  • Good morning and welcome to quarantine day eight we are officially on the second week, one week to go maybe shorter.

  • There is a way to get out of quarantine earlier.

  • So we'll be dealing with that about halfway through the week.

  • But yeah, for now I'm getting pretty sick of being inside.

  • I am allowed to go outside.

  • I had lots of questions on my first week quarantine video about how was I able to go to the grocery store.

  • You're allowed to go out within walking distance of your home for essential things.

  • You're not allowed to go out for fun to go shopping or something like that.

  • But you're allowed to go for groceries if you need them or you're allowed to pop down to the convenience store but you're not allowed to take any public transportations, no trains or busses or anything, you have to walk there.

  • Those are the rules.

  • I try to avoid it as much as possible just because I don't want to deal with them checking in on my location and if I'm outside of the house they might be like what are you doing out there and question me and it'll just be stressful.

  • So I've only gone out grocery shopping once so far and I'm ordering most things online.

  • But yeah, it's not a super strict quarantine because in order to come into Japan you need to have two negative Covid test.

  • So the risk of you passing Covid onto somebody are extremely low.

  • They're just being super cautious requiring you to quarantine at all really.

  • So it's not like a super strict quarantine.

  • Like it would be if you did actually have Covid.

  • So we're in one of my offices at the moment.

  • I've been working on cleaning up this shelf today.

  • It's looking pretty good.

  • I've got all of my stationery organized into these boxes.

  • Now I did a purge, got rid of stuff that is not my favorite.

  • But as you can see, I still have a lot.

  • I do use it though down here is stuff that I have not properly sorted out yet.

  • And then I've just got a bunch of stuff on the floor, but I need to clean up.

  • So this is what I'm working on at the moment.

  • Thank you so much for all the recommendations on creams and stuff to use on my scar.

  • I'm honestly like overwhelmed with choice because you guys have given me so many stories of creams and stuff you use to make it look nice.

  • I've been using these like silicone scar sheets across it in my last vlog.

  • You saw me wearing them every day taking a break from it today so you can kind of see what it looks like.

  • It's getting getting there.

  • It's looking pretty decent.

  • Still a little red.

  • I don't know when that's going to go away.

  • I feel like this half has healed pretty nice.

  • This half is still kind of irritated.

  • Don't know what's going on there.

  • It's been about a month since I had my surgery now.

  • So making progress.

  • Another comment I got was, what the heck is this called?

  • I told you guys all to go eat one and then didn't tell you what it was called.

  • These are persimmons.

  • There are different types of them.

  • Try and find the ones that are this shape because they are not bitter and weird.

  • The ones that are shaped more like, I guess like a plum, like a long shape.

  • They're kind of strange and I think they need to be dried and able to be okay to eat.

  • But these ones are very sweet.

  • You can eat them when they're firm and they're still sweet and you can eat the peel if you like or you can peel it off.

  • But yeah, it's a persimmon.

  • I think these are fuyu persimmons.

  • That might be the type.

  • Don't quote me on that.

  • Say hi to everyone.

  • Quarantine week too bored of me yet.

  • Good boy, enjoying the sun.

  • Just any day.

  • Should probably do the laundry.

  • No, we are in my bathroom this morning because I'm filming some skincare because my skincare box is going to be released the day.

  • This video comes out.

  • I had so many messages from you guys over the last month or so asking one of my skincare walks would be out today is the day it's out there.

  • I will link it down below.

  • There's one new product in there that I have started to use in my daily evening routine, which I'm really liking.

  • I hope you guys like it as much as I do.

  • And the rest is pretty much my standard skincare routine that I've been doing for probably seven or eight years now.

  • They're on sale for about half price for all my subscribers until the boxes sell out.

  • So if you're looking to get some korean skincare I highly recommend all of these products.

  • I've used them myself for so many years and I've seen such an improvement in my skin while I was in Canada for the month or so that I was there.

  • I didn't bring any of my skincare because I'm an idiot.

  • I had other priorities but my skin was looking really rough when I got back and I've been back for just over a week now and it's looking so much better now that I've been keeping strict to my skin care routine so I really can see a difference after using all this stuff And I always get amazing feedback from you guys after you try it as well.

  • So if you're looking for simple really nice quality skin care check it out.

  • I'll have the link down below for all of these products.

  • The price will be $65.

  • The original price is 120 I believe.

  • So it's a really great deal.

  • Take advantage of it while you can it will only be around until all the boxes sell out.

  • So be careful and grab one quickly If you do want one just got back from doing my P.

  • C.

  • R.

  • Test fingers crossed it's negative and then I can submit that result into the quarantine app and I'll be free to go once they okay.

  • It it said that the test results will come before tomorrow at midnight.

  • Hopefully they come today because if it doesn't come until tomorrow at midnight that means I won't be released until two days from now And then that would only be two days sooner than I would have normally been released anyways.

  • So It's kind of a silly system.

  • Honestly it's not really worth the trouble of going out to get a PCR and pay for it etc.

  • But luckily I found this place at Sendai City Hall that did it for 1900 yen.

  • Which is only like $20 up until that place opened.

  • They were charging over $200 at all the other places.

