  • JACOB SOBOROFF: Hey, it's Jacob.

  • Every day we bring you guys the best videos around.

  • And today we've got extreme hooping, the perfect burger,

  • and a brand-new "Epic Rap Battle."

  • [THEME MUSIC]

  • -Practice safe sex and wear sunscreen.

  • JACOB SOBOROFF: To celebrate the birth of America

  • and the Fourth of July, our most famous and most eloquent

  • founding father has a few words for everybody.

  • -[RAPPING]

  • JACOB SOBOROFF: You know them well.

  • This is the newest episode of ERB, now into its third season

  • and arguably the most popular series on the web.

  • The show continues its tradition of pitting popular figures

  • of history, real or fiction, against each other

  • to the delight of millions.

  • And in this episode, George has got

  • a tough opponent in William Wallace.

  • -[RAPPING]

  • JACOB SOBOROFF: If you have an idea of who you'd

  • like to see battle, all you got to do

  • is drop a suggestion in their comments.

  • MILES: Whenever I'm having my Burning Man withdrawals,

  • I just pick up my hula hoop and gyrate my way back

  • to tranquility.

  • But if there's no hoop to be found,

  • I'll just watch some videos of Rachael Lust.

  • The 2014 Female Hooper of the Year

  • just posted this last week, and it's

  • a master class in the art of hooping.

  • [MUSIC - OIKI, "GROOVE"]

  • She's got a ton of great tutorial videos on her channel

  • as well.

  • So excuse me as I head over there

  • to fine tune my hooping skills.

  • JACOB SOBOROFF: It is so crazy to think

  • it's been almost two decades since Good Charlotte began.

  • And now the twin brothers that started the group

  • have formed a new band.

  • They're calling themselves The Madden Brothers.

  • And they just posted the video for their first single,

  • "We Are Done."

  • [MUSIC - THE MADDEN BROTHERS, "WE ARE DONE"]

  • This is produced and directed by the same guys

  • behind "The Hard Times of RJ Berger" on MTV.

  • The Madden Brothers' debut album is

  • called "Greetings From California,"

  • and it's coming out this fall.

  • MIKE FALZONE: VidCon was last weekend.

  • And call me crazy, but I think the creators get

  • as much, if not more, enjoyment out of it than the fans.

  • So I brought my camera around with me

  • to show you all the creators, and the viewers,

  • and the people running around for seemingly no reason at all.

  • -What's your deepest, darkest fear and secret?

  • Tell me everything about yourself starting from, like,

  • '97.

  • Tell me your biggest regret in life

  • and also the last you cried.

  • MIKE FALZONE: This video also gives you

  • a rare glimpse of what it's like backstage.

  • -Tyler Oakley just walked in, and we're trying to get his

  • attention, but we can't.

  • -Tyler.

  • -Tyler.

  • -He's a--

  • -I love your hair, Ty.

  • [LAUGHTER]

  • MIKE FALZONE: But meeting all of you

  • guys is the best possible reminder

  • that it's not just like a number underneath the video.

  • There's actually someone there watching what you do.

  • So I can't thank you enough for that,

  • and it makes me want to do it until I can't do it anymore.

  • JACOB SOBOROFF: No Fourth of July party

  • is complete without a delicious burger.

  • But if you are going to be stuck indoors without a barbecue,

  • fear not.

  • The New York Times has your back.

  • Sam Sifton is a food writer and senior editor.

  • He consulted some of the country's finest burger masters

  • to find out what the best way to cook a juicy patty

  • is without a grill.

  • -You can make good burgers outside on the grill.

  • But to make great burgers, inside or out,

  • you want to cook on a flat top or a cast iron skillet.

  • You'll see all those little bits of fat in there.

  • That's the most important thing.

  • We hear the sizzle and everything is good.

  • JACOB SOBOROFF: Ooh, that will definitely come in handy.

  • If you need some more Fourth of July menu inspiration,

  • Angela put together a really great playlist for you

  • after the show.

  • AKILAH HUGHES: Hey, I'm Akilah, and you may know me from

  • my YouTube channel, youtube.com/smoothiefreak.

  • My Woman Crush Wednesday is Hannah Witton.

  • She's amazing.

  • She talks about sex education and is

  • interested in helping women.

  • But she's also very fun and lighthearted,

  • doing videos about how to cure a hangover.

  • -You're hungover because you're dehydrated.

  • So first things first, we need to rehydrate ourselves.

  • Is "rehydrate" a word?

  • The best type of food to eat when

  • hungover is the bacon sandwich.

  • I've got ketchup on my face, haven't I?

  • Don't care.

  • AKILAH HUGHES: She has over 50,000 subscribers,

  • and she's a frequent collaborator

  • with people like Sexplanations, TomSka.

  • And she's only 22 years old.
