  • Everyone ready? Let's begin.

  • Today's phrase is: sip on or let's go get a fifth.

  • Well, these words are pretty simple to understand.

  • All it means is let's go get a drink or go buy some alcohol.

  • You know, sip on is basically what you're doing.

  • You're sipping on something, you know?

  • Get a fifty (or fifth), unfortunately, it's the size of the bottle you're buying.

  • A fifty ounce or forty ounce, or thirty ounce.

  • We describe it by the size of the bottle.

  • Simple.

  • Now to the example situations.

  • Kid, I got paid today playaLets go get a fifty (or fifth)!!!

  • Yo, Solid, Lets go!!!

  • Hey Biggs, Its quitting time, Lets get summin to Sip on!!

  • Shit I heard dat!!! Lets roll.

  • Did you get it? You got it?

  • Well, let's help you out with it a little bit.

  • First example, he's telling his friend basically, "Yo, I got some money today," always a good situation.

  • "Well, let's go get a fifty," let's go get a fifty ounce of something to drink on.

  • And his boy is like, "Solid," which means cool, as you already know. "Let's go!"

  • Simple.

  • Second example, "Hey Biggs.." Biggs is just a name, a form of name, an expression of his boy.

  • "Biggs, it's quitting time." We all understand when it's time, the end of a day at a job.

  • "Let's get something to sip on." Let's go get something to drink.

  • The friend says, "Yeah, I heard dat. Let's roll," meaning let's go.

  • Simple.
