  • - And I keep looking at Zawe, your breasts here.

  • (Zawe and Theo laugh)

  • I'm trying to draw your back line.

  • - Just so you don't think I am.

  • - Excuse me, this is not a Botticelli moment.

  • Well, it can be, I mean, how late does this go out?

  • Oh, hello.

  • I'm Zawe and I play Julia Thistlewaite

  • in Mr. Malcolm's List and yeah,

  • you might be calling me Picasso by the end of this.

  • I don't know.

  • We'll see what happens.

  • - I'm Theo.

  • I play Henry Ossory and yeah, let's do this.

  • I'm Freida and I'm trying to really focus

  • on my beautiful man next to me.

  • And I play Selina Dalton in Mr. Malcolm's List.

  • - Hi, I'm the beautiful man next to Freida.

  • My name is Sope Dirisu and I play Jeremy Malcolm

  • on Mr. Malcolm's List.

  • - And we are going to play portrait mode.

  • - We have 10 minutes to draw each other fully clothed

  • and we can't wait to show you at the end.

  • (upbeat music)

  • - My drawing skills are absolutely nonexistent.

  • So I'm choosing to focus on like one part

  • of this wonderful face.

  • And if that looks at like the face,

  • I'll count that as a success.

  • - Zawe you just backed yourself,

  • you said that you are actually quite good at this.

  • - Yeah, I started doing art in the lockdown.

  • - Oh.

  • - And you know, I kind of back myself.

  • I like the abstract impressionists,

  • so, you know,

  • I feel like this will be open to interpretation.

  • - I'm terrible.

  • I can barely write, let alone draw, so.

  • - That's like one line.

  • In all this time, you just did one line.

  • - Yeah. Hey, art takes time.

  • - Okay. I gave you a forehead.

  • - No, no, no.

  • - I think my, the favorite thing

  • about playing Julia was, to be honest,

  • to be one of this incredible ensemble that we have.

  • It was so fun

  • and she is someone who makes a lot of mistakes

  • and social gaffs and it was just very nice

  • to bounce off everyone.

  • - I think I was surprised at how much fun we had.

  • Like, I know it's a comedy,

  • but it was such a highlight to be on set

  • with all these fabulous people at the same time

  • and finding out just how hilarious Theo James is.

  • (Theo laughs)

  • - People don't know that about you, Theo.

  • I spent a lot of time yesterday, outing you as a comedian.

  • - Same here, Theo.

  • I was, I literally kept saying that over and over.

  • I mean like, you know, you've seen Theo's work,

  • but then in a scene with Theo,

  • if you manage to kind of even get through the scene

  • without laughing every two minutes,

  • then you were lucky, but, well,

  • we had such a blast with all your improv

  • and thank you so much for that.

  • - Yeah. The dinner part,

  • I feel like the dinner party scene

  • when we were all together,

  • I think for one of the first times,

  • was the moment that I realized that

  • everyone had these very sneaky comedy skills

  • that were gonna make it very, very hard

  • to do an entire film with a straight face.

  • But I think we managed it.

  • - I think it was such a blessing.

  • And I wasn't expecting to make a new family

  • with my new friends, making our new film.

  • - What about you, Theo?

  • - I would second that.

  • I think, you know, the twinkle in all of our eyes,

  • both in reality and you know, existentially,

  • was very important.

  • And I keep looking at Zawe, your breasts here.

  • I'm trying draw your back line.

  • (Zawe and Theo laugh)

  • Just so you don't think I am.

  • - Excuse me, this is not a Botticelli moment.

  • Well, it can be, I mean, how late does this go out?

  • - Well about three and a half years ago,

  • I dated some idiots,

  • and there were some very toxic relationships.

  • And then I realized I wanted none of it.

  • And so I actually made a list,

  • and the person who advised me to make that list

  • actually said, if you really want to make a list,

  • you have to be sincere.

  • So make sure you write,

  • even the things that you think might seem shallow,

  • just put them down.

  • One of the things on my list was that

  • I needed to be with someone

  • or have someone to call my partner who respected my culture

  • and who was curious enough to wanna learn more

  • about my culture.

  • And I would do the same return obviously,

  • and then would want to raise my child in both our cultures.

  • And that's exactly what's happened.

  • Another thing on my list was I was looking for someone

  • who was up for an adventure and low and behold,

  • I ended up marrying an adventure photographer

  • and my third one was shallow.

  • I'm sorry, but I just, it just had to be someone

  • who just was so good looking in my eyes,

  • that made my heart flutter every time.

  • - Mine, I had one stipulation,

  • which was she had to be able to bench press 150 pounds.

  • (Zawe and Theo laugh)

  • - I like that Theo!

  • - Oh my God, these guys are for real.

  • What the hell?

  • - Yeah, okay. She really did go impressionist.

  • - I wanted to make it edgy.

  • I kind of wanted you to be quite New York hipster in this.

  • - I like it. I like it.

  • Can we see your guy?

  • - Mine's more a stamp.

  • - Wow.

  • - That's cool, I like it.

  • - Mine has a little,

  • - Like a cartoon.

  • - Yeah. I focus way more on her hair.

  • She has really lovely hair.

  • - I would.

  • - You don't need to be kind.

  • - Well, I think I'm gonna give it seven for effort

  • and maybe four,

  • - Four for realism.

  • - For just liking it. Yeah.

  • - Okay. Because you hate it.

  • - 10 out of 10 because it was done with love.

  • - Yes. Thank you very much.

  • And 10 out of 10 too.

- And I keep looking at Zawe, your breasts here.
