Reflexive pronouns

Make a real tight triangle in your three and get one ball popping.

Can you talk and play football at the same time?

Have a little chat around what you think you're going to bring to a practice in the final third today. So if you're a defender, what are you going to bring?

If you're an attacker, what are you going to bring?

Previously in my coaching I'd always planned that for them, not anymore.

I remember listening to Robbie Fowler talk and Robbie Fowler said when I practice finishing I don't need a goalkeeper in the goal.

Nah, see after two or three shots the goalkeepers get tired.

After two or three shots the goalkeepers can get tired, it can become unrealistic.

I just give myself little targets to go and score into.

So don't worry about not having a goalkeeper at this end.

It's about habits. Okay defenders, all in now.

Go on, go and be as aggressive as you want.

Make sure you're rotating round, different areas.

Come on, come on, come on, half a yard and goal, half a yard and goal, nice.

You're going to play into the defender who's going to play back the ball and we're going to go two versus one, okay?

So now we must go and attack the defender 2v1, 2v1, 2v1.

What's easy for you to defend against in a 2v1?

So this is what the defenders are saying they find easy, yeah?

When you try to run and you run, go on, go on, go on and I can just turn it into a 1v1 here and I can wait for your shooting moment and I can get my blocks off.

Okay, what can you two do to make that harder for him then?

Let's put a rule on it, no straight lines.

So somehow now we've got to get crossovers in.

What type of goals can you score from there?

What type of goals might we be able to get now if he can get me in?

So we might get some crossing and finishing out the practice as well now, yeah?

So if we can get those overlaps in wide areas, we might get some flash crosses, some cutbacks, I might stand it up, we might get some headers and volleys in there as well.

In central areas, is your mate going to get in and get goals or is he just going to be a decoy?
