  • Some of the common mistakes people experience, while learning how to do a front side smith

  • grind front side one eighty out, to fakie, is that the ledge tends to hold you in there

  • and sometimes it's really hard to get away from it. The reason is the same, as with a

  • front side smith grind. You're king pin is made of such strong material, that when it

  • actually starts to grind, into the corner of the ledge, it doesn't grind as well and

  • it eats up at the ledge and it tends to hold you in there. The only way to combat that,

  • is to make sure that you have as much weight, on the tail, as you can and also, having your

  • foot focused, on the very last bit of the tail, is going to help. Be able to put all

  • the weight, right here, to get you up and out of there. The other thing, that you're

  • going to want to do, is make sure that you go fast enough so that your weight is headed

  • forward and you get in and out. If you're going too slow, the grind will just stop and

  • your weight will go forward and you won't continue in the grind position. Remember,

  • go fast, keep your foot on the tip of the tail and also remember the leading arm, going

  • to your left or away from the ledge, because that arm is going to control the one eight

  • out and get your clean and get you rolling away fakie. Those are just a few of the common

  • mistakes of a front side smith grind one eighty out.