  • So I wasn't gonna bother doing this fingers crossed that they get back to me early on.

  • I'll be watching my phone like a hawk today for that results email.

  • I don't know what the first thing I'm gonna do is probably just go to the mall because I can walk around get a coffee, enjoy the leaves.

  • Look at how pretty the leaves are right now.

  • This was right near Sendai City Hall.

  • There is a park across the road and it was just beautiful and the weather is so good.

  • Please let me out.

  • Good evening.

  • Welcome to quarantine day 11.

  • It's evening already.

  • I didn't really vlog today.

  • I'm still waiting for my PcR result.

  • I haven't gotten it yet and it's making me so cranky because I know it's going to be negative and when I get it back then I can submit it and be released.

  • But they're taking their sweet time with the results.

  • So I'm stuck inside until I get that.

  • I actually went on twitter and looked for people that had gotten their pcr test at the place that I did And I saw that some people didn't get it until like three days later so I could actually get them tomorrow and not today which is like only going to cut off two days of my quarantine at least I only spent $20.

  • It's not the end of the world, but I'll update you guys when I get that I'm going to go back to playing some switch.

  • I'm still playing unpacking.

  • It's so cute.

  • I really like it.

  • Good morning.

  • It is currently 1:20 p.m. On day 12 and I have some extremely good news.

  • I just received my negative covid test result.

  • I submitted it into the quarantine app and they got back to me within like 15 minutes and said I'm good to go.

  • What do I do with this newfound freedom.

  • I don't know what to do first.

  • I'm thinking that because it's still kind of early.

  • I might hop on the shinkansen And head over to Morioka.

  • It's only about a 40 minute train ride away and I do need to get a blood test to check my thyroid levels.

  • There's a really good thyroid clinic in Morioka to do that out so I could pop in there and get my blood test and then go see the fall leaves because it looks like Morioka is like peak fall at the moment.

  • And the park downtown is super pretty.

  • It would be really sad to miss it.

  • So yeah, let's go do that.

  • Welcome to Morioka.

  • It's a lot colder here.

  • I feel like it's about five degrees colder maybe and I don't know all the leaves are off of these trees already.

  • Hopefully the park I wanna take you guys to is still nice.

  • I'm gonna hop in a cab and go to the doctor first.

  • The park is actually right beside the doctor so we can pop down there after.

  • Alright guys, I'm gonna pop into the doctor.

  • Wish me luck, I hope everything's okay.

  • I'm really not looking forward to the ultrasound because my neck still hurts when I touch it so hopefully they won't want to do that but I think they might.

  • I'm definitely getting a blood test though.

  • The park is looking nice, it's behind me here, it should still be pretty.

  • So I'll see you guys in about an hour and I'll take you to the park.

  • Alright doctor is finished.

  • I did my blood tests.

  • He took a look at my incisions that it looks good and he gave me a cream to put on it.

  • Actually.

  • They're gonna mail me the results of my blood test so I don't really know how I'm doing yet but I'll keep you guys updated when I find out I'm heading to the park now so far.

  • It looks really pretty.

  • I think we got lucky and it's still like peak autumn here in Morioka.

  • I saw a cat earlier on the way here.

  • Well maple trees are so pretty in this park.

  • I'm going to swing by my favorite restaurant while I'm here in Morioka.

  • Hopefully they're open.

  • Here we are.

  • It looks like it's open.

  • There's one more place I want to go before I head back to sunday.

  • It's a little way agasshi shop.

  • I think it's just down here.

  • They do one sweet.

  • They specialize in one thing but they do it very well.

  • This is it here tiny little shop.

  • There's just one counter in here and they saw one thing, they're super cheap.

  • This is a pack of 24 $5.

  • They're like emoji.

  • I guess super squishy.

  • I wish you guys could feel this.

  • It's such a cool texture.

  • Let me take one out and show it.

  • So it's in a little paper wrapping like this.

  • You just peel off the paper and there's a squishy mochi sweet inside mm the texture is so nice.

  • They have a slightly nutty flavor to them but basically they're just slightly sweet mochi covered in a little bit of rice flour so it doesn't stick to your hand.

  • Okay lie.

  • There's one more place I want to stop by before I go back to Sendai because I've never been here in the fall before.

  • But definitely stop by.

  • If you're in the city, it looks like they were just doing a little festival here.

  • They still got the food cells set up.

  • They're not open though.

  • It's pretty peaceful here.

  • It's never overly crowded.

  • I usually spot one or two cats every time I come you can purchase one of these Emma they're called and write your wish on it and hang it up here and the priests will bless it for you.

  • Lots of different designs.

  • This place is really pretty in the fall.

  • Glad I stopped by here.

  • This is new.

  • I bet they prepared this for the olympics, touch screen, How it teaches you how to pray.

  • Huh?

  • That's really cool.

  • And I guess that concludes our Morioka adventure back home to Sendai back to regular vlogs.

  • Finally I'm free.

  • I'm not sure where I'm going for the next one but I will see you guys somewhere probably outside next week.

  • Thanks for watching.

Good morning and welcome to quarantine day eight we are officially on the second week, one week to go maybe shorter.
