  • - [Cookie Monster] Hello, celery farmer.

  • We need celery to make crunchy butterfly snack.

  • Can you help us please?

  • - Hello Cookie Monster and Gonger.

  • Welcome to the celery Farm. Sure I can help you.

  • Celery is a vegetable that grows out of the ground.

  • These large celery plants start out as tiny seeds.

  • The seeds are planted in soil

  • and they're put inside a place called a greenhouse.

  • With time, they start to grow into small plants.

  • When they're a little bigger, we plant the celery outside.

  • There's lots of celery to plant, so we use a big machine

  • called a transplanter to help us.

  • The celery grows and grows with long green stocks

  • until finally it's time to pick them.

  • The celery is cut, the bottom is trimmed,

  • and some of the leaves are trimmed off the top.

  • They get packed into boxes and stacked onto a truck.

  • Then they're set to the store where people can buy them

  • and bring them home.

  • The celery is crunchy and delicious.

  • Here's some salary for your butterfly snacks.

  • - [Cookie Monster] Thank you Ms. Farmer.

  • Celery, celery, we're going home with celery

  • Okay, Chef Gonger.

  • We got celery all washed and clean.

  • Now me wonder, how we make celery butterflies?

  • - Well, this is a wild idea,

  • but what if we check the recipe?

  • - Yes, let's try that.

  • - Okay, so first we cut the celery into short pieces.

  • - Cut it. Cowabunga!

  • - Then we fill the middle with cream cheese.

  • Then we use the apple slices

  • and the curly pretzels for the wings.

  • - [Cookie Monster] There we go.

  • - Oh and straight pretzels for the antennae.

  • - I'm sorry, the antennae?

  • - [Gonger] Yeah, those two little sticky up thingies

  • on top of the letter butterflies head.

  • - Oh, pretzel antennae

  • Wow, celery butterfly is so easy and so adorable.
