  • This week we're going to talk about something that a lot of people have trouble with

  • you might already know

  • thatMuchis used for UNcountable nouns

  • for example liquids

  • Like orange juice

  • Or milk

  • And we useManyfor countable nouns

  • Like cookies

  • Or bananas

  • So what’s the difference between Countable and uncountable nouns?

  • Can I put an ‘S’ at the end of the word milk? (milks) No.

  • if you cannot put a number in front of a noun

  • For example, ‘Money

  • It is UNcountable

  • You CAN NOT sayTwo Monies

  • A Countable noun is a noun you can count

  • In other words, a noun you can put a number in front of. For example, there are FOUR BANANAS.

  • Much = Uncountable nouns (milk, money)

  • Many = Countable nouns (cookies, bananas)

  • So when we ask someone

  • how much or how many

  • we have to remember if we're talking about a countable or uncountable noun
