aomori Station

  • Which is even more down south, it's next prefecture!

  • It's the most northern prefecture in Honshu

  • I'll take you there, I'm kinda dead at the moment, sorry about my voice

  • See you guys there!

  • Whatup so we are out

  • and doing a little filming in the morning

  • and before we take our train to leave Hakodate

  • Got my nice equipment over here

  • The two young peeps are over there

  • Whatup? so we are almost done filming for this morning till we head out

  • to Aomori

  • If you guys wanna check out what type of video we're taking, all these clips are gonna be on the Odigo Youtube

  • Um, Youtube Channel

  • That video will be posted...i'm not sure when

  • but stay tune up on that channel, I'll put the link right there

  • I can't put my hand there coz I'm holding my other camera

  • I'll put annotations right there

  • Also in the about section, you should check that out

  • And, yeah stay tuned on that channel because we're gonna have a lot more!

  • Videos featuring... some famous couple and that's Rachel and Jun

  • Whatup?

  • We are leaving our Airbnb in Hakodate

  • and oh my gosh this is so icy!

  • On this sidewalk

  • That's our train right there, we're going to Aomori Station with this train

  • We just made it to Aomori

  • Whatup? So we finally made it to Aomori Station

  • And there was about a 2 hour Shinkansen ride from Hakodate Station

  • We are not staying in Aomori, we are simply going to Aomori to pick up a rental car

  • because it's the next prefecture down from Hokkaido

  • And then we are going to drive to Akita

  • The reason why we are skipping through Aomori first

  • and go back to Aomori last

  • Is because we need to hit up a festival in Akita

  • During the day that it's going on

  • So we need to go to Akita first

  • So that's the reason why we are going through Aomori to Akita

  • That right there is when you know you're in Aomori

  • Look at thaaaaat!

  • So this is Aomori Station

  • A brief glimpse for you guys

  • We'll be back here

  • We're just picking up a rental car from here and heading down to Akita

  • Master driver Jun

  • Jun the master driver

  • So Rachel can make these really weird sounds with her stomach

  • Not sure if you guys can hear that, but that's creepy!!!

  • No one appreciates my talent

  • Do you hear that?

  • Yo we are the car, son!

  • These are like gingerbread houses

  • Look at these things

  • So we saw a vending machine, we stopped to see

  • We stopped

  • because we were so thirsty

  • And check this out yo, check this out

  • So, the vending machine's all the way up there

  • Look like all the way over there

  • So look at this we have to climb up this snow

  • And then climb up some more snow

  • to get to the *oooh shmap!!

  • To get to the vending machine that is all the way down there

  • And look how deep...look how deep this is

  • Look how deep this... how much my boot goes inside the snow

  • It's insane!

  • So we want to get a water because we're thirsty

  • Oh.....and what do you know??

  • You can't get it!

  • Look at that, look at that!

  • Yeah I was not made for snow

  • Or winter

  • And these trees are like raining snow right now

  • The snow is melting!

  • On my head!

  • Oh my goodness

  • We're finally back

  • So if you need to use the telephone in the middle of nowhere

  • They have a telephone

  • Go, Aomori! Go, Aomori!

  • So this place right here says "Drive-In"

  • And over there says "Drive-In"

  • We're gonna get Ramen at that place!

  • Doesn't look sketchy at all

  • Nope!!

  • It's like an actual restaurant

  • Hey baby, let's go around there

  • I just got a set, Ramen set and a Pork dish with rice

  • It looks good!

  • Oh my god that looks delicious

  • Jun what did you get? What's that?

  • So what is this again?

  • Tsugaru Ramen, Tsugaru is this area

  • Oh the area?

  • Oh my god that's mine

  • Mine's a pork, egg and donburi

  • Pork donburi!

  • What's "wako"?

  • The chicken and Oyako

  • Oyako?

  • Chicken?

  • Chicken and egg

  • Parent, and...what, child egg??

  • Ah Oyako, the kanji Oyako

  • Jesus that is a lot of fried chicken!!

