But when Justin Timberlake was pulled over on Sunday night, the cop who arrested him for DWI had no idea who he was.

We're learning new details about Justin Timberlake's drunk driving arrest.

The 43-year-old pop star was with friends at the American Hotel in the Hamptons.

He reportedly came for drinks around 11.15 p.m.

Timberlake allegedly got so wasted, he downed his companion's drink.

When his friend returned from the bathroom, he reportedly said, Justin, that's my drink.

Surveillance video showed Timberlake driving down Main Street.

The officer who pulled him over was described as so young, he didn't even know who the pop star was.

Court documents obtained by Inside Edition show that Timberlake listed his address as Franklin, Tennessee, outside Nashville.

His occupation, professional.

His employer, self-employed.

Another court document shows he refused a breathalyzer test three times.

In doing so, he was informed that the refusal results in the immediate suspension and subsequent revocation of his license.

Devoted fans of his ex-girlfriend, Britney Spears, seem to be taking delight in Timberlake's arrest, sending her 2011 hit, Criminal, up to number 69 on the iTunes pop charts.

And is Britney herself mocking the arrest?

She shared a photo of a cocktail and her legs in a pool with the caption, it's the little things, you know?

Justin Timberlake is a really, really great guy.

Listen, this is clearly a mistake.

I bet nobody knows it more than he.

A stupid mistake.

Exactly, and he knows that, but he's not an irresponsible person.

He's not reckless, he's not careless.

Timberlake's lawyer sent us a statement saying he's looking forward to, quote, vigorously defending him on the allegations.