  • This bowl is the size of my stomach

  • She didn't even ask for Oomori, but I guess in Amori they give you Oomori

  • This is Toku-mori, this is not Oomori

  • So if you guys wanna know exactly where we are

  • So, we went from Aomori, the place up top north

  • and we're going to Akita, the place on the...

  • Uuuh what is it..

  • South-west of this screen

  • That sounds weird

  • On the bottom-left of this screen

  • And we are the blue dot right there so we are like at the middle

  • Now that was really good actually!

  • Go team! Go Drive-through rest stop!

  • In the middle of Akita!

  • No, middle of Aomori

  • Yeah, this snow

  • Is almost as tall as her

  • Almost as tall as me

  • We're the same size

  • You know what this reminds me of? The texture of cotton candy

  • Like it's really fluffy but then you touch it and gets harder and then wet and solid

  • Or like one of those snow cones

  • Oh yessss

  • It's 4°C!

  • See that? 4°C

  • Celsius! In Farenheit I'm not sure what that is my American fellows!

  • Yo, so...

  • So Rachel&Jun have butt pillows!!!

  • You laugh!!

  • But at the end of this week you're gonna have a sore butt

  • and I'm gonna be all nice and fine!

  • So, because we're in the car and we're gonna be in for a while

  • we're trying to entertain ourselves and the way we are doing it

  • is we are going to speak in Japanese in a very...

  • Basically they're gonna annoy me!

  • While I'm driving!

  • ...in a Gaikokujin way

  • So...

  • That's a cute accent!

  • We made it to Akita!

  • What is Akita famous for?

  • Akita is famous for being Akita

  • Yeah, yeah, Akita

  • It's a white christmas

  • I haven't had this in so long

  • This one is my favorite by the way!

  • Like the chocolate

  • with almonds

  • I think it's almond

  • Whatup? So we are obviously...

  • I mean it looks like a different area because we are

  • We finally made it to Akita

  • We are staying in a business hotel

  • It looks like it's 5 minutes from Akita Station

  • so it's pretty close and in the middle of the city

  • I mean it looks kinda city-like doesn't it?

  • I think so!

  • So we're staying at a business hotel near Akita

  • And look it's only in Japan

  • Look at that!

  • Like, you need to put your key in here to turn on the light

  • Like, what is that, come oooon

  • And...so this is what it looks like

  • This is my stuff

  • Got a bed

  • Got a window

  • Got a nice actual big tv

  • Jesus!

  • Let's see how the bathroom looks

  • Unit bath!

  • Yep that's a unit-bath

  • Which means the shower and

  • the toilet are in the same location

  • Whatup whatup?

  • So there are a lot of Kiritanpo places

  • Oh we are in the red light district right now

  • There's something called Campus Queen

  • Door's closed, no windows

  • We're at a Kiritanpo place

  • So what are we ordering bro?

  • We are ordering this Kiritanpo Nabe

  • which is really famous in Akita

  • This Kiritanpo is made of rice

  • And I'm going to order this Hinai Jidori Chicken Stick

  • Hinai Jidori is one of the best chicken in Japan

  • Wait I want one too!

  • What's up? So we're gonna eat some Kiri-kiritanpo

  • So Kiritanpo is this stuff right here

  • Right here!

  • Supposedly it's like in-between rice and mochi

  • and I like rice and I like mochi so this should be pretty good

  • So, also if you come here to Akita, you gotta get the chicken

  • What kind of chicken is it called?

  • Hina-e...Jidori?

  • Hinai Jidori

  • Yeah we just passed by

  • That's correct?

  • Yes that's correct

  • Okay! And I'm eating a Tare one

  • Tare sauce

  • And that's good!

  • Oh yeah!

  • Yeaaaaah we're making Zosui!

  • If you guys don't know what Zosui is um..basically you just put the rice to soak up all the soup

  • Yo this Zosui

  • I mean basically it's just like: imagine rice soaking up all of that tasty tasty soup!

  • That's basically it, and it's bomb!!! Baby!

  • So we just finished dinner

  • I think that's gonna wrap it up for today

  • So that's gonna be another vlog Day 5

  • of Odigo47
